Even if Obaseki was given the APC 2020 governship ticket on a platter of gold by Oshiomhole's NWC, APC would have lost to PDP if Ize-iyamu was the PDP governship candidate. I mean this is a governor who lost his LGA and senatorial district to Ize-iyamu's PDP then, just in 2019.
Only Oshiomhole won his senatorial district for APC.
In Edo state politics, if Ize-iyamu is the candidate of APC, Obaseki will be beaten silly.
Odubu is called the wizard that flies in the daytime in Edo politics and if he wins the APC nomination for governship, powers will coalesce behind him.
Obaseki will be nowhere to be seen.
Whatever happens, Obaseki is a goner.
I think the main reason Ize-iyamu came back to APC was this corruption case, only APC could save him and it is working so far and Odubu plus Ize-iyamu in the same party, even if Oshiomhole is jailed, knocked out or buried today, is an unbeatable powerhouse.
