On getting to Airport, Egypt Air didn't allow him to board stating that his connecting flight is a cheap one. Madam I will chat you up on whatsapp. We need to rub minds. |

Hello my people, Pls is it possible for one to travel to Dubai, spend a night or two and then transit from DXB to Sydney without a transit visa. I know Nigerians don't need visa to enter Dubai but I don't know if a Nigerian that is on holiday in Dubai will be allowed to board a flight from Dubai to Australia. I'm thinking of buying one or two stuffs from Dubai in January. Also the fare going this way is relatively cheap compared to lifting from Nigeria. |

4peace4: The essence of this forum is that we share information and learn from other people's experience. Well the good thing is that I was in this dilemma months back, I felt I submitted enough documents until DIBP requested for more information. To answer your question; here are the things you need; 1.) Ensure your brother's company is a fully registered company with CAC documents. 2.) Ensure the CAC document shows your brother as the CEO/major shareholder and only signatory to the coporate account. 3.) Get an affidavit of sponsorship. Ensure your brother states his source of income on the affidavit. 4.) Show proof of relationship that he is your brother. Ensure you submit his original birth certificate and dat page of international passport. 2 Likes |

GODZY007: Nothing is wrong, just sit tight and hope for the best. Case officer has concluded on your application. The delay in getting the notification is from the department that handles outgoing mails. Kindly update us on the program you are going for, what you studied in your first degree and the school you applied to? |

noscarn91: I agree with you. I have even told my agent not to write to them again till next year. That is, if we don't read from them before the year ends. Well information gathered is that DIBP will close for the year on the 23rd of December which is exactly three weeks from today. |

Aniangi: Yes I used an agent. In August, we got a mail from them stating that the application is ready for finalization and that we should submit an updated COE and OSHC which we did. Sometime in September, we wrote to them and they replied stating that a decision cannot be given before 4 months to resumption. So we took "chill pills" and relaxed. Fast forward to earlier last month, we contacted them again and this time they only acknowledged the mail and stated that they have high volume of applications and that they will attend to the application. I intend to travel in February if granted visa but I need them to reach a decision on the application before the year ends. I cannot start 2018 in Limbo. I need to plan for 2018 in 2017. Traveling across continents for studies requires a great deal of preparation and time to settle in into the new environment. At this point, all I can say is thank you JESUS for everything I have. I cannot let a visa application bother me when GOD has done enough for me in 2017. 6 Likes |

noscarn91:Well it's not all about funds. A friend had a little above 2m and got his grant this same year. At that time, he was also unemployed. I guess he scaled through because he went for the same course (Petroleum engineering) he did in his undergrad. Although the tuition is very expensive A$86960, I believe the CO sees the economic importance of the course to the Nigerian economy and the career prospects available in Nigeria. This dude is also not married and a fresh graduate just like the one who got denied last week. Most of us here look for courses that can lead to PR forgetting that we need to justify to the CO's that we are temporary entrants. If a course can give you a job in Australia but has no employment prospect in Nigeria, it foils the claim that you are a GTE. 6 Likes |
