Hello guys, I need help. We got a message from vfs that the passport is ready for pickup at their lagos office.
I initially paid for a one way courier for drop off. Can I go to DHL and pay for pick up? The reason I asking is because vfs said that to use their in-house courier services, we have to pay for each passport. We applied for family visa and paying for each passport will be expensive. Also, the DHL services is way cheaper than vfs in-house courier.
Also does anyone know if vfs refunds for in house courier services that was not used?

I have a GTB account and one of their staff told me to register for Virtual Prepaid card via GT Online banking, All you need is to request for a Token on your account and link it online before requesting for the card. The card can process like 3000$ limit for online transactions.

SAIT is a technology school so I don't know if that course can be qualified as a PGC.

please i need advice on how to go about modification of age on passport.
i have a friend that applied for passport last year with a wrong date-of birth, but want to change it to the real age now to process express entry.

the difference between the wrong age and the new age is like 6 years apart.
we have gone to immigration, but they advised us to comeback later when the passport has expired and that would be in 2022.
please what should we do?

Now my Question

I took IELTS academic Last Year and raised a bank draft of 10,000NGN in favor of British Council. It was supposed to be meant for sending my TRF from Nigeria to the Uni I was processing but I ended up not using it. The Draft was raised this year.

Now that I intend to take the IELTS General test, I'd like to know if I could just raise a 58,000NGN draft, add it to existing 10,000NGN Draft, for the exam registration?

I intend to take the exam come September 20 in Lagos

I have written ielts 7 times. My journey started since 2015. My Wes has been ready since then, but because of age and ielts, I have been falling short. I wrote ielts and got moderate score. I didn't know what was required then, since then, it has been a battle for me. My last 3 scores were 8,7.5,7,6... 7.5,7.5,7.5,7... 7.5,8,7,7..after the 6th one in June, I swore I was done with this dream. I had sunk so much money into this. I have gone to dubai to write celpip, went to dubai again for new brunswick info session, spent money 2ice on SINP and all to no avail. I was frustrated and devastated. July, I told my spouse to let me try ielts one more time. Even thou she didn't want to see me hurt again, she let me have my way. As for her she was done. She wanted the dream closed and buried. I don't blame her. So I paid and decided to change venue, this time I went to Ibadan, meaning I was spending more again. Then something changed. I prayed a lot about it. For catholics amongst us, please pray the prayers for exams to St Joseph of Cupertino. I went into the hall, did my best and left. I couldn't even beat my chest about my performance. I have been humbled by Ielts. But I kept on praying. I am not going to fail the 7th time. In between that time, a stranger in Lere2017 on this platform came into my life. She needed something from me. I actually wasn't in the mood to talk to her (reply her pm) but I did. We got talking and I told her my story. She was touched and she also truly prayed for me seriously. She will send me messages almost everyday telling me how much I was in her prayers and letting me know all is well. Yesterday midnight was the most awkward time of my life.. From 12 am till 7 am this morning, I was refreshing ielts website to check my result. The fear and panic was too intense. When I didn't see anything, I decided to go to their office to pick up my result.. That drive was filled with swallowing stone like saliva. On the bridge, I decided to refresh it again.. My result was there. My soul left my body and my eyes became blurry. I didn't know what I was reading but I knew I was reading.. L-9, R-8,S-8,W-7

I felt water swell up in my eyes. I understood what it is to look for something within your grasp and yet not have it. I am still basking in this euphoria so I can't real explain my ordeals. So please if you have it on a platter of gold, don't come here to rub it in on people that are going through a lot of even have a slice of what you have. For me the journey starts soon. scored 7.5 in listening in my first 3 attempt. all reading, writing and speaking were okay, but just listening.
but i got my breakthrough at my fourth attempt and got 8.5 in listening. i have gotten my ITA and waiting for PPR. have faith. all my four attempt were done this year.

Really angry and feeling devastated right now. July 8th exam result just came out and it was a mess up for me. LSRW-7.5,7,6.5,7.5. Feel so hurt and tired of the whole thing. Ain't doing dat exam again perhaps for now. Gotta take a break, Ontario might call while chilling being an IT person with 381 which is possibly hitting 390 after spouse's ECA or EE cut off just come down to 390 while I believe will happen someday from a personal study. pls i need advice. i received ITA on july 12. my passport will expire on feb 28 2018. the immigration office i went to has refused to renew my passport stating that i should come bank on august 28, when my passport has 6 months validity. please i need advice on what to do?. should i go ahead an apply with my passport or should i wait till august 28 to apply or possibly September when i will get the new passport?

they cannot give it to you.
you have to know a lecturer or someone in another dept. that will be the contact. i think UNN only send transcript to schools and institutions.

Let me know how it goes. I need to an ECA for a friend from UNN.

UNN is quite easy. FAX your certificate to WES then wait for them to update your profile on their website to waiting for verification from school. them log on to UNN itranscript and make payment. if you cannot pay online, generate the reference and go to a bank and pay. i used Union bank though for the payment. then give them like two weeks, they will respond to WES and your ECA would be ready.

go to any bank and pay across the counter. generate the reference online and walk into a bank and pay. the charge is 300 naira. i used union bank to make my own payment

WES sends email and regular snail mail to Unilag. Unilag responds to the email although, sometime, they'll claim that they haven't seen it. If you have a contact there or if you can afford to go to Exams and Records yourself, go there and follow up. They can send the response within a week if you follow up closely. WES is ok with an email response.

And one last thing, if you can personally follow up, you don't need to pay anyone. They'll check in your presence to confirm whether or not they've received it and tell you when they'll respond.

just relax. unilag will always respond once they receive the mail. you can call this number 07019914920, that is the number of the office that treats the email. but you do not need to bother yourself visiting or even calling give or take, within two weeks they would respond to WES.

I will advise you go to the school in person (Ground Floor Senate building first - to verify that your request was received and passed on...Then go to Room 164 to confirm it has been passed on to WES)
I did this twice before I got mine processed.

pls how long did you wait before the mail got to unilag. i am asking because WES sent me an email that they have contact the school since march 10, but i called the school yesterday, 20/03/2017 and they said that they have not received my mail.

Hmm let the school do it because like l said for verification they will contact the school and if the school says they did not send it to start with,the flag of integrity will be raised.

you can send your certificate to WES using zerofax which is absolutely free.
WES would contact your school for verification. in some schools, the verification is free while you have to pay little amount of money for some schools but it is lesser than the transcript fee.
