MaraCruiz:
It's lovely dear. I like it. Matches your hair colour. It looks natural.

Did you highlight?

Little trace of highlight looks lovely when it shows below the brow. And you can set it with a little yellow, silver or bright shadow.

Practice more to make your arch sharper.
won't the colours of the eye shadow show on the brow? I mean, wont there be a yellowish tinge to the color of the brow for eg
Re: Learn Make Up Artistry For Free Here by MaraCruiz(f): 7:20am On May 10, 2015
Not sharp yellow. Kind of whitish. Whitish colours.

And you will make it tiny and blend out. It's the reflection that is beautiful.

Let me send you pictures so you understand what I mean.

Okay. Just saw this picture. This is the perfect description of what am trying to explain. Not so visible highlight but it's reflecting.

Especially used for bridal makeover.

At Monick, must be from the brush you use. Do you use blending brush?
Re: Learn Make Up Artistry For Free Here by MoNickk(f): 3:15pm On May 10, 2015
here's my look for today. Unfortunately, the highlight I used is not really visible because of my phone camera. hope my brows are better? thanks

Re: Learn Make Up Artistry For Free Here by MaraCruiz(f): 5:05pm On May 10, 2015
Oh my. So so beautiful. Proud of you Monick!

The only thing I want to point out is that the concealer you used on TOP of the brow is visible. Always blend it out. Not so nice letting it show.

Practice more. I love it!

MaraCruiz:
Foundation application:

Foundation forms the base of your make up. Apply your face primer before applying foundation.
To get that flawless looking make up, you have to choose a foundation that totally matches your skin tone.

Test 3 shades of foundation that is likely to be your skin colour. Choose the one that is your skin tone even before blending.

For foundation application, there is basically 3 method you can choose form:
with your fingers, with a sponge, or with a brush.
If you are applying on yourself, you can use your fingers but when working on someone, I prefer using a sponge(beauty blender). It gives it this airbrush effect and natural look. Makes it easy to blend for me.

When using a sponge, wet it a little then apply the foundation. It should be well blended. No noticeable lines should be seen where your foundation starts/or ends. It should blend smoothly into your neck and hairline.

Set your foundation with powder.

Nice one. Please which brand/types and colour of foundation, concealer and face powder is best suitable for fair and oily skin?

@ Mira, I recommend Classic oil mattifying foundation for very oily skin. But if it's just normal oil skin, Marykay medium coverage foundation is lovely.

For oily face too, use loose powder instead of Compact/pressed powder. Zaron loose powder, or classic loose powder is nice.

For concealer, I recommend L.A girl or Milani secret cover.

Watch out for my next post on applying concealer.

Thanx Maracruiz

I just stumbled across this thread and I'm loving it...
The tip you gave about shaping one's brows before shaving,I think I'm gonna try it cause I usually have a problem with my brows, the last time I went to a salon the guy totally spoilt it so I'm regrowing it now..
Once again,thanks.

Please what are the tools and colour used for this eye brow
Re: Learn Make Up Artistry For Free Here by MaraCruiz(f): 8:50am On May 14, 2015
@ Savigne, ok dear. You are welcome here.

@ Mamzii, for dry skiin, use compact powder. You can use Classic mineral compact powder either colour 2 or 3. Most likely colour 3.

@ Chig, for eyebrow, always use brown eye pencil. It looks more natural. Black pencil is a no no. Airwoman colour 18 for fair people and colour 03 for dark people. Or just work with your hair colour. You can also use eyebrow filler to fill in.

Then for highlighting under the brows, you need a concealer that is 2 shades lighter than your skin tone.

For tools, you need angle brush, Q-tip and mascara wand basically.

Sorry I have not been able to post any tutorial yet. Quite a busy week for me at the studio.

Stay tuned.
