Politics / Re: #occupynigeria: Lagos Protest At Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota. by Dazzel: 3:31pm On Jan 10, 2012
a LAGOS ISLAND WOMAN ONCE SAID 'WE LAGOSIANS LOVE TO PARTY, EVEN IF PIN DROP WE GO PARTY'.

Them don turn protest to party, tomorrow turn up will be more but not really to protest, na for the party!!!
As one band de leave, the crowd dey prepare for another performer. during commercial break, dem go chant 'Jonathan must go' OR 'N65 or nothing' and then the party continues. N areal mass protest. No wonder the igbos refuse to join in the carnival strike. They work hard for their money.

Whats the possibility that when we start refining here that these products wouldnt be smuggled to neighbouring countries where the prices are higher? we are telling them to fight corruption now but they are not interested in doing so.

has the price of diesel fallen below hundred naira for more than 7 years since it was deregulated?

This pple are crazy to say the least

Diesel is one of the products of refining crude.  cooking gas and PMS are the lighter constituents so it will be precipitated first, while the heavier oils (diesel and bitumen) are bye products of refining crude. as long as these products are imported their prices will keep going up. granting licenses to private companies to build refineries and refine crude will on the long run also reduce the price of diesel as well.

this is what i deduce from these events. Am not politically inclined so i may not understand the political implications, but you can enlighten me. Abeg, no curses oh.

Politics / Re: Why Are Ghanians Not Protesting Over A Similar Increase In Their Pump Price: by Dazzel: 12:07pm On Jan 10, 2012
I consider it baffling when people make comments on when they know little or nothing about or too lazy to get informed. One fella wrote here that Nigerians are lazy, I think he is not a Nigerian so I will not dignify his stupidity with a response. The minimum wage in Ghana is about 64,000 naira. It is convenient to observe that Ghanaians are not protesting over the hike, but you are too shallow-minded to understand why. This issue is beyond tribalism or religious sentiments. If you cannot see beyond your bigoted prisms, too bad.

Is this a fact, or you just post figures hoping believe will be gullible enough to believe you. Ghana's minimum wage is 3.73 Ghana cedes /day which amounts to above N11k. Glo and MTN currently have ghanains as their lowest paid staff because people are generally poorly paid there.
