ew weeks ago, I was at the local airport and as I waited in the departure lounge, I noticed there were many children roaming about but it was understandable since it was summer holiday. One other thing I noticed was the way most of the children were dressed. Most of them, especially the girls, were dressed in bum shorts, halter necks, cut off jeans, etc. The clothes in themselves weren't the issue per se; it was the overall look of the children that had me bothered. That was definitely not the first time I noticed it. A few months before, I had taken my kids to a birthday party and found myself in what could easily have been a night club for kids. Scanty clothing such as tight or very short clothes, bum shorts, long weaves, etc, seemed to be the dress code. I noticed my son glancing around, probably wondering, "What in God's world are these other children wearing?" Or something like that. Not long after, the kids were called out to dance to the hit songs of the season - these songs in my opinion should be rated PG 16. 4 - 6 year olds trooped to the dance floor, miming the sexually explicit songs and gyrating their bodies in the most sensual manner. They could have given Beyonce a run for her money. They ran their hands over their bodies, shook their booties hard while their parents cheered them on. The boys had their upper shirts unbuttoned and rapped along perfectly to gangsta raps while doing flawless break dance. Those who danced like actual children where shooed off the dance floor while the lewd ones were cheered on. As I watched, my child stared out of this circle looking longingly at the others dancing. I knew it was time to leave. As we left, we went to an eatery where I bought them ice cream and gently explained to them the concept of decency and dancing with decorum. Another time, at a game arcade for kids, I ran into a lady who had made-up her kids' faces like they were mannequins for Tara or Mac beauty products. Their skirts were so tight, that running up and down the slide was uncomfortable for them. So the question is, why are we sexualizing our kids? Why does your 4, 6 or 9 year old girl have to look like a chick? Why does she have to be hot or sexy? Should your 8 year old son go around with a comb in his hair and his pants sagged almost to his ankles? If your child wears bum shorts out of the house at age 3, why should she be expected to wear longer ones at 15? If she wears 2 rings and 12 bangles at 6, why won't she pierce a second ear hole at 17 and her bellybutton at 19? Why won't your son pierce his own ear at 15? Are you setting your children up to be immodest and indecent? What trend are you starting them on? That all these are fashionable or trendy doesn't mean it's ok. What happened to children wearing dresses. Children can look very nice and decent, they can be well covered and still look good. In this age, when children are being abused. Is it wise to make your child an object of anyone's sexual attention? When I hear some children belt out sexually explicit lyrics, I ask myself how they became exposed to this songs! As a parent, you can't play the CD of such songs and not expect your children to pick them up; the same goes for watching Mtv Base, Channel O, etc with your children. Studies have shown that children exposed to a high level of sexually explicit information tend to become sexually active early. Is that your goal as a parent? Being a parent involves sacrifice. You will need to avoid listening to such music where your children are. Most of those lyrics demean women and teach your daughter that she's just a intimacy gadget and her body is for squeezing. It teaches the boys that money is everything and women are things to be used to satisfy their primal urges. These music introduces them to a degrading pop culture. Our children have their lives ahead of them, let's set them on the right path by teaching them to dress decently and sing nice or age-appropriate songs. Let your children be children. 45 Likes 11 Shares |

So inspiring!!!, I graduated 6 years ago and gladly got employed at the organization that I did my NYSC, as a student of Business Administration, I studied the environment and the working conditions which was highly insecured, jobwise. I decided to look for failsafe alternatives. I was listening to a radio program when I heard the economic opportunity that abounds in Moringa Oleifera farming business. I decided to give it a go. I immediately obtained a land, organized labor and purchased seeds for the cultivation, the seeds have been sown since last year and the trees have started growing very well. However, due to the demanding nature of my job, the project was not giving the appropriate attention it deserves in terms of sales & marketing whole effort was focused on farm management. To cut the long story short in May this year the company decided on our appointments due to redundancy exercise it was conducting. Now my focus is on how can I make the best of my investment especially with the situation staring at me in the face. Find attached pictures of the farm as at last month. Your sincere advise will be appreciated.thank you.

MrPresident: 1. Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;- 2. He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;- 3. He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of ((Allah)) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 4. Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. 5. And we have, (from of old), adorned the lowest heaven with Lamps, and We have made such (Lamps) (as) missiles to drive away the Evil Ones, and have prepared for them the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. 6. For those who reject their Lord (and Cherisher) is the Penalty of Hell: and evil is (such), Destination. 7. When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath even as it blazes forth, 8. Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" 9. They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, '(Allah) never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 10. They will further say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we should not (now) be among the Companions of the Blazing Fire!" 11. They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire! 12. As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. 13. And whether ye hide your word or publish it, He certainly has (full) knowledge, of the secrets of (all) hearts. 14. Should He not know,- He that created? and He is the One that understands the finest mysteries (and) is well-acquainted (with them). 15. It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection. 16. Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)? 17. Or do ye feel secure that He Who is in Heaven will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones), so that ye shall know how (terrible) was My warning? 18. But indeed men before them rejected (My warning): then how (terrible) was My rejection (of them)? 19. Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except ((Allah)) Most Gracious: Truly ((Allah)) Most Gracious: Truly it is He that watches over all things. 20. Nay, who is there that can help you, (even as) an army, besides ((Allah)) Most Merciful? In nothing but delusion are the Unbelievers. 21. Or who is there that can provide you with Sustenance if He were to withhold His provision? Nay, they obstinately persist in insolent impiety and flight (from the Truth). 22. Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way? 23. Say: "It is He Who has created you (and made you grow), and made for you the faculties of hearing, seeing, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give. 24. Say: "It is He Who has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered together." 25. They ask: When will this promise be (fulfilled)? - If ye are telling the truth. 26. Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public." 27. At length, when they see it close at hand, grieved will be the faces of the Unbelievers, and it will be said (to them): "This is (the promise fulfilled), which ye were calling for!" 28. Say: "See ye?- If Allah were to destroy me, and those with me, or if He bestows His Mercy on us,- yet who can deliver the Unbelievers from a grievous Penalty?" 29. Say: "He is ((Allah)) Most Gracious: We have believed in Him, and on Him have we put our trust: So, soon will ye know which (of us) it is that is in manifest error." 30. Take to forgiveness and enjoin good and turn aside from the ignorant. And if a false imputation from the Shaitaan afflicts you, seek refuge in Allah. Surely He is hearing, knowing. Surely those who guard (against evil), when a visitation from the Shaitaan afflicts them they become mindful, and they see. (Surah-al-A'araf : 199-202). Good Conduct is enjoined in the Qur'an. 2 Likes

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) cursed a man who puts on the dress of women, and a woman who puts on the dress of men. [Abu Dawud]. Commentary: We learn from this Hadith that men's wearing of such clothes, in design and colour, which are special for women such as silken clothes, etc., is forbidden in Islam. Similar is the case of women. They are also prohibited to dress themselves in clothes which are special to men, i.e., shirts, trousers, coat of masculine fashion, etc. This prohibition is very stern as such a manner of dress comes in the category of major sins and has been cursed by the Prophet (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam). 1633. Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) said, "There are two types of people who will be punished in Hell and whom I have not seen: men having whips like the tails of cows and they will be beating people with them, and, women who will be dressed but appear to be naked, inviting to evil; and they themselves will be inclined to it. Their heads will appear like the humps of the Bactrian camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Jannah and they will not smell its fragrance which is perceptible from such and such a distance.'' [Muslim]. Commentary: This Hadith has the following three important points: 1. It has a warning for those who oppress people. Flogging in Hadd and Qisas does not come in the category of oppression because oppression in the real sense is perpetrated when whipping is done as a means of tyranny and cruelty. 2. It has a stern warning for those women who go about without wearing the Islamic-type veil and take to adornment to display their charms, which is the habit of immoral women. Such women also adorn their hair in different styles and lure men with their coquetry and amorous playfulness. They are shameless and also make others likewise. |

Thomas Carlyle in 'Heroes and Hero Worship and the Heroic in History,' 1840 "The lies (Western slander) which well-meaning zeal has heaped round this man (Muhammad) are disgraceful to ourselves only." "A silent great soul, one of that who cannot but be earnest. He was to kindle the world, the world’s Maker had ordered so." A. S. Tritton in 'Islam,' 1951 The picture of the Muslim soldier advancing with a sword in one hand and the Qur'an in the other is quite false. De Lacy O'Leary in 'Islam at the Crossroads,' London, 1923. History makes it clear, however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myths that historians have ever repeated. Gibbon in 'The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire' 1823 The good sense of Muhammad despised the pomp of royalty. The Apostle of God submitted to the menial offices of the family; he kindled the fire; swept the floor; milked the ewes; and mended with his own hands his shoes and garments. Disdaining the penance and merit of a hermit, he observed without effort of vanity the abstemious diet of an Arab. Edward Gibbon and Simon Oakley in ‘History of the Saracen Empire,’ London, 1870 "The greatest success of Mohammad’s life was effected by sheer moral force." “It is not the propagation but the permanency of his religion that deserves our wonder, the same pure and perfect impression which he engraved at Mecca and Medina is preserved after the revolutions of twelve centuries by the Indian, the African and the Turkish proselytes of the Koran....The Mahometans have uniformly withstood the temptation of reducing the object of their faith and devotion to a level with the senses and imagination of man. ‘I believe in One God and Mahomet the Apostle of God’ is the simple and invariable profession of Islam. The intellectual image of the Deity has never been degraded by any visible idol; the honors of the prophet have never transgressed the measure of human virtue, and his living precepts have restrained the gratitude of his disciples within the bounds of reason and religion.” Reverend Bosworth Smith in 'Muhammad and Muhammadanism,' London, 1874. "Head of the State as well as the Church, he was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without the Pope's pretensions, and Caesar without the legions of Caesar, without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a police force, without a fixed revenue. If ever a man ruled by a right divine, it was Muhammad, for he had all the powers without their supports. He cared not for the dressings of power. The simplicity of his private life was in keeping with his public life." "In Mohammadanism every thing is different here. Instead of the shadowy and the mysterious, we have history....We know of the external history of Muhammad....while for his internal history after his mission had been proclaimed, we have a book absolutely unique in its origin, in its preservation....on the Substantial authority of which no one has ever been able to cast a serious doubt." Edward Montet, 'La Propagande Chretienne et ses Adversaries Musulmans,' Paris 1890. (Also in T.W. Arnold in 'The Preaching of Islam,' London 1913.) "Islam is a religion that is essentially rationalistic in the widest sense of this term considered etymologically and historically....the teachings of the Prophet, the Qur'an has invariably kept its place as the fundamental starting point, and the dogma of unity of God has always been proclaimed therein with a grandeur a majesty, an invariable purity and with a note of sure conviction, which it is hard to find surpassed outside the pale of Islam....A creed so precise, so stripped of all theological complexities and consequently so accessible to the ordinary understanding might be expected to possess and does indeed possess a marvelous power of winning its way into the consciences of men." 1 Like 1 Share |

The greatest man in history is MUHAMMAD (s.a.w). He had no servants yet He is a Master, He is not a Doctor yet He is a Healer, He had no degrees yet He is a teacher, He is not a Soldier yet He conquered the world, He was buried yet He lives yesterday, today and tomorrow. I feel so honour to love such a leader. pls let show the whole world that we Muslims love our Prophet (S.A.W) so dearly |

When Islam introduced this matchless institution, it planted an ever-growing tree of infinite virtue and invaluable products. Here is an explanation of the spiritual meaning of the Islamic Fasting: It teaches man the principle of sincere Love: because when he observes Fasting he does it out of deep love for God. And the man who loves God truly is a man who really knows what love is. It equips man with a creative sense of hope and an optimistic outlook on life; because when he fasts he is hoping to please God and is seeking His Grace. It imbues in man the genuine virtue of effective devotion, honest dedication and closeness to God; because when he fasts he does so for God and for His sake alone. It cultivates in man a vigilant and sound conscience; because the fasting person keeps his fast in secret as well as in public. In fasting, especially, there is no mundane authority to check man's behavior or compel him to observe fasting. He keeps it to please God and satisfy his own conscience by being faithful in secret and in public. There is no better way to cultivate a sound conscience in man. It indoctrinates man in patience and selflessness, as through fasting, he feels the pains of deprivation but he endures them patiently. It is an effective lesson in applied moderation and willpower. Fasting also provides man with a transparent soul, a clear mind and a light body. It shows man a new way of wise savings and sound budgeting. It enables man to master the art of Mature Adaptability. We can easily understand the point once we realize that fasting makes man change the entire course of his daily life. It grounds man in discipline and healthy survival. It originates in man the real spirit of social belonging, unity and brotherhood, of equality before God as well as before the law. It is a Godly prescription for self-reassurance and self-control. |

Students Society of Nigeria EXAMINING THE MAN......MOHAMMADU BUHARI. Family Life... Although, he is a Muslim by religion, Buhari had one wife with children till he became the Head of State in 1983......But his regime was truncated by Babangida in 1985 and this IBB regime unjustifiably put him in detention for three and a half years without charging him for any offence whatsoever......Buhari was not found guilty of any crime and after this undue punishment, he was released in 1989.......BUHARI who upon his release, discovered that his wife had been receiving monetary assistance from Babangida while he was in prison, could not stand his wife's behavior and association with a corrupt regime of Babangida's, divorced the wife and moved on! Buhari, a man that can do anything to fight corruption. I wonder why Buahri's wife could not lay her hand on any of the vague and deceptive 'pdp orchestrated' suit cases when the family was lacking ![]() detention, do you think 'hippo' will lack anything that is financial ![]() Buhari had since married another wife....Till date, BUHARI is a husband of one wife. Official Conduct... BUHARI worked with three people apart from the military which scored him so high and from where he rose to become general.....The three people he worked with are: OBASANJO: Buhari was OBJ's Minister of Petroleum between 1976-1979. His era in the petroleum ministry brought about the birth of Nigeria's three refineries in Warri, Kaduna and Port-harcourt. Although, he was not the Head of Government but I have reasons to conclude that Buhari's competence as petroleum minister was the main reason why we have refineries today. This is because, while 3 refineries were built between 1976-1979(3years) of OBJ, none was built between 1999-2007(8years) also of OBJ. The difference is that Buhari only featured in the former and not in the later. OBJ's appraisal of BUHARI is a clear evidence that Buhari is a rare Nigerian specie.....OBJ has never been known to be generous when it comes to appraising people....OBJ descibed Buhari as 'not just incorruptible' but also 'a refined gentleman and officer with integrity and passion for service and quality output'.....WOW! BUHARI: Yes, he also worked for himself when 1983, he became the head of state and specifically went for the head of corruption. He paid Nigeria debt completely and refused to borrow from IMF....He reduced the inflation from about 25% to less 3% within a jiffy, he fought and almost put a full stop to drug trafficking by placing a considerate maximum punishment on traffickers! Corruption became a taboo during his regime and he also changed the currency's color in order to rubbish the stolen money hidden by politicians in various bedrooms, uncompleted and unoccupied buildings all over the country......They dared not bring out the money for exchange to new notes since they cannot afford to explain the source....Howev er, every decent earners changed theirs! Worthy of note is the fact that there was no single religious crisis during his regime, a regime where the 2 top guys were muslims......ALSO, he did not take the country to join any religious organization. His refusal to take 'un-needed' IMF loan was one of the main reasons why his regime was truncated. IMF equipped IBB for that assignment. And immediately IBB came in, he started taking IMF loans like their is no tomorrow and also took Nigeria to join the OIC.....PLEASE note, the OIC itself is not a bad organization, I only want to set the record straight. ABACHA: His passion for a better Nigeria and quality service delivery accounted for his acceptance to work as the Chairman of a Multi-billion dollars establishments called PTF, Petroleum Trust Fund. The roads that were constructed during his 4years in the organization far outweighs the roads constructed by the pdp since 1999! This is not just a raw truth but a verifiable fact. PTF supplied drugs to hospitals nationwide including remote villges, sunk boreholes and built schools in all the nooks and cranies of Nigeria......NOTE and very IMPORTANTLY too, Buhari never received salary as the Chairman of the PTF for 4years...STRANGE you will say, INCREDIBLE you may doubt! Buhari said he is a pensioner and since he collects his pension regularly, he does not think it is wise for him to be collecting salary and pension simultaneously while millions of other equal Nigerians are unemployed! Some corrupt souls will find this act either incredible, impossible or crazy......to those that are pure, everything is pure! I DOFF MY HAT. Many people said why will he serve under Abacha? I replied them by saying why will a Chris Kolade serve under a Jonathan? Why will an Awo serve under Gowon? And Why will a Soyinka, Tai Solarin serve under IBB? Why will Olu Onagoruwa serve under Abacha?? I can go on and on! MENTORSHIP He discovered Dora Akunyili He showed us Tunde Idiagbon He brooght up Al-Makura He brought Tam David West to Government. ABOVE ALL His public conduct has made him a mentor to many young Nigerians today including myself, although, I may not be like him completely....I will be a blessing to Nigeria and Africa, if I can just have 50% of his attributes. Of Course he is very very stubborn, if he is not, he would not have been contesting for presidency since 2003 under a sham system yet exhibiting unparalled optimism and faith in GOD that one day, SANITY will reign! NIGERIANS, Vote MOHAMMADU BUHARI as our PRESIDENT come February 2015......TOGETHER we can build a place call HOME! CHANGE IN 2015......Yes We Can! |

KANO: PEOPLE'S WILL UNBROKEN The Kano City Central Mosque attacked last friday by terrorists, today witnessed the highest congregation in the last 20 years. Many civilian volunteers provided security for the teaming worshippers. People saying that they better die in the Mosque than at home. Many people from far that normally worship in other Mosques in the city decided to worship in the Emir's palace Mosque. THE HAPPIEST THING IS THAT THE PRAYER WAS STILL LED BY THE AMIR, ALHAJI MUHAMMADU SUNUSI II, the leading promoter of people's self defense. (source BBCHausa) 1 Like 1 Share |
