Phones / Re: Top 9 Signs Your Phone Is Being Monitored By Someone by deedan9(m): 4:00pm On Jul 22, 2020 |
highfivetnt: Our phone is constantly monitored. You cannot use your android device effectively without your email. Your email is linked to you. There's something called big data. Big data collects user information and utilise them. I am not saying Big data is used on devices, but the concept is rich to explain this: "That we are monitored!" Just try this out: Talk about any topic that you have not browsed about before when your smartphone is connected to the internet frequently all the time. You will see ads about the topic when you open a website or use the Facebook app or other devices. If you read the privacy and terms condition of mobile applications, you will discover that many apps from PlayStore or Appstore spy on us. It's used in marketing for targeted ads. That is why you can get some weird ads sometimes. Take a look at your email, you might have probably received some emails from people you don't even know about or from websites you have never browsed. How then did they get your email address? The thing is, we are watched, for real! 1 Like |
Travel / Re: Enugu State Builds Roads To Connect Roads Accross Thick Forests by deedan9(m): 2:43pm On Jul 20, 2020 |
It is commendable to build roads in the state, but it never commendable to build roads inside the forests especially roads that are for public use. The primary point is that the roads now pose as an endangerment to wildlife. |

AmIaYahooGirl: I made the decision of staying alone at 25. I am 27 now. And yes, everyone was surprised I left home. They never believed I could take that step, especially when the economic condition of Nigeria is not helping. People will always talk, no matter what. Just do your thing and live your life. If you find love, that's good. Don't show a bad attitude to those who think you should not be living alone. You can learn a lot from whatever they will say to you. I have always tried to mind my own business, and that has been very helpful. Assuming we live close, we would even become friends. You get sense! |

logon599: We are not people of colour. The "Oyinbos" are actually the one of colour. I think this will be useful to you. It's an age long poem. "When I'm born I'm black, when I grow up I'm black, when I'm in the sun I'm black, when I'm sick I'm black, when I die I'm black, and you... when you're born you're pink, when you grow up you're white, when you're cold you're blue, when you're sick you're blue, when you die you're green and you dare call me colored". |

First of all, sorry if your name is Favour. Favour wants to ruin my life. I am glad I was quick to notice it on time. She would jokingly call me a f*cking boyfriend, and she would even tease me that I am "forming". Well, the relationship hasn't been up to 2 two months, and to end it quick. A good way to end the relationship?

Politics / Re: Sorry To Say, The Nigerian Government Is Better Than The Nigerian People by deedan9(m): 10:06am On Jan 21, 2020 |
Everything, or on a better pedestal, most things rest on the government. Yes, we should do a good job on our side, but we should know that everything we do, especially in the business and job creation aspects of life are regulated and controlled by the government. Someone can afford to $100 in a month about 6 years ago, but he finds it difficult to pay $95 now. By numbers, he is paying more on a lesser valued currency. Anyway, without digressing, I would like to suggest that the government should create an enabling atmosphere that would make businesses grow. If they can make basic amenity like electricity to become better, many businesses will not crash and go out of business. About human behavior, it is natural. Humans learn almost everything that exists in them today. They are a product of their environment. You don't expect humans to be humane all the time. Don't get me wrong here, I am only expressing that humans cannot be good in everything be it leadership, demeanour or sacrosanct dealings. However, we can always do better. And in this way, we can move forward. |

Jobs/Vacancies / Can A Nigerian Get A Teaching Job With TEFL? by deedan9(m): 10:36pm On Oct 11, 2019 |
Hello Nairalanders, I was doing some research about work abroad. I came across TEFL - Teaching English Foreign Language. There have been many success stories about getting a teaching job in some countries like China, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and some advanced countries. Some of the employees are not Nigerian, and some of these jobs are open to all nationalities, both native English speakers and non-native English speakers. For one to be eligible, he or she must have a TEFL certificate and a bachelor degree of any discipline. I need opinions and Information about a Nigerian getting a job with TEFL. If you have any experience to share, please share. Thanks. Admin, you can help here please. Man gat survive! |

Career / Re: Pursuing Money Vs Education: Should I Drop Out Of School? by deedan9(m): 11:45pm On Jun 09, 2019 |
Please what kind of skill is that? I am really interested in the skill. Education is good, but the money is better. You can skip classes if attendance is not compulsory, maybe once in a while. Just try to make as much money you can make because the current dispensation of Nigerian labour market is something not to talk about. However, that skill of yours, can it be learned? |

Religion / "Suffer Not The Witch To Live" - Google's Opinion by deedan9(m): 4:31pm On Oct 08, 2017 |
Today Sunday 08/10/207, I read a thread about praying for the death of an enemy. I came across somewhere among the comments where it was written "Thou shall not suffer the witch to live." Because of this, I made a quick search on Google in order to know the Bible verse. The Bible verse is Exodus 22:18. From the details on the photo, it is obvious that the quoted "Thou shall not suffer the witch to live" was based on the witch-hunt in Europe. The curiosity about this particular sentence compel me to ask if the sentence connotes or do not agree with biblical basis.

Greetings Nairalanders, Is there any legal rules to observe before changing your details such as name, age , date of birth, local government of origin and the likes? Some of my official documents have the old name i used to bear and some wrong details I used before. I am planning to go for a change of name after my NYSC but will it make my documents remain valid? Is there any legal implications to this? Thanks. |
