GidiHausAgent: I was so surprised that it was the police doing the filming o. The truth is that some people can so make trouble for you no matter your level that you would wish you never encountered them. See sars telling a civilian " you can't harass me". levels dey o. I'm gradually concluding that if you want some respect in Nigeria, you have to show signs of madness from time to time. 4 Likes |

I have always told anyone who cares to listen that Nigeria can never make progress as a country because tribalism is the most important factor in decision making for most Nigerians. I believe that most people on nairaland are within the 20 - 45 year age range, and you can see clearly that a major percentage of nairalanders are more tribalistic than progressive. Meaning that for the next 50 years at least, tribalism will remain a major decision making tool in nigeria. The implication is that we will never have leaders based on merit, but on tribal sentiments. By the time we have a population of 500 million people with a devastated economy, we will be eating ourselves like in the days of famine in Israel. Anyone who desires a better tomorrow for his tribesmen in this country should join in the agitation for the total balkanization of this country. It is the only way out. Noting else, as in Noting else can work here. You can imagine how shameless and intellectually deficient the man who put up this thread is (i don't mean this as an insult because it is the effect of tribalism). This is probably a man that has gone to a higher institution and is supposedly educated, maybe even well traveled beyond the shores of nigeria, yet his only response to Reno's statement is to look for an igbo man to drag. That's to tell you that education will not change the deep tribal dispositions we have in Nigeria. Now If education cannot change it, what will? Let us look for a peaceful way to divide this country for the good our unborn children. We will do much better as separate nations and relate better as neighboring countries. |

Both of them are thieves. its just as simple as that. They take other peoples money against their will. Ive been paying tax in Lagos since 2007. It pains me that Tinubu takes at least 10℅ of it and there is nothing I can do about it. As a matter of fact, hush uses brain and tech, Tinubu more or less uses a stick. If you discover that hush wants to job you and you stand against him, he will run as far as his legs can carry him. All we lagosians know Tinubu is chopping us bad. But if you dare talk, you get crushed. 2 Likes 1 Share |

ajebuter: Its also smartness to realize when not to fight. He would have been thoroughly dealt with if he attempted to go against buhari in 2019. Tinubu is truly smart, but nobody wins all battles. |

JONNYSPUTE: Thanks for the reply. Now, I would admonish you not to go into further negotiations with them i.e., them permitting you to ascend the throne with your current wife etc. A kindred that still consults oracles to select kings is still neck deep in paganism. Ascending that throne will get you neck deep in paganism aswell, that your Christianity will be long gone. It is most likely to rob off on your children as well. My brother, the christian faith is a lifestyle, and if you want to remain a christian, you must take a stand for Christ for your personal salvation and maybe even that of your children. This life is passing, and you, the kingship, and the people mounting pressure on you will pass away also. So any action that will bring a barricade between you and your salvation should not be contemplated. As a reminder, Christ forbids any action based on directions of any deity or the appearance of such. Our allegiance is to Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone. Secondly, the Christian faith denounces polygamy. Consequently, its not just about your wife not seeing with you, its also about the fact that you cant marry a second wife as a Christian. I'm sure you already know this. Having said this, its important that you also know that the forces you are up against are not going to let you be easily. They will trouble you with everything they can trouble you with, physically, through mockery and possibly isolation, and spiritually as well. As a result, you need to become most serious with your faith. You will need to share this with leaders in your Church ( i dont know if you are Catholic or protestant) but either way, sufficient help can come from the church both in the village and where you reside. So you must engage them in this. You are faced with a battle of a lifetime, a very tough one at that, but it is worth fighting, because it is for your peace of mind, and your eternal well being. Your coming to this forum is already an indication that you are not at peace. I can assure you that going ahead with their desire will take your peace away for the rest of the days that you live, and you will wish you fought for what you believed in. Please remember this: with the assistance of the Lord Jesus Christ, every man made opposition can be defeated. |

JONNYSPUTE: I didnt have the time to go through the comments on the thread, so i don't know if you have made up your mind yet on what to do. But i would like to ask if you are a Christian in the first instance because that is a major factor in determining your course of action. I would appreciate a response. |

I'm beginning to think that of 100 people who have malaria symptoms, 90 will return covid 19+ if they were tested. Its either there is something wrong with these kits or there is something identical between malaria and covid. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

yanabasee1: The intent of the breakaway is to maintain grip on Lagos which remains very powerful as a single entity. At least, a grip on lagos will keep the money rolling in. Continued stay in APC may put up lagos for grabs by the foxes that have taken over APC which will bring a complete end to Tinubus political existence. Losing the 2023 presidency and Lagos at the same time would be too much for the Tinubu camp. If you reason am, you will understand the loyalists have a real cause for concern. |

Fearlez: Its not about them teaching, they have a lot to learn themselves. Its about the popularity they enjoy. I think a lot of our musicians and entertainers today are irresponsible, but you cant deny that in the social sphere they enjoy some influence. They can use such influence for greater good. Remember the amount of momentum tuface generated with his bothched protest. |

Bar1941: Tinubu is the most powerful politician in nigeria no doubt. His influence stretches far beyond his immediate constituency. He holds his constituency Lagos with absolute firmness, while calling shots in some other SW states and as far as Abuja. Not even Buhari can boast of that. Buhari's popularity in the north was born out of religious sentiment and not political sagacity. But with all this said, the machinery to permanently disarm him has been in the works for a long time, and the implementation of the process has begun full swing. So far, the guys doing the hatchet job are getting the job done gradually. Are they going to succeed? I can't tell and no one can tell for now. 3 years is a long time in politics. But be under no illusion: all that is happening now is a plot to send Tinubu to political retirement. Note, they are not only going to attempt to get him out of Abuja, they will come to Lagos aswell. As for Oshiomole, his political end is here. No party chairman remains politically powerful after he has been ousted. If he miraculously wins a court battle, then APC ends. That's what led to the demise of PDP at the federal level. 3 Likes |

Lamasta: But that was possible because certain leaders were at the forefront. If we had the Bishops, GO's, Imams, A grade entertainers and the human rights activists at the fore front of the protest, we can Que behind them. Thats what happened during the subsidy protests. People queued behind leaders like Tunde Bakare, Wole Soyinka, Femi Kuti and the rest. You don't open fire on people like that, because that will generate such an outcry that can unseat a government. But if na me and you, they will whisk us away in a matter of seconds, and nobody will ever remember that we protested. That is why i am particular about our so called religious leaders and entertainers that we do so much to keep on the high. But when it is time for them to use their platform to do something reasonable, dem go miss. Nonsense. 4 Likes |

I'm confused. Are all of us Nigerians just suppose to watch this man get killed because he came out to say the truth? No words from religious leaders, human rights activists, entertainers, nobody. But a few weeks ago it was all about black lives matter in America. But this brave soldiers life doesn't matter? Lamasta: But that was possible because certain leaders were at the forefront. babyfaceafrica: That's the way politics in Nigeria is. If you will grow politically, pray your chairman grows, until you yourself become a chairman. If your chairman looses out of the political chess game at the top, your growth shall be stunted. |

Op, the yoots from poto republic no sabi say even Buhari na Tinubu boy, including elrufai and Amaechi. All of them na Tinubu boys. Person wet get all these amount of loyal boys yet e gast call Tunde before them go allow am see buhari? Tunde self no still gree. But on a more serious note, Tinubu is no doubt a great political strategist, but every man's influence is limited to the interest of some other people. Once your influence doesnt serve some peoples intrests, including your close allies, its just a matter of time before your influence starts to wane. Truth is that in a conducive situation, many so called Lagos Tinubu loyalists will abandon him in pursuit of their own interest. 3 Likes |

haconjy: Not true. Primaries in Nigeria is a test of money. Even when the major stakeholders in a party support a particular candidate during the primaries, they ensure the delegates are properly financially motivated beyond what any opponent can offer. That is politics in Nigeria. The other candidates did well by stepping down. They will never have been able to match the governor dollar for dollar, and the governor would have still had his way. Under the present circumstance, they themselves would be properly settled, and would have built a reasonably strong link with the governor which will be beneficial if they win. |

Ayed44: Its better they do it fast, if not, when they are done with him at the national level, their next destination would be Lagos which is Oga's cash cow. It only makes sense that if all this is a strategic design to clip tinubu's wings, then they must reduce or totally destroy his influence in Lagos. That will not be too difficult once they are done with him in abuja. Lagos APC already have too many disgruntled members who feel so helpless due to Tinubu's influence in Lagos and abuja at the same time. 1 Like |
