@dotcom name name I pmed you last week but I didn't get any response,my enquiry goes thus:
I secured admission for my masters in the university of Limerick and I want to begin the application process but right now I'm kinda confused on how to go about payment. I would love to know what you can tell about the pay to study platform most schools use in Ireland, how it works & if it's favorable in cognizance of the present economic situation in Nigeria (official/parallel market rates) or any other method in which fees can be paid to Ireland without incurring excess unwanted charges.

I have searched tirelessly and found nothing at the moment
Any information will be highly appreciated
I'm currently serving and don't want to involve family

Thanks in anticipation

Humber offers a couple of international entrance scholarships for international students. The deadline is may 20
" Please return to your acceptance package. Locate the Table of Contents. Locate the Applying for a Scholarship page (#12). Read and comply with the instructions on that page."

Hi NL,
i'm still putting together my documents for application and i intend to use family pictures as proof of relationship with my uncle (with different surname). My question is simple, as it is a family picture with a lot of people from both my extended and nuclear family, do i have to point out myself or sponsor in each picture?. the pictures were taken 15+ years ago & "a lot has changed". If yes what's the best way to go about that?
Secondly, What is the best format for submitting such.. I'm going through the paper route & i read on this thread that originals are no longer necessary, i intend to scan those pictures and print them out as photographs & not as photocopies. Is this advisable?

Thanks y'all are doing a great job looking forward to your suggestions... BTW i applied for the web development postgraduate program @ Humber College, Toronto for September, 2016.

ralfudoh:
Sorry but unfortunately Vfs doesnt collect pictures for visa application anymore. So dont bother about attaching pictures, look for alternative means to prove your relationship with your sponsor.

Thanks @ralfudoh what alternate means do you suggest? also open to other suggestions.

Just saying you'll return to Nigeria after the course is absolutely not sufficient. Anybody can say that, you need to be absolutely and unambiguously convincing. The burden of proof is on you to state what you would do in Nigeria in the aftermath of your program. Do you have goals or ambition on what you could do in Nigeria with your Canada training? What are the economic opportunities that you would gain with this Canada training? You need to apply for the visa with the assumption & mindset that you won't be getting PGWP or PR (which is actually a real possibility fyi). It's ok for plans in the future to change, everybody (including the VO, they are not stupid_) knows that. I previously explained this here.

You also need to closely link your past educational trajectory and work experience with both your Canada training and your future ambitions. You need to be as specific as possible.

PS: I received your PM and read the SOP. Make the changes I recommended above and send another version. Take your time and don't be in a hurry.

Thanks boss, i made changes as specified and already sent u another version.

Ok, good to know you read the thread closely. Responded to your PM request.

PS: what is it about stating ways in which your skills would help Naija are you trying to wrap your head around? Pls respond on here so others can benefit. I will respond to your subsequent PMs only on issues that can't be addressed on here. Thx.

I secured admission to study Web Development p.g.c at Humber college for the fall 2016 session, in order to satisfy the home/family ties during application do you think me saying i'll return to Nigeria after the course would be sufficient in the eyes of the VO or do i have to state my future plans plainly, as we all know plans change & i don't want it seem like i'm being deceitful or telling tall tales.

P.s.: I also sent u a pm.

I'm really busy these days and sorry I'm unable to scrutinize your SOP. Please read my old posts where I have provided advice on what an SOP should contain. I would help you but I just receive too many PM requests and SOP assistance requests that i am not physically able to help due to time constraints. Cheers & good luck.

Okay.. Thanks a lot, i understand that u are really busy these days, i am really convinced that my SOP will convey my message explicitly to VO. I just need some tips from u on how to elaborate more on the Home ties aspect, i read earlier in the thread that u were able to help your sis out with that. Where she was stating the ways in which she'll apply her skills in Nigeria. That's basically what i am trying to wrap my head around.

P.s.: I have read through most of the previous threads as suggested!

@kirri i also secured admission at Humber college for the fall 2016, and i paid the 75cad application fee with my access naira card. 16,378.50 NGN was the amount debited from the account. Do take note that i made the payment on feb 1. It is advisable to have enough money lodged in your account else you'll keep getting "transcation declined errors".
