A lot of people get married for all the wrong reasons you can think of or sometimes the marriage completely falls short of their expectations, eventually this sort people figure they've made the worst possible mistake of their lives at some point. One partty may however be willing to slug it out for the kids but the other party assumes an I don't care attitude.

The party kind with the most fault even refuses to go counselling or any kind of mediation, do you seriously expect the one who's suffering to just accommodate this behaviour and remain in this situation? Bear in mind too that once the problem escalates to this point, both are useless to their kids.

so it is when they are apart that they will be useful to their kids? without a doubt, you just made the most brilliant statement since this forum was established. i expect you to get a pulitzer for the comment you made above. keep it up. grin

And thank you Mr Cougar for live. . .sori late match report. Cheeew. Oshi o da.

silly move by Sagna, but to be honest at one point he had to break. And Zabaletta elbowed him in the contest, that is why he reacted. From what I saw tho.

But in other news, how do assemble a team so expensive and tell them to sit behind the ball. It is quite appaling. To bad we couldn't take our chances when we got them.

I really don't know where you are going with this. You don't even talk about counselling but divorce which is ugly and destructive act. It also does untold damage on the psyche of growing kids and can prevent them from fulfilling their potential .
Or you think its the same as boyfriend and girlfriend breaking up?

i am sure naijababe is just winding us up. why should any little quarrel lead to a divorce? divorce? where the husband can only see his kids with some moronic visits scheduled by some social care fools?

Trust me asunder is sometimes the best option even for the kids. Staying together at all costs at times damage children irreparably

divorce should be the last option. how are kids expected to be sound without a father figure in their lives. the two of them should sit down and talk to each other. the kids are the most important here, not the parents. the parents should lock each other in a room and punch till their knuckles fracture.

Thought WenGAY said the difference in buying a quality player over the sankwa ones at Arsenal now are just a few points?

I cant count how many points Hart has won them this season and Shay Given last season.

No one can win a trophy with Fabianski, Almunia or Sczceny

arsenal played at the emirates. the onus was on them to take the game to citeh. they huffed n puffed in the first half with nothing to show for it. in the second half, i was even more disappointed as arsenal didn't really change their plan a. they were still toying with the ball trying to play their triangles when it was obvious it wasn't working. fortune favours the brave. arsenal have lost thrice at the emirates this season - another draw is a bad result but they can take solace in the fact that they are a better team away from home.

Simple question - is Josh better than Wilshere? Answer on a postcard.

he is miles better than wilshere - wilshere has been allowed to express himself week in week out, josh hasn't. this time last season, mumus like you also said welbeck would never make it at arsenal. after few regular starts in sunderland, you have kept mute about his progress. wilshere is shyte.

duduspace:

In Cou-gar's demented mind he is, has everyone quickly forgotten Monsieur Gravel (the great black hope of Sauron) Morrison?
If I recall he was miles ahead of Wilshere according to Sauron.  grin grin

he is still miles ahead. wait for him to get regular starts in man utd before you judge. wilshere is ahead cos arsenal have no good players in their central midfielder. wilshere won't start ahead of scholes, anderson, carrick and fletcher - so why should we expect ravel morrison to get ahead of them? cesc will even struggle to make man utd's first team let alone wilshere.

duduspace:

Na yu dey help am mint money for him house? resources can only be ever unlimited in your warped econonmic logic abi yu dey related to Idi-Amin?

you are a valuable tool. grin abrahamovic spent $1.2 billion on a yacht and you are asking if i mint money for him. his yacht will buy 2 arsenal football clubs with some change enough to buy 11 decent players. not to talk of the helicopters that land on his yacht and other properties.

Naa, its you thats coked to yur eyeballs and unable to grasp simple concepts or in this instance unable to interprete them effectively. The points you mention completely validates my stand on Roman and his prior expenditure on Chelsea.

stop making your own argument. if roman wants to spend, he will. he designed his outlay according to what his football directors told him in 2003. peter kenyon said in 5 years, chelsea will be a global brand like man utd - which means roman won't need to spend anymore on chelsea cos the club would be self-sufficient by 2008 - a miscalculation! if you think roman is suddenly broke like you are then you must have saw-dust in your brain.

Stop typing yur posts while perched precariously on your toilet seat with a sandwich in yur hand. History also tells us Manure won the Carling cup last season, are they going to win it this season? NO

you are an indolent sheep. so carling cup is the measure of strength of the same man utd side that are unbeaten in the league currently? i now know why dayokanu feels your intelligence quotient is the same as that of a butterfly. grin

You do keep going on about that chiildhood sweethearts. When there is genuine love and understanding then I think tthet such marriages very very rarely end up as the ugly stories we have been reading about here, So it is hogwash to even link this to the cases of a Nigerian man going over to Nigeria to import a stranger bride.
That is what we are discussing here. Basically the guy continuing to act as a bully and a tyrant to his bride when she is in the West.

is it actually possible for any man to fly to nigeria and bring a strange bride to his home in america? i find this hard to believe. no man is that daft to bring an unknown entity into his house because she wants to be a nurse. there's a certain degree of pretence involved here. these women are cool and down with whatever in nigeria but immediately change their spots once they reach new york.

Then there is of course the messy issue of guys with childhood sweethearts in Nigeria but who get married to oyibo women strictly for the greencard or ILR

that's another story.

How can starting for Arsenal be a landmark achievement? The same Arsenal that Adebayor, Diaby, Eboue, Senderos, Djourou, Kolscieny even Squilacci started for?

How may years ago did Clichy start for Arsenal? How old was he then? And at no point in his career can he be said to be close to average never mind decent.

Arsenal aside from lacking ambitions have hopeless and poor elderly players thats why the children start. How many clubs would give the Captainship to a 21yr old?

if Toni Kroos moved to Arsenal in 2008, We can be rest assured he would be captain by now never mind Thomas Muller who would have been made captain/coach because his football talent dwarfs anyone who has ever worn the Arsenal Jersey in the last 100yrs

but mumuface thinks once a player gets a start for arsenal then he is miles better than his peers elsewhere without critically thinking youngsters in other clubs might have more senior players ahead of them limiting their appearances than a shyte club like arsenal where a 21 yr old was made a captain. cesc fabregas played more than 100 games as a teenager for arsenal. the same cesc would be lucky to play 20 as a teenager in big teams like real madrid, barcelona or man utd.

This is my real beef with some Nigerian-American girls. If I want a westernized woman, I'll just stick with the african-american or white chicks  undecided
With that said, not all of them are like this. Just a lot of 'em  undecided

some men actually left their sweethearts in nigeria when travelling with the promise of coming back to get them when they settle abroad. if they don't come back to their sweeties, they are in trouble cos of the broken promises. if they come back to get them as vowed, the chics turn on them and make their lives miserable. i ask again - what should a man do?

buzugee:

bollocks. the cases of childhood sweethearts are extremely negligible and those one always work out. most of the cases are these grown men going home to scout for women they have not met in their lives.

it's not negligible. they are in the larger percentage. most of these men came abroad for their masters degree or hmsp/work permit ish. they left girlfriends in nigeria with the promise of coming back to marry them.

tensor777:

Good question. If he wants to stay in the West then he should simply look for a bride brought up in the West. In that wise both parties would know what to expect from each other.

good point. what if he already had a chic in nigeria before travelling abroad. someone he loves wholeheartedly - he should neglect n let her rot in nigeria?

As for tradition and all that I feel that is neither here nor there in this scenario. It is primarily about power and control within the home. Anyway there is no human reason why a village bride would not embrace such power when she comes over to the West. Who even says that such women were not power hungry themselves even whilst in the village?

this is hardly the point. the question here is. . . . should a man neglect his girlfriend of many years because he is now abroad?

How come these killings hardly happen to "non-imported" wives?

I agree with Buzugee here. Most men who go home to marry have a deep seated problem of wanting to Lord over their woman. Who else but a village girl would take all their crap. There are numerous Naija girls in US and UK looking for husband, marry one of them. They wont because they would say Naija girls in US "don tear eye" just because she wont take your bullcrap

you are jumping into conclusion so fast here. many of these men had these babes as spouses before the men left nigeria. they were in a relationship and i see nothing wrong with a man going back home to take his fiancee abroad and marry. 90% of these cases are long term relationships so i cannot blame the men for the wrong doings of the naija women.

This doesnt affect village girls alone, Even a average Lagos girl would jump at an opportunity to marry the guy from abroad, Who comes home every xmas to oppress with the money he has saved all year.
I know several guys who save hard all year and take the money home on xmas. See how girls would flock around them like ants on Sugar.

so what should a man do? marry abroad or marry a girl based in nigeria? the women here have their issues. they have been "westernized". they have lost touch with the african tradition and they want to be whiter than the white women. the ones in nigeria on the other hand cannot be trusted to maintain the same behaviour once they get abroad.

Go to any bar in FESTAC or Ajao estate and See when the Obodo Oyinbo guys come from Germany and Belgium. Dem dey oppress die. Na only politicians and yahoo guys fit rival them

u remember the response 9ice gave him on the phone convo?
so if i sing any song, i av the make a press conference to explain it?

that is because 9ice doesn't appreciate the relationship between ruggedman and rugged's fans. if he sings any controversial song like the 'once bitten twice shy' then he should own up and explain to the fans what he meant in his song. we are in the information age not the days of barrister and osita osadebe.
