Religion / Re: The Sin Against Holyspirit by dammy4u: 8:57pm On Jun 03, 2008
The sin against the Holy Spirit is no other than rejecting the sonship and saviourship of Jesus Christ . It is the Holy Spirit that establishes in a man's heart that Jesus is the saviour of mankind from sin and consequences of sin. But if after a man is convicted of his sin and made to know that God sent His Son into the world to save sinners he continues to reject/neglet so great a salvation that came from God and continue in sin until his conscience becomes dead that it can no longer respond to the touch and urge of the Holy Spirt, such a one has comitted a sin against the Holy Spirit having by his own hand shut the door of salvaltion against his own soul.
We should however note that there is no sin that is genuinely confess that God will not forgive because it is written "whosoever covers his sin shall not prosper but whosoever confesses and forsakes his sins shall have mercy."
Religion / Re: Don't Replace The Word "A.L.L.A.H" With God, They Are Not The Same by dammy4u: 8:03pm On May 16, 2008
It is apparently clear that Christians and Muslims do not serve the same God because:
(1) Both the Old and the New Testament part of the Bible confirm that christians and Jews serve the same God: God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
(2) There is no way the God of the Bible-the GOD that both christians and the Jews call their GOD, could have ordered Mohammed and his followers to force, fight and kill the Jews and the christians to make them believe him(God of the Bible) since they already believe and worship Him even before Mohammed was born.
The fact that ALLAH instructed Mohammed and his followers to force, fight and kill the Jews and christians to make them believe in him(ALLAH) is a clear indication taht ALLAH,THE GOD OF ISLAM,is not the same as the God (The GOD of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob) that the christians serve.
Let the muslims look up the following from Koran and Hadith concerning quotations that instucted the Muslims to kill the Jews and christians:

KORAN: Chapter 2;190-193;2:216-217;2:244-245;4:74-77;4:95-96;5:51;5:72-73;8:12-15;8;37-39;9:5;9:14;9:20,29,41,73,123; 22:38-39; 25:52; 47:4; 48:29; 60:4 :61:9-11; 66:9.

HADITH: 1:13,24,25; 19:4294 ; 1:35; 9:4,50,57.

From all the above quotations from both Koran and Hadith, which the Muslims regard as holy books, it is evidently clear that ALLAH instructed the Muslims to force, fight and kill The Jews and christians to make the them believe in him(the god of Islam).
The worship of creature(stars, moon e.t.c) is also another clear indication that ALLAH is not the same as the GOD OF THE BIBLE because the God of the Bible clearly instructed both the Jews and christians not to worship any created things, not even the holy angels.

Let every Muslim, who desires to know the truth visit the following sites:

I also recommend the above sites to all sincere seekers of truth.
GOOD DAY.
Religion / Re: The truth your pastor would not tell you about tithes by dammy4u: 4:39pm On May 10, 2008
One man believes has conviction that the payment of tithes is mandatory while another man is having his own conviction that it is not.
This to me is not enough reason to be confronting one another with malicious words in a forum like this.
The TRUTH of the matter is sipmly that the LAW OF TITHING does not apply to XTIANITY. However, if any xtian chooses to be paying 10% of his income to God via church/pastor, he will surely reap God's blessings for so doing.
People should also note that Matthew 23:23 earlier on referred to by some people in this forum, which they also interpreted to mean that Jesus "commended the Pharisees for paying tithes and rebuked them for omitting or failing to do the weightier matter of the law" was as at the period the law was still in operation. Jesus, therefore, would not object in anyway the payment of tithes or tell people to stop paying tithes because the people then were still operating under the OLD TESTAMENT and it is also a form of giving to God/men.
THE NEW TESTAMENT/CHRISTIANITY began after the death of Jesus Christ- our Testator- on the cross. Then the law and the curses of the law ceased to operate beacuse we now have the fulfilment of the law in JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF.

BELOW IS MY SUBMISSION ABOUT THIS TOPIC:

* The leaders of the early church ( born after the death of Jesus Christ, pricesely on the day of penticost in the Acts of Apostles) never at any time placed/read curses on believers for not paying tithes but ENCOURAGED BELIEVERS TO GIVE GENEROUSLY TO GOD & GOD'S PEOPLE without compulsion but out of a willing heart because they new that the more you give, whether 5%,10%,15%,20% , , the more you recieve God's blessing: ", he who sows sparingly, shall reap sparingly, he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully, "
Therefore, let all our fathers in the Lord,pastors/church leaders, stop pronouncing/reading curses to the congregation of God's people on the issue of tithing but rather encourage believers to give generously ang cheerfully " , for God loves a cheerful giver."
* Let those who have been faithful/regular payer of tithes keep it up while seeing this practice as a devotion/service/worship to God rather than something they must observed by compulsion if they are to evade the curse attached to it by the law.
* Let those who have been hiding under the umbrella of the saying that "xtians are not mandated to pay tithes" and as a result are being stingy as in not fulfilling their financial obligations to their pastors/church, go and pray that God should forgive them for such attitude of ingratitude to God & men.
* Let everyone go and learn to give generously, cheerfully( not because of curses), and bountifully to God's works, pastors, orphans, widows, and the needy. They will surely reap bountifully. ", he that sows sraringly shall reap sraringly, and he that sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully."
* Let every xtian learn to read GOD'S WORD without PUTTING ON RELIGIOUS GOGGLE: Read the Bible with an open mind and stop reading to criticise/judge other xtians because we are not called to criticise/judge one another.
Thanks.
Religion / Re: Testimonies of Victory over Trials and Tribulations of Life by dammy4u: 1:58pm On May 10, 2008
Trials and tribulations of life come in different ways. But what xtians of today should bear in mind is that God is not the ogiginator of trials and tribulations that we do face. However, God allows (He is not the one bringing them) trials and tribulations atimes on our ways to try us and makes us grow in faith and trust in God. God also uses whatever trials we have to work for our good.
To be victorious over trials and tribulations, xtians should give themselves to praising the Lord and joy in the Holy Ghost rather than bein dejected.
NOTE: Praising the Lord mentioned above does not connotes that we should thank God for bringing trials and tribulations on our ways( God does not tempt with evil) but we should thank Him for the fact that He will make such trials to work for our good ", for we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to them that are called according to His good purpose."
There is this popular song among xtians that says " ,  nomatter what I face, when (success )comes my way, I will praise the Lord."   The original version of this song reads " ,  nomatter what I face, when (trouble)comes my way, I will praise the Lord". We should no that it doesn't really makes sense to God to sing/say that ", nomatter what I face, when success comes my way, I will praise the Lord." Because even unbelievers too praise God/god when success comes their way. But it is only those who are able to still praise God while passing through hard times that are trully Xtians.
Today you see many people bouncing and praising the Lord in churches as if they are all angels, but let a slit trial comes the ways, they soon shift their ground and turn their back on God. Is this xtianity? Or, is this the kind of xtianity that the early church practiced?
Let every xtian examines himself/herself to know whether is genuine/fake.
