Hi everyone, with the situation in Nigeria I know we are all looking for ways to give our kids another passport. I made a video talking about the process of giving birth in Canada, how i found the clinic I made use of and a bit of the birth process.

Please watch, comment, subscribe and share any feedback you might have. smiley

[b]You can change only if the price is higher than what you quoted. Hence, you let them know that it was cheaper than the standard birth rate of giving birth in USA.
That way they'd know u have a genuine intention.

It's possible sis.
It's only going to come at an additional cost in paying for apartment & nanny. I used a nanny service. Your pocket just need to expand for the extra expenses.

Please anyone with travel experience for birthing purpose not accompanied by mother or mother in law and without friends/relatives to lodge with in the US ?

Can one embark on this by planning to lodge alone without friends or relatives but possibly with support from DH ?

If possible get a better bill. 6k is not an ideal bill in this recent hot tenor. 10k/12k for medical only excluding other expenses is more like it.
If you can avoid Texas as a whole, that might be better.
Read recent pages.
All the best though. #mytots.

Hello house,

I am about to attend my Interview with my husband next week and I would like some advise from the house.

This is our first child and my first attempt to travel.

We got a Doctor in texas that billed us about $6k plus and sent us a letter to present at the embassy. My husband has an uncle over there in texas who will assist with accommodation. his statements ready over N8Millin and I just want to make sure everything from our end is ready before we attend the interview.

Does anyone have any sample excel sheet of costing for the baby? I heard that would be needed at the embassy too.

If anyone wouldn't mind giving me some tips. Thank you

If Texas borned mama's are having issues with renewals, while chicago are successful renewing with both locations on paying hospitals bills of about 5k I think u should avoid texas and seek less prominent cities with affordable prices.

BOmum:

can always change giving the long months between you drop box application and interview....Any thing can happen with 4 months plus including pregnancy. Just be truthful and say it as it played out.Your destination can change too if your plans change.Youre no longer going for vacation but birthing so you can switch to Texas too.You don't exactly need an appointment from a dr.Just quotes from them on the cost will do and your budget sheet. But be careful not to present a quote from NewJersey which is some worth pricey and then you get your visa but end up using Texas with a more cheaper rate. This is currently some of the struggle so if you present a quote and your visa gets issued, use that medical facility or another within the same price bracket to avoid the wahala everyone has now

Please guys quick response..My friend applied for visa via drop box in November but was invited for interview in December. She finally got a date for the 14th of March. The purpose of her trip is vacation/attend a wedding...A few days ago she found out she is pregnant and her interview being so close she started contacting hospitals but yet to get a correspondence given that she found out barely a week to her interview. Her purpose of visit remains valid as she still plans to go for the wedding in May but now that she is a few weeks pregnant, the story has changed...What can she do given her close interview date...

Secondly has anyone gotten date recently for interview..I am still unable to get a date o..Its been 1 month now..I have written and called but still discretion response

My opinion, since she's just going for wedding, attend the interview and don't FORGET to inform the officer that you would be birthing in 9months time. Cos getting a doc at month zero and you not based there, I don't know how that would work.

I THINK YOU SHOULD TRY ZENITH OR GTB, THEY ALLOW FOREIGN CHEQUES AND DRAFT ONLY THAT THE NUMBER OF CLEARING DAYS IS ABOUT 7/14days.

I don’t think it’s possible to open an account without being present since you’re non-resident in the US. If you were a US citizen or a green card holder, some banks allow you to open account online. But I don’t think that will apply to you. Best best is to hold on to the check until you have time to come to the US, open an account and deposit it in there. [/quote]

IS THIS TRULY FOR REAL?

A new development: Irrespective of whether you have a UK visa or not, yourself and Biodun1234 if you decide to can actually go into the UK for a period less than 48hrs because your layover is more than 12hrs and you have an onward ticket to show alongside either your US, Canada, New Zealand or Australia visa. Just explain yourself appropriately and use the opportunity to see the UK.... Entry isn't 100% guaranteed though, but hardly will you be turned down.
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by dora2007: 7:25pm On Aug 01, 2017
I think you should let it go for now. An average of 10years which is usually the ban span could make the case void.
Then you can try reapplying.

quote author=ladymandyo post=58968181]When my visa was approved, I was on family planning and my baby was still exclusively breastfeeding. Didn't know at the time. It was in my first interview I didn't mention the pregnancy though I knew as I wasn't properly informed (told to mention only if asked specifically).

Yes I made a mistake because I was misinformed, was honest in my explanation to the VO. Last two denials were over a year apart.

Wats the way forward?

Don't intend to try Canada as I heard u have to hide your pregnancy status and that's not an option to consider.

Pls can you help with tanko's contact for visa.
Thanks

ozycy:

You don't have to wait for one week before going to collect your child's birth certificate. You had your baby in fort bend county , simply go to their website and check if baby's birth certificate is ready. Mine was ready in about 24hrs after submission and one week after then, it was already on its way to obtaining Naija visa from T anko.
You don't have to go with baby to collect birth cert. Hope you v booked appointment with passport office so you don't have to wait for long for a closer date. Anyways, end of August is still far.

Just for info purpose.
My spouse wasn't present @ delivery so his name couldn't be included on birth certificate as stated by hospital rule. The DS3053 which I notarized in naija wasn't used as only my name was accepted in processing. My baby's US PP.

veleta:
@0 Nnystc, to add to your question, the Ds 3053 I saw on the website will expire this August, can someone still use it after August?
Once either of the parents won't be around you need the DS 3053 form notarized ,not all lawyers are public notary, you need to get a notary lawyer to do it though,i don't know whether California accepts form notarized by lawyer or it must be notarised from embassy.
Please, Bisoye and Njidekachi,we need your clarification. Thanks
