Gladys84:Hello Gladys, It shouldn't affect your appointment. All you have to do is wait for the appointment date to be sent to your mail but hopefully you get it before our resumption date. If not, see how your school can help when that time gets close. Danke 1 Like |

DeluxebyOVA:ND and HND degree only cannot be used to apply to that particular degree program or university (where you saw this) unless it has been incorporated into a bachelor's degree which means that you've studied up to ND/HND and went ahead to a University to complete a bachelor's degree afterwards. (That bachelor's degree you get in the end of the program has ND/HND incorporated in it) I hope this helps. Good luck 1 Like |

Griot77: Hello there, I hope this is not too late 1. Yes, it is possible to apply to two schools at the same time using the same profile. 2. I think the school might be concerned if the money hasn't been in your account for up to 3months but since you'll be sending it to them to create a Norwegian bank account on your behalf, everything should be well in the end. 3. The gap shouldn't be an issue if you've detailed the reason for the gap in your SOP and it sounds like you've been working for most of those 12 years so you should be fine. 4. Advice that you stare off WhatsApp or Telegram channels as scam activities are easily perpetuated on eager Nigerians that want to travel by all means. Nairaland is the best for you, trust me. Information is never deleted and it's all in the open for everyone to see and learn from your steps in the nearest future. Good luck in all your endeavours 2 Likes |

Onychuke963: Equivalent? I don't know what you're trying to say but your WAEC result certificate is what the German University want you to send when they ask for your secondary school certificate. |

bchimezie20:Hopefully you won't get rejected. To answer your question, it takes between 3-6 weeks after your visa interview to get a reply from the embassy. |

Jenny2412:Your grade is not as bad as you think. But to stand out and get an admission, you'll need a strong motivation letter and good work experience (e.g 1yr experience as a teacher since you want to apply for "childhood studies". In the end, God works in wonderful ways. Wish you all the best in your application 2 Likes |

classicsuave:You're welcome. Just to reiterate, most schools that I know WILL ONLY CONSIDER YOUR APPLICATION if your Nigerian university send in your official transcript to their admission office either by mail or email (Even if you upload it online). So be sure to confirm. Good luck |

classicsuave:1. Most schools ask you to upload your transcript and also want your university here in Nigeria to send your official transcript to them by email or mail. That being said, you can only confirm for sure what your chosen school want by going through their admission process for your programme but if you are still not sure after doing that, contact your programme coordinator for clarity. 2. Yes you can. Just accompany the bank statement with a signed letter of proof of sponsorship by the owner of the account 1 Like |

Fortunia123: Since you're a category A applicant, you should have your visa before next semester starts so you'll be fine. Just enrol and continue classes online before that happens. You might even get your visa in time for exams this first semester if you hurry. And I doubt if they extend enrollment deadline but email your programme coordinator and ask. They might consider you |

Fortunia123:You can use form A which takes up to a month if not more. You can ask someone in German with a German bank account to pay for you and you'll send naira equivalent to them. If you have a dom acct however, you can pay with that too at the bank or on your bank app (e.g Access Bank) but the charges are around $40 for every international transaction so it depends on you. Takes a few days to reflect too NB: A banker once told me that I can bring foreign currency and pay into the account directly with the details provided but I haven't tried that before |

mygodisable000: Still think the 'easiest' German visa to obtain is the student visa. *That being said, you're the only one that can truly decide what you want for your own life, nobody can.* Considering that it takes between N6m - N8m to secure a German student visa and almost a year to process if you're a category B applicant, I'd advice you to double what you already have and if you want to pursue that. Staying in Nigeria is not the worst plan B you can have, so if you plan to go ahead with that and invest your money in a business here, make sure you're fully ready to commit to it because in business there will always be profit and loss. It all depends on you to manage it well. Wish you all the best in life 3 Likes |

Fortunia123:If you haven't applied for a German visa, please note that it takes up to a year to get visa appointment if you are a category B applicant and it takes few weeks if you are a category A applicant. With this in mind, if you are a category A applicant, you have no problem, just enroll and apply for your visa, you'll definitely get in time for the next semester at most. But if you are a category B applicant and your school can't defer your admission to next session, the probability of your visa being ready by next semester is slim. (You can risk it, enroll, start online classes for this semester and hope to get visa before next semester starts. The choice is yours) 1 Like |

Kultony:Thank you for your input and I would like to add that for those of us that fall under category B and already have the blocked account funds, I will suggest you make Norway part of your other plans (in case Germany doesn't work out) as the proof of funds is in a closer range to theirs and they also have lots of tuition free schools plus a "not-so-stressful" visa application process unlike with categories in the German embassy. PS: MAKE YOUR OWN RESEARCH before going ahead with this if you plan to 3 Likes 1 Share |

Divwake:From what I have noticed with this latest trend of "CATEGORY A & B", most people (if not all) in category A get dates within a month. But for category B, they only give dates after about a year, just that the dates are limited because most dates are given to category A. That means about 50% of people in this category will get dates. I understand the frustration but from my visit to the embassy last week, people from both categories were present for their respective visa interviews so definitely people are booked for visa interviews daily just that majority are in category A as they are more preferred. I wish everyone the best and let us work on other plans we have. For those that have waited close to a year or more and still haven't gotten a date, stay calm. You'll probably get your dates in a matter of days/weeks if you are among the lucky ones. STAY POSITIVE. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR GOD. We look forward to all your visa testimonies PS: I am not trying to bring anyone's spirit down but please let us be realistic and understand that the chances of being a category B applicant means you'll have to wait for a year to get dates and after all that, you probably have a 50% chance of getting an appointment date compared to category A that have 100% chance of getting dates within a month. 2 Likes |

Hello, I want to certify my academic certificate and transcript at the Ikeja High Court. What docs do I need to present to get this done? Is there a fee to be paid? If so, how much? Input is appreciated from everyone and especially those that have certified at the Ikeja High Court this year. Thank you |
