kokoye:

Ladies,

If you are indeed waiting and looking for that man, it may be advisable to stop hanging out with your girlfriends (married or single) ALL the time. The problem is not always your academic achievements, your beauty, height or religion, though they may also play a big part of it.

It is not always easy for that man to come fish out of your crew . . in actual fact, he might not even see you since you are in a crowd. Yea, some may blame it on lack of confidence, but really, you also need to try and make things easy for the men as well especially if you are also looking. You know how girlfriends clown when a man comes to pick out just one within their group.

Some of those girlfriends may actually not be looking out for your best interests, so they smoothly chase eligible men from you. They talk nasty about you behind you. I said some, not all.

I aint saying not to have friends but please make yourself available and reachable to that man that has been destined for you. Sit alone at times and get interested in a few male sports / games. Start up intelligent conversations and talk about those foods that you really know how to cook wink

Just my two cents.

Good luck and God bless.

this has been going on for ages. women do envy each other and it's been like that since rachel and leah.

That's why I said you should watch your own footie and do your own analysis . . . saying Song is a bad DMF is just wrong on every level.
Even that report didn't criticise his ability as a DMF if you read properly.

it did. especially the emboldened area. those counter-attacks arsenal are vulnerable to are as a result of alex song not protecting his defence. if you want to know how song should be playing, watch sergio busquets. when alves and abidal overlap to join the attack, busquets immediately drops in between pique and puyol as a 3-man defence. that is where song should be playing - especially in games where arsenal are leading comfortably with few mins to go. instead, you still see song bombing forward and leaving his defence exposed to quick counter-attacks and bang, the opponents level with arsenal via another smart counter-attacking move!

after listening to this album of m.i. several times, i realized it's just hype and no substance. the post-production crew should be sent to iraq for some sharia punishment. the album didn't score with me. granted, m.i showed his power of lyricism but the track lay-out was rubbish. whoever arranged the tracks screwed up. too many unnecessary skits and fillers. m.i. ends several tracks with unnecessary rants and he goes "you wanna dance with the devil, then let's go". under normal circumstances, the next track should start with a banging beat to keep the listener on the edge but what did m.i. give us? . . .another boring instrumental that takes another 20 secs before the beat bangs. it's a disgrace - m.i. should know better. as far as i am concerned, mode-9's 'da vinci mode' was more entertaining. the whole m.i. and waje drama just ruined everything - if m.i. shouldn't have bothered deceiving us he was doing something phat - he should have just done another trapped in the closet version 2.0 like r.kelly.

evra yet again?

Patrice Evra insists his pre-match attack on Arsenal was justified since Manchester United beat the Gunners on Monday night.

French defender Evra labelled the north Londoners 'an academy team' and 'a load of rubbish' for failing to win a trophy since the 2005 FA Cup.

Arsene Wenger's side led the Barclays Premier League before their trip to Old Trafford but surrendered top spot after Park Ji-sung scored the only goal of the game.

'I think we confirmed what I'd said before the match. I think Arsenal played really well, you shouldn't neglect that, but we were better. I really say that without any arrogance,' said Evra.

'I heard people saying that what I said was below the belt, but that wasn't my intention. I just wanted to show how much I believe in my team, in their potential and strength.

'We know Arsenal and we know that if you don't let them breathe - which is what the coach said before the match - then it becomes hard for them, especially at Old Trafford.

'United always show up for the big games. Arsenal enjoyed a lot of possession but only had one chance.

'I think our victory was really deserved, it didn't boil down to small details. But people will have a go at me again for saying what I think.'

it seems evra has a personal beef with some french players in arsenal. it's getting too much paddy! do your business on the pitch.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/542440-arsenal-faults-alex-song-and-gael-clichy-are-liabilities

alex song and gael clichy are liabilities

"I want to add more goals to my game" he said. He wanted to get forward more; he wanted to get involved in the final third. But which Arsenal player was it that said this? Fabregas? Wilshere? The ambitions and dreams came from a young, now platinum blond Cameroonian defensive midfielder Alex Song.

Already this season he's gotten as many goals for Arsenal as he had during his previous five seasons at the club. His assist for Samir Nasri against Partizan Belgrade showed quick feet in tight spaces, particularly in the final third.

But what was most telling about his contribution that night was how much space Partizan midfielder Cleo was allowed to have, as a defensively gracious Squillaci allowed a 25 yard goal to put fright into onlooking fans for the next half hour.

This presents an interesting playing dilemma. For a club whose attacking prowess is dictated by the free movement of attack minded players, is there a problem with his more proactive intent? Sergio Busquets, a player who has improved immeasurably in his first two seasons with Barcelona, still manages to make inroads in the opposition's box. Not all defensive midfielders need to approach the game with a John Obi Mikel approach of tactical solidity or a Claude Makelele all-tackling approach.

But the connection between defensive midfielders, the overarching spirit of the role that makes it such a key position in the modern game is self sacrifice. The reason that such midfielders are taken for granted or under appreciated is that they are essentially meant to be boring.

In a three man midfield system in particular, the holding player takes the ball from defenders and plays simple passes. Even the tackling aspect of the role becomes secondary if the team has enough possession; tackling only needs to be done on a counter attack or when a mistake has been committed in the team's half. Over complicating the position with forward passes threatens to lose the team possession and in dangerous areas.

Alex Song's problem this season is that his passing and forward runs have put Arsenal under huge pressure. Instead of playing easy passes sideways and back to keep possession, he often plays higher up the pitch and attempts through balls to the forwards, which are often crowded out by opposing players. It's noticeable that when teams counterattack against Arsenal, there is a massive gap between midfield and defense. Although Arsenal's defenders lack strength and height, they are very often overexposed by Song's lack of positional discipline.

Clearly a talented player, Song needs to play deeper, almost in a sweeper position as Busquets does for Barcelona, which will allow the fullbacks to push forward and wide. He plays a similar position for Cameroon, and although he has stated that he doesn't enjoy that position, it's the role he looks most comfortable in.

An Arsenal player that is looking less and less likely to improve, however, is Gael Clichy. Once considered an apt understudy to Ashley Cole, Clichy is proving game after game that he is deeply defensively suspect. In the 3-1 loss last season against Manchester United, it was clear that Edwin Van Der Sar was given instructions to distribute the ball in Clichy's direction. It was understood that Clichy was the weak point, and Nani was subsequently successful at almost every attack launched down the right.

It's clear that Clichy is very positive going forward. His speed is a wonderful asset and he is Arsenal's best crosser of the ball. However, it seems that either Arsenal are too used to attacking down the right or are otherwise unwilling to move the ball left for Clichy to run onto. They often prefer Sagna, who has all the traits of a great right back except consistent crossing. Cesc Fabgras' over reliance on his right foot, often giving shallow passes to the left, doesn't help to use Clichy as an attacking outlet. But the left-back's lack of physicality is often exposed, and combined with a fairly questionable tactic of standing off opponents until they can get a cross off, making him a dangerous liability waiting to be taken advantage of.

Alex Song's issues can be remedied with time, experience and discipline. Gael Clichy, however, has long since looked a confident and dominant player. As long as both remain problematic, Arsenal will be undone against larger teams.

Nothing technical in this. A big game is a big game irrespective of the geographical placements of the teams. In this present EPL, Man Citey are a big team and any fixture between Citey and the other top teams would be a big game.

city vs bolton is a big game? grin are you aware chelsea vs millwall or qpr is a bigger game than city vs arsenal? man utd vs leeds is a bigger game than man utd vs tottenham.

Damage control

that's the spirit. having nasri and cesc in the same match is luxury. having arshavin and diaby in the same match is also luxury. play a wing back ahead of a wing back so they can both track pedro and david villa. song n diaby must track messi wherever he goes. let fabregas n van persie do the attack by themselves(they need no help). whether they score or not is immaterial. if arsenal don't concede, barca won't win.

i think starboard is technically correct. city vs arsenal is not a big game. however, it's a big game for us because it's a derby but it's not the same for arsenal and city. the big games in the england are the fixtures in the traditional big four i.e. arsenal, chelsea, man utd and liverpool. regardless of which positions these teams are on the table, the games they play one another are big games. tottenham vs arsenal is a big game because it's a derby not because of the calibre of tottenham. likewise city vs arsenal. another example, birmingham vs villa is a huge game because it's a derby, not because of the calibre of players on show.

Do you have a Fergie or JM ready to sign as Arsenal manager? If, not throw this silly and pointless debate aside.

The real issue is to give JM and Fergie a near negative transfer budget for 4 seasons and tell me how many trophies they’d have won.

The data does not lie - the biggest spenders at the top continue to win trophies.

this is not the real picture. fergie is not manufacturing funds from the sand. he has been astute with how he sells the players he doesn't want any longer. for instance, mikel obi that never played for him was sold for 16 million to chelksi, a deadwood ben foster went for 6 mil, tosic went for 7 mil(same amount he paid for hernandez) and so on and forth. fergie is smart. he deliberately gives the reserve players loads of champions league minutes to increase their value in the transfer market and that is the key. without a doubt, fergie would have won a title in wenger's shoes and jose mourinho would be playing his strongest xi in the carling cup games all these years to have secured the title.
