He is accompanying. He did not exactly say he wasn't going to do it, but he is not preparing. I have encouraged and pushed him, still no difference. I just chose to give myself peace instead of resenting him. My score now is 412, but I am in the process of getting his certificate from his school to evaluate. Then I am also preparing for CIMA. Thank you.
Zara01:
Is your spouse accompanying you to Canada? If yes, I don't see why he can't write IELTS to help boost your score, that's quite odd.

Nonetheless, what's your score? You can do a PGD and be done in 9 months, what do you think?

Thank you for this. This spoke to me. I have my IELTS result and ECA. But ITA seems impossible to get because of my CRS and my husband's refusal to do IELTS. I want to do CIMA and have started some preparation, but I lack motivation. It just seems so hard right now and I don't know if I can make it. The Canadian dream is getting blurry. So I really needed this message. I will push hard, and hopefully testify soon.
Enjoy!

Hearty Congratulations Ifeoma. We know you in my office, when you first announced that your PPR has landed, my colleague told me 'our Ifeoma has gotten PPR'. Thank you for all that you do on this thread. All the best in your future endeavors.

Write it like that. We will read it. T
Thank you very much

Yes o! My journey has been a long and challenging one. I was determined not to give up. In my head, I'm still trying to cut out certain parts of my PPR write-up so I don't give the longest PPR story ever told.

Please mention this to people. In cases like this, its the people you least expect that will help. If you have to sell the car, please do. Then you will have about N3.2M. You are closer than you think. We don't know where our POF will come from, but we are taking things one day at a time. If you believe in the power of prayer, PRAY! Pray that God exalts his mightiness through your matter. Sending love and light your way.

After all my hustling and scrambling, I could only come up with 2.5M. Been so depressed after my ITA. In fact, I just declined the yeye ITA, because the more I was seeing the ITA, the more I was getting depressed. My CRS score of 465 affords me the luxury of declining ITAs sha.

I think of selling my car but that will only give me 700k at most. This thing just tire me. Make I dey look sha. If I nor see money, I may just end up chilling in Nigeria with Buhari.

According to my school, it does.
fmsimple:

Your dashboard should read "Submitted" after uploading your certificate and payment made.
It should change to "Received" only when ICES received your official transcript. Usually it takes about 2-3 weeks after your institution had sent the document.
I hope your transcript bears your Reference Number?

[quote author=fmsimple post=74758687]ECA by ICES Made Simple - Step by Step Guide to evaluating your credential

hi @fmsimple please help.
My ICES dashboard changed almost immediately after I uploaded my certificate online. I am sure that my school had not sent my transcript to them when I noticed the change. My school took their time with sending the transcript, but eventually confirmed to me that it had been sent. I emailed ICES to confirm receipt, they said they had not received anything further on my application. After some weeks, I emailed again and got the same response. Meanwhile my contact in school says they have sent the transcript severally, after double checking that all details are correct. All this while, my dashboard is still showing received. What does this mean?
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by Donacanada: 11:02am On Jan 11, 2019
I did not submit any form from ICES to my university, neither did they ask. But who am I to talk, my ECA is not ready yet
Denov:
I submitted my online application. It reads submitted. I didn't get a print out before submission, but when I went to my University, they asked for the ices form to apply for my transcript. I'm really worried. Please help, those who used ICES for ECA Evaluation. Thanks.

this is my exact situation. all the while, I thought they had started their process. meanwhile school says they have sent it severally. which school please?
Nasachuky:
My ICES dashboard reads application received and ICES said they have not received my transcript till date. I thought received means that my transcript has been received?

Zinggi:

You can send them an email and stylishly ask them the same question, they won't even know when they have answered you.

Here's what I did for my husband's evaluation, a week after etx (we used etx ng) updated that his transcript has been sent, I sent ICES this mail:

Dear Team,
My name is.......
Ref no: ICES BCIT
Please i would like to verify if you have received my documents for evaluation.

They responded that they have and gave their usual reply of 12 weeks....

Two weeks after, I sent them another email:
Please kindly confirm that my transcript from the school below was sent from an email that is acceptable by ICES. (I quoted the degree).
I need this confirmation as I made payment on the school's portal for it to be sent and want to be sure it was properly sent as I do not want any delays in the timeframe for my evaluation to be out.

(Now I remember, I sent the above email to ICES after I read @nomad26 story). @nomad26, Thanks for sharing.

and they replied:

We pleased to advise your report is in the final stages of completion and expect it to be mailed sometime next week. Once it is ready to be couriered you will receive a tracking number in your e-mail –please also check your junk mail.

They respond to mails.... you can give this a trial.
I did same for my WES.

They actually respond to mails, and timely too. I have sent them three mails to confirm if they received my transcript, and they responded that they haven't, three times. very politely sef. The third time I was reluctant to send the mail, but my contact in U.I insisted that the email was sent and he reconfirmed the email address and client number. ICES however said they didn't see it. They said they have checked and rechecked all past and present incoming mails but they have not gotten anything from my institution. They then advised me to try the courier route. Apparently, I have no choice but to do so.

My people, see me o. IELTS first attempt
I was hoping to max out, but IELTS obviously has other plans for me.
L 9
R 8.5
S 8
W 7.
I am the PA o. With only B.Sc. What to do....with this writing.
I honestly am tired of this country. Seems like I have to do something else to increase my CRS score. I dont know if i can be patient for another 1 year or more for additional degree. And I hated French in secondary school. How I go do?

Hello everyone. I hate to do this, jump into a thread on nairaland without reading to get a proper feel of the thread and asking questions that have already been answered. but I am pressed for time and I just discovered this thread today through a google search. we have an interview for B1/B2 visa very soon. The application was packaged by my husband and I never showed interest in it really because I am not really interested in U.S. However, my hubby for some reason thinks if a person has not visited U.S, he or she is not made or something. And he thinks he has a better chance if we apply as a family, hence the family application. He applied as a single person in 2014, he says he had a good interview with multiple travel history to the UK, but the VO asked him if he was married or had any kids and he said no. he was refused. He believes the refusal was because he had no family ties. Now we have a daughter. Suddenly I am apprehensive about the interview, I hate failure. How do we show ties to the Nigeria. I work with a bank, earn N385,000 monthly. He has a business, annual income about 2.4-3million. We live in our own home (although I don't know how to show the VO that). We have no intention to remain in the US. I have 20 working days leave pending for the year (haven't used any leave days). We plan to spend 2 weeks. our daughter is a baby so she has not started school. My husband's cousin has invited us to stay with his family in the US. Any pointers for our interview? Anything to note? General Advice? will appreciate comments. thank you.
sorry for the long post. trying to give enough background info.
