Education / Re: When Nigerian Degrees Were Worth The Name by chika98: 10:59pm On Dec 12, 2010
I'd say they were worth the name around late 90's at most. Education starts from home when one is still very young. If you're parents are well cultured then good for you . . . . if they aren't then good luck and welcome to the world of many Nigerian PhD holders that can't speak nor write well.

I thought it was brilliant especially the bit about the deadly hallows. Now I can't wait for the second bit. The dance Harry and hermonie shared was a bit awkward. July 2011 lets go!

Family / Re: Companionship Vs Procreation: Which Is A Stronger Reason For Marriage. by chika98: 9:56pm On Nov 27, 2010
You wey ask for "intelligent replies" ask yourself this.
Isn't marriage a thing of choice and doesn't it mean different things to different people?
So how then are we supposed to give you intelligent replies when our opinion on the issue varies greatly?
Anyone can marry for any reason they choose to. Doesn't make it "right" or "wrong" as long as the two
people involved share the same values and goals.

Does that sound like an "intelligent" reply to you?

Nigerians fear their pastors more than God!
I laugh out loud!

Oleku song is actually really nice. Jesse Jagz did great with that production

davidylan:

there, i fixed it for you.

It is definitely more than some. Let's be realistic here.
Even the crap we read here on NL and how people view marriage and all.

I remember a neighbor back that who will beat his wife all the time.
This time around she caught him with her sister red handed and the guy beat her so bad that she woke everyone up!

Men ran up there to see what was going on and they told him " Send her back to her parents if you don't want her anymore"
" She is someone else's daughter" and you can't believe what he said " Well she isn't owned by anyone so even if I kill her no one will miss her!"

Omo to dun( Sweet man it means right?) That is something else really! What does this say about men and their ways?
How are we in this generation going to be better if we continue to follow in their footsteps?

Men and all the atrocities they've done.

I hate morons with a religious passion as, in my view, they are the cause/instigators of majority of all the misunderstandings and troubles in the world between people. Through their generalisation, Us vs Them mentality, subjectivity, poor thinking, lack of understanding wider perspectives.

So for morons, I religiously say . . . .

The fanaticism in Africa doesn't help either. People fear their pastors more than God himself. Pathetic

Forum Games / Re: Worst Grammatical Errors, Got Any? by chika98: 12:16am On Sep 23, 2010
Their when they meant to say There
I swear I am not a grammar Nazi but I cringe whenever I see a supposed Educated man speak so poorly or write improperly
It pinches my skin so bad! Like what the hell!

I hate it when people write in text talk
I loathe it when folks are repetitious. I told a guy to go and take some English classes because he was just too horrible
and he even said his students did report him. How can you be a tutor and not write well?

Biggest pet peeve ever is when folks say "stuffs" What in the Ffing hell is that?
There is no S at the end of stuff. American never say Stuffs so why should you say it?
