Politics / Re: Bishop Oyedepo: "When The Wicked Rule The People Mourn" by DGeneral001(m): 1:50pm On Oct 21, 2020
The struggle for good governance is not a target against Buhari. If we are taking it like that then we are loosing focus of the system. A bad system can not give a good product, but a realization would about a paradigm shift. So let's not fall hook, line and sinker for some clergymen's stance on the protest. Reason for yourself, we should all be free thinkers. From the way some churches are making education expensive and out of the reach of their poor members who have no choice than to resort to Government owned institutions, I believe if they were the Government they would do worse. Nigeria need an holistic reform where all could be held accountable.

Please know that God is the Lord of hosts. And all leaders are ordained by him. If you doubt, read about Cyrus who thought he became king all by himself, unknowing to him his assignment is to bring about the fall of great Babylon. I will admonish you to pray for your leaders and your country, for the heart of the leader is in the hand of God. Remember, he uses the foolish to confound the wise. Thank you. Don't regret voting for Buhari, I proudly, I did the same, however, my desire like others is to see a new Nigeria emerging from the age long corrupt driven system of government that we have.
Politics / #endsarsnow: Things We Need For A Better Nigeria by DGeneral001(m): 9:56pm On Oct 17, 2020
There is so much to ask for, and there is so much that need to be fixed. In our demand for a better Nigeria, we must not in any way forget or wish away the very integral part of national growth and development; the Local Government.

The Local Government being the government that is closer to the people is very important in helping to transform the lives of the common man. However, this is not made happened because the state Governors have conspired to kill it in all entirety aided by the insensitivity of the Constitution.

Please let us push for the revitalization of the Local Government for us to truly enjoy some of the benefits that may accrue from the enumeration below:

1. COMMUNITY POLICING
When security is closer, the people are most secured. We had in the news recently of how vigilantes flushed out some bandits from a particular local government in Katsina State. That was made possible through local intelligence gathering thus highlighting the great importance of community policing. Lets note that community policing not the same as State policing.

2. HEALTH CARE DEVELOPMENT
In most communities there are primary health care centres but existent only in names. The reason is because the funds to get them working properly has been hijacked and used out of purpose by the State Governors. This is not supposed to be so, it is high time things got working properly, because many depend on the primary health care centres especially the local farmers in our remote villages who mostly suffer from bites of venomous snakes, rodents and insects.

3. PRIMARY EDUCATION
Provision of quality primary education is one duty of the local government. But since it is structured under the state government, quality primary education is now only present in the cities and developed town, whereas the remote villages and distant communities that fall under the leadership of local government are left on their own fate.

4. DEVELOPMENT OF TRUCK C ROADS
If the local government is made functional, truck C roads in our villages and communities will be developed. Let's know that some villages and communities are cut off from developments due to lack of motorable roads. Hence, it is needful we revive the local governments to allow for all-round national development and progress.

5. MARKET DEVELOPMENT AND ABATTOIR MAINTENANCE
The presence of the state government is far from most communities. Due to that fact proper harnessing of their local markets can not be done. Besides, since the concern of the state government is skewed to one section, healthy products from the local abattoir can not be truly guaranteed.

We have seen some facts that underscores the importance of the local government in Nigeria. Therefore, its functionality for all-round development and progress of the nation is a demand to press for amidst other demands.

Together lets make Nigeria work.

Politics / How Good Use Of Endsars Protest Can Help Transform The Country by DGeneral001(m): 7:24pm On Oct 16, 2020
#EndSars protest calls for a lot of carefulness. Am saying this because of the importance of the whole saga. First, there has not been any thing more profound and unyielding like this in this era. As nothing would last forever (until it is compromised, hijacked, derailed or suppressed), we better make known what will be beneficial and law abiding.

Let us channel our energy and bring to the notice of the people in authority what we think should be made lawful as a reflection of international best practices. One of such is the Local Government issue. Let's make a demand for it to be restructured and freed from the high-handedness of the state Governors.

This is my humble submission.
