Remove the space between t. and me. It works. We still need more people to take the time slot.
Try it now or share your slot.

I keep getting the prompt that the link has expired.

Has anyone been able to schedule a date earlier than August in Abuja. I was able to schedule for August 10th but looking to see if I will be able to get an earlier date before requesting for an emergency appointment.

I don't get what you're saying?
I mean, the return is scheduled for 4months after arrival in the US

They have to do that before granting you access into their country.

Thanks for the response, I am asking for a grandma with 4months between arrival and departure dates.

I have been a silent follower of this thread for about a year now and want to say thank you to everyone that has kept the thread active. You guys are doing a great job. My visa was approved this morning in Abuja.

Me: Good Morning
VO: good morning, pass me your passport (I hand it over and he scanned it)

VO: Let me have your I-20 (did as requested and he took time to examine it)

VO: Tell me more about this program at Kansas State
Me: I am going for a Phd in Computer science and will be working as a research assistant for Prof Bleep and we will be working on research YYYYY

VO: Okay, why Kansas State
Me: I wanted a school with high research pedigree and KSU's research activity is rated R1 by Canergie classification of higher institution.

VO: Have you travelled before.
Me: No, never had reasons to

VO: what is your highest qualification
Me: I have a Msc in Computer Science

VO: Your Visa has been approved (returned I-20 and handed me the white paper) this form tells you how to pick up your passport (handed me another paper) and this describes how you enter the United State as a student. Congrats and enjoy your stay in the US.

PS: Information is power and will like prospective students to put in the time and effort into preparing/writing tests, searching for schools, writing statements etc. The process might look long but it's worth it.

Congrats to everyone that has been accepted and good luck to those still waiting...

To those applying in the not too distant future, please take note that it takes more than having a great GRE score to get admitted and offered funding. The application is usually considered as a whole, ensure you take time to find out about the program, get all the required documents, write a convincing SOP and be prepared to defend your decision for grad school(if need be).

I wish everyone the best of luck.

Congrats Divabiola. You contributed to the thread in your own special way. I am happy for you.

@DrHopeful, the wait is not easy but I think the consensus online say it is not bad most times if you have not received a decision by now. Let us be keeping our fingers crossed. What about the interview you had with a member of Faculty in one of your schools?

Thanks dear

Good day people. I need help with some clarifications. I got my MSC transcript few days ago and I was faced with some issues.

My weighted average os 63.89% which is normally equivalent to a B.

WES evaluation returned 3.47/4.0 however, the transcript does not have grade classification(quite strange).

Even the grades do not bear grade letters they are just grades e.g 50%, 75% e.t.c.

I don't think you should worry yourself about it because not all schools assign letter grades for post-graduate courses. Also, I believe schools have a way of converting your GPA in whatever form to the US standard.

I wrote the GRE a few days ago and my score was Q156 V151.

I can't really remember how long I prepared for but I'm sure it was for about 3months or less.
I work full time so finding time to study was rather difficult. I would wake up 3.30am everyday and study for 2 hours. I used the ETS official books(Think there are about 3 or 4 of them), the manhattan 5lb, Magoosh videos, the Prep4GRE Android App and Magoosh vocabulary app.

I took the powerprep test some days to the exam and my score was Q166 V154.

On the test day, I had QVQVQ. The first set of questions (QV) had medium difficulty, the second verbal had about the same level of difficulty, the second Quant I took was difficult but the last one was super difficult.

I don't have a great score because I wasted so much time on the verbal section, so I will iterate what Sirriddy said about focusing on the Quant if you are going for STEM courses. Also, when taking practice tests, try to take an additional Quant or Verbal to simulate the extra section you will get in the exam.
