Sports / Fomer Aston Villa And Germany Midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger Reveals He Is Gay by darkroll(m): 2:34am On Jan 09, 2014
source:http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/10558227/Thomas-Hitzlsperger-reveals-he-is-gay.html

Former Aston Villa, West Ham and Everton midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger has announced he is gay, saying “I’ve never been ashamed of the way I am”.

The 31-year-old German, who won 52 caps for his country, made the announcement in Germany’s Die Zeit. newspaper on Wednesday.
He said: “I’m coming out about my homosexuality because I want to move the discussion about homosexuality among professional sportspeople forwards.”

“I’ve never been ashamed of the way I am,” he added.

Hitzlsperger also admitted that it has not always been easy living with some of the comments made on the subject, he said: “Just picture 20 men sat around a table together drinking.

“You’ve just got to let the majority be, just as long as the jokes are halfway funny and the talk about homosexuality doesn’t get too insulting. In England, Germany or Italy, homosexuality is not taken seriously as an issue, at least not in the dressing room.”

Hitzlsperger retired from the sport in September 2013 at the age of 31 after a series of injury problems.

He joined Aston Villa as a teenager in 2000 from Bayern Munich and went on to play for Stuttgart, Lazio, West Ham and Wolfsburg, with a short stint at Everton before the end of his career.

Hitzlsperger also enjoyed a successful international career, making his first senior international bow in 2004.

He represented Germany at the 2006 World Cup – though he only played 11 minutes of that competition – and the 2008 European Championship, where he started in the quarter-final, semi-final and final.

High-profile athletes from other sports have openly discussed their sexuality in recent years, with Olympic diver Tom Daley revealing in December he was in a relationship with a man.

But Hitzlsperger is only the fourth footballer to do so publicly.

There are currently no known openly gay footballers in the English and Scottish professional leagues.

Former Leeds and US winger Robbie Rogers came out as gay and quit English football in February 2013.

He later reversed his decision to quit the game and signed for LA Galaxy – but as of yet Rogers has no plans to return to the English league.

Before Rogers’ revelation, only two footballers had publicly said they were gay.

Justin Fashanu was the first professional footballer in Britain to come out, in 1990, before he took his own life eight years later, aged 37.

Swedish lower league player Anton Hysen – son of former Liverpool defender Glenn Hysen – came out in an interview with a Swedish football magazine in 2011.

Always amaze me how people judge what they dont understand . Seems like a lot of you will rather choose to harbour corruption , murder , theft , bad government but you ready to slay someone else sexual orientation cause it differs from yours .

What are you saying?

What are you reading ?. do your own math
Religion / Re: Letter From Charly Boy To Pope Francis by darkroll(m): 12:01am On Aug 03, 2013
Most Christian's always plays this card " God created adam and eve and not adam and adam or God created man and woman and not man and man " think for your self for once and look at things from a diffrent perspective , the same bible said that God created Eve from Adam's rib. Does that mean that Eve is a transgender/transexual since they both have same genetics? or Adam is married to his female clone .

From my own point of view and reasoning , Religion is the biggest scam ever sold to mankind .

porka:

I know this because rituals are being prepared now to cleanse the land by the elders concern.

It's considered an evil omen.

Plus, the commercial aspect of it is bad business.

You know what I mean?

No wonder the country is so stucked and bleeped up the way it is now.... someone wrote above " you don't want the land to be polluted " sorry to burst your bubble , the land is over populated already . GAY is the least of your issues. Religion dictate your way thinking and where as that lead you guys " corruption , fraud , lies ... the list goes on . A country where there is more church than schools. Do the math.

Just wanna share dis with you guys ,  cause i find it bizzare

candidate A . original CAS , fake school certificate , fake bank statement ,  he applied for a uk visa 5years ago with date of birth 1970 and was refused due to insufficient funds  , he got a new passport with same name but new date of birth 1975 and he stated in his application that he applied before and was refused but he lost his old passport . To my greatest shock he was granted a student visa yesterday

Candidate B: ( My cousin ).All documents original but was refused due to no strong relationship between him and his sponsor

I kinda wonder if some of dis ECOs keep records of applicants before the bio metric thingy started ( they should have detected that Candidate A as applied before with a fake D.O.B)

Here is a link to d only university in seychelles www.suf.sc , A beautiful island but the prices are up d roof .(expensive ) if u not a beach person then be ready for boredom. 7pm in Mahe (The capital) seychelles is like midnight.

The standard of education is pretty good but no chances of getting a part time job but there is 99% chance of getting a job in seychelles after your studies plus the pay is good. The only downs about Studying in Seychelles are :
Expensive
It is a beach life not a city life .

First match for Nigeria will be in Ellis park , I advise you make your accommodation /hotel bookings thru a travel agent , most of the accommodations and flight have been booked by agencies and they sell at higher rate . if you go on fifa website and follow the 2010 world cup link you will see a list of travel agencies you can contact.

We should move on and correct our mistakes if we can instead some u guys kept arguing if european is really white and he does not write english like britons. Common guys wake up and move .

British english or not , he is on cheap drugs or not, he is simply saying the truth.
