Politics / When Did Nairaland Start Banning People For Comments They Never Made? by cizy: 5:21pm On Mar 02, 2016
Dear Seun,

I'd have written to you and your moderators privately but judging from the fact that a couple of emails I've sent to you in the past were not met with reply neither was action taken, I decided to create a topic to table this issue. I have never created a topic to complain about me being banned but when such a ban is unwarranted, then thread creation becomes a must.

This is the very first time I'm experiencing such a thing. My main moniker "francizy" was banned, therefore; I checked to see the reason it was banned only for me to see the below text:

"a moderator banned francizy for "The devil has a religion. Islam. Every thing associated with it is evil. Nothing good ever comes out of it.convertion is by cohesion never by conviction. " Insulting a religion. violation of rule 2 . Ban expires at March 30, 2016"

I mean, can a moderator stoop this low just to ascribe a comment I never made to me and thus, have a reason to ban my moniker? I challenge the moderator that banned my moniker to show me an unaltered/unadulterated comment or evidence of me making this ridiculous, stupîd and razz statement. I've had to exchange words a couple of times on here and get banned, but never have I made such an inciting statement on here.

I'm writing to you to ensure that the very comment ascribed to me as a reason for my ban be taken off my screen because I never made such statement. If you want to ban me for any other reason, please feel free to but don't ascribe a comment I never made to me.

Thank you!

Politics / Re: The Noblezone Bags The Prestigious OMBN Award! by cizy: 1:42pm On Feb 08, 2016
noblezone:
News reaching us has it that the Noblezone has bagged the prestigious OMBN (Order of the Most Banned Nairalanders) award.

This award is for his efforts to see that free speech, human rights and responsible leadership principles are adhered to in Nigeria.

Speaking to Nairaland news men at the reception of the award, the Noblezone thanked the Lord of Almighty for Grace given to stand up against tyranny.
He thanked all the nairalanders who always recommend him to be banned and also acknowledged the "murder-itors" who see to it that he is banned at slightest excuse.

Recalling his last ban, he said he was reacting to the slaughter of about 30 People somewhere in the North by "Fulunai Herdsmen" and wondered what would have happened if these invasions are being carried out by South Easterners. He incurred the wrath of a "nurder-ritor", and was banned for two weeks for championing secession.

Asked if he would step it down, his face beamed with anger and he shouted at our reporter, "NEVER".
He looked around and asked, "how can i step it down when the Jihardists cum fulani herdsmen cum Boko Haram are still on rampage?"

"How can I step it down when Nigerian leaders are quiet as if nothing is happening?. People are invaded while they are sleeping. There houses are burnt, their men are murdered and their women raped and taken captive. How dare you as me to step it down?"

He took out his hanky and wiped his eyes as tears drop, then he said.
"I will step it up instead. Why are you all blind? Cant you see that Nigeria has nothing to offer us but dead bodies of our kith and kin? Why the hypocrisy? why the denials? Shall we all fold our hands, keep lips sealed and wait for death just for the sake of "ONE Nigeria?"

He called on all Nigerians especially Nairalanders to come up with suggestions on how to stop the menace of the Jihardist. Let us negotiate Nigeria now before it is too late. That is, if it is not late already".

"What if you are banned again" asked a reporter

He smiled and said,"I am already used to it".

Mr man stop embarrassing your parents. It is idiotic for a president to call his people criminals. Nigerians are not as criminally minded as Italians, Chinese, Indians, Lebanese and so many others.

Indeed , you can't teach tact. PMB is so uncouth. He's our chief diplomat, therefore he ought to project our image, not destroy it. So far, people like you are the reasons PMB may not succeed. Tell the man the truth when he's wrong.

Stop blind followership and stop diverting attention to ipob and wailers whenever PMB is criticized. He's human and fallible. We all are.

If Nigerians are criminals, so is he. After all, he still hasn't addressed the issues of the 53 suitcases, $2.8 billion, and of course the certificate. Quit pretending like he's a monk. He's Nigerian and also a criminal.

God bless you rishly bro. You are wiser, more reasonable and sensible than a million and one Buhari and millions of his blind followers.

Hahahahahahaha.. So it was the transformation that happened in S. Korea that made you believe Buhari when he said he will change Nigeria to heaven? I can see you're overly ambitious but let me be frank with you, Nigeria won't progress if we don't do things right. S. Korea must have done things right and are now reaping the rewards. On the other hand, Nigerians keep on doing the same thing and expect to see positive results.

For starters, tribalism and religious bigotry are our major problems. It's not just all about branding a group corrupt and kicking them out, it's also about looking beyond tribal affiliations (and padi padi) and picking the best hands that can move the country forward.

I've once read comments here from someone branding Innoson vehicles as Igbo products and can never be purchased by other tribes because of the hatred they have for Igbo. I was like "wow", did someone just utter this rubbish and got several likes? Are these the same set of people hoping for Nigeria to be better? Hoping for more jobs to be created? Is it safe to say that Nigerians are only comfortable when jobs are created by their tribesmen, so that they can boast about it (which apparently seems to be the norm on here)?

We have a long way to go..

Can someone show me exactly where the president called all Nigerians criminals? Are we so filled up with sentiments in this country that we can't separate the truth from plain manipulation! What the president was trying to say is simple. Nigerians should stop seeking asylum abroad because such privileges have been abused by their countrymen in the past due to drug trafficking and other criminal acts. Is this far from the truth? Especially in UK, Nigerians are increasingly filling up the prison system, I dare anybody to bring up facts that are contrarian! Perhaps we feel it's better to be politically correct than being honest but we all know with PMB he speaks from the heart.

Yes yes yes! He speaks from the heart so I wonder where the denied campaign promises came from, his anûs?

Don't mind the foolish APC agbayas. Imagine what he said;

“Nigeria cannot adequately account for the lives that had been lost simply because some pharmacists decided to adulterate drugs. We cannot quantify how many lives we have lost because of the danfo drivers that wake up in the morning to drink paraga before hitting the road. Most of the traffic bottleneck in Nigeria today is due to indiscipline,” he said.

And forgot to include this;

"we can't quantify how many people that were lost in 2011 as a result of the post election violence when his principal childishly decided not to conced defeat, thereby making the statement - if what happened in 2011 should repeat itself, dogs (SE) and baboons (SW) will be soaked in blood".

The senator is entitled to his opinion. The military with its intelligence apparatus are in a better position to tell Nigerians the truth about matters on the ground. From all indication bh cannot hold territory they are simply doing hit and run attacks. NA keeps inflicting one deadly body count after another BH. That's remains a truth the wailing zombies seek to distort.

That's a complete lie. There has been a virtual stalemate since March but Boko Haram has maintained control over a large swathe of Borno during that time. That is why they are often able to move in large numbers over great distances and mount attacks largely unperturbed.

Boko Haram illustrates the complete moral and intellectual bankruptcy of the Nigerian political class. Had GEJ tackled this menace earlier, it would not have gained such control. Of course, it didn't help that the likes of Buhari sought to gain political capital in the early days by claiming an attack on Boko Haram is tantamount to an attack on the North. Nigeria is a country run by idiotic traitors.

Am glad you called out both Buhari and Jonathan. I prefer Jonathan as a president to to Buhari but truth be told, he was too soft and tried listening to fools that never meant well for his government and Nigeria by extension. He allowed the cries of some useless elements and boko haram sympathizers to hinder his fight against insurgency. As much as i hate Obj, I know that Buhari and co would have never had the guts to utter trash during his administration and walk free. Also, OBJ wouldn't have listened to some disgruntled elements seeking sympathy for Boko haram.

I can boldly say that many people from that side supported boko haram and didn't fear to show it. They also covered the miscreants and allowed them integrate fully with the masses. All these happened during those periods bokos were bombing only churches, police stations and barracks. They started speaking out when it dawned on them that the menace was being felt beyond their expectations.

I still think that the removal of Ihejirika was GEJ's greatest undoing in the fight against insurgency.

Don't mind that headless zombie. His brothers up north are bombing innocent people and kill innocent Christians and other Muslims at the slightest provocation and he's here spewing trash. Senseless Nigerians that leave logs of wood in their eyes while looking for sticks to pick out of others.

With all the criminals in western countries, never seen their presidents speak ill of them like this headless dullard does. With all the slave trade, massacres, stealing of our natural resources, amalgamation, etc, that the Brits did to Nigeria and other countries because of their selfish interests, never seen their leaders spew trash about them or condemn those criminal activities. Yet our headless dullard will always find it easy to further bury the already battered image of this country. Same way, he talked loads of trash about Nigeria plagued with corruption and ill minded individuals, regardless of the fact that he's demarketing Nigeria to the outside world. Little wonder no new investors are coming into the country while many of them are leaving.

Same headless dullard said Abacha didn't steal any money even as hundreds of millions of dollars of Abacha's loot were being recovered till date. But then calls Nigerians criminals?

This 16 years line is quite old and overused. Are APC zombz programmed to always repeat one line continuously (especially when they have nothing to say) or they are just dumb?

OBJ, Amaechi, many of the northern governors, are still in PDP right? Aren't they either in APC or they've assumed a new saintly role of being tagged anti-corrupt?

We need to think before we post. Most disheartening is the fact that APC hasn't achieved anything meaningful ever since Buhari became president apart from the probe, left, right and center. Therefore the only threads we see APC zombs are the ones showing pictures of Buhari or ridiculous statements like the ones made by VP here.

They should kill them all? Even when it's obvious it wasn't the so called IPOB hijacked the ship?

This inciting comments you guys make on Nairaland trying to rope in the military into killing Igbo protesters, I hope the mods are seeing them because we might actually first read your 'Gone So Soon' on nairaland before any protester.

Don't mind them. This is how they've been spewing hatred and bitterness and then expect Nigeria to experience growth. People that should ordinarily spend time and use their energy in making positive impacts but will rather choose to expend their worthless energies on hate and genocidal speech. And close to a hundred more beasts liked their posts.

The moderators will all turn a blind eye to their comments regarding IPOB. Seun already outlawed IPOB on here, and as much as he doesn't want or allow people to preach IPOB, he should also ensure people are banned when they spew hate speech regarding IPOB protesters, especially these very extreme hate speeches.

You don't keep on maltreating and threatening to kill a group (especially unarmed groups protesting peacefully) of people and then expect them to love you. Even a child claimed to be stubborn should be shown love as much as the child is cautioned when they err.

As much as I love being a Nigerian, I can't turn my back on my people because they choose to secede. My allegiance lies with my people as much as it lies with Nigeria and thus, I expect as reasonable humans, we should try and settle these issues amicably rather than spitting hatred at any slightest opportunity. The more the injustice continues, especially killing of unarmed protesters, the more I begin to doubt this country ever turning out better.

As I earlier said, diplomacy is the key and if people think they can achieve peace by whipping out some group of people, then they better write it down or get it into their empty skulls that, it will only exacerbate the whole aggression and bloodshed as more people will begin to buy into the ideology.

Boko haram, especially during the happenings in Maiduguri, in 2009 and during Yar'Adua's administration, is a good example.
