Its 50/50 situation, he needs to be completely honest in all his future visa applications about the refusal stamp on his passport, when they asked in the form if he has been refused visa to any country before he should always tick yes and explain why.

yea justwise i feel u. he said he was given opporunity to withdraw his application or if he didnt that he will ban him, then he cancelled his visa and he was turn back. what remedy for him, because he is an engineer the immigration officer also insulted him and told he was lying about his certificate as an engineer, that he doesn't know how much he paid in nigeria to collect his certificate. and that my sister can invite him and he should prove that he is an engineer. what can be done?

the agent that filled his DS form made some minor mistakes like having no relative in the second entry but relative in the first entry. and that he was not registered for the event

like 10th of february and he was there 11th of february, they did a group registration but when checked with the organisers of the conference his name was not on their list but when he checked the unternet his name was there

Arik is fairly good there only attraction is the baggage allowance but if u have money try KLM, Virgin Atlantic or Air France but for KLM be ready to be thoroughly searched at Amsterdam but lovely flight. I have used them so am speaking out of experience.

I said it earlier, it is difficult to work in any American hospital as a medical dctor if you are Nigeria trained. They still want you to undergo their own training even if it is going to be for 2 years. And like I replied to your last post, it is difficult to get into medical schools nowadays if you don't have a green card. And getting a H-1B is just dependent on GOD and luck....it is "gettable".

Basically the way they look at it,is that u have little or no commitment to force you come back to Nigeria which must of the case most of us that get such opportunity do not come back to naija because America is a land of opportunity. Except u work with a known oil company, ur chances will be increased.

am afraid it will take the grace of God for you to be granted visa, sorry i dont mean to discourage u. but if u can get UK Visa first dat will improve ur chances

well, I've been in Nigeria for around 3 yrs and working with Telecommunication company as an Engineer. I'm just planning to visit US for vacation, only for 2-3 weeks.

Are u married with kids? If you are not it will only take the grace of God for the VO to grant you visa, except u have a good travel history or you schooled abroad or you have a rich background.

Thanks for all u contributions but the way it looks if i want to change my status from H1 or legalized PR then i will have to get another job which may not necessarily be in line with Med. or public health till i can qualify by taking board exams. though i have my mum's sisters who are citizens even my grand ma has a green card.
