Normally, this should go viral... My niece, Kamsiyochukwu Obinwa, did us proud. After doing well last year during the NECO external exams which her school does use as a form of Mock Exams to get the students prepared for their WAEC and NECO main exams, she did amazing again on her first time writing JAMB with a Total score of 326. This she got after writing subjects like Maths, Physics and Chemistry.. JAMB scaled, we waited to see her WAEC result and it was nothing but excellent, imagine getting A1 in Further Mathematics, General Mathematics and Chemistry, B2 in English , Physics, Biology, and Economics in one sitting.... We give God the glory! Congratulations Kamsi❤️❤️❤️ Charles The Talking Pen ® 4 Likes

Politics / 24hrs Curfew Declared In Jos/Bukuru Metropolis Of Plateau State. by dreamzy(m): 3:14am On Aug 05 |
PLATEAU STATE GOVERNOR IMPOSES 24-HOUR CURFEW ON JOS/BUKURU METROPOLIS In a decisive move to enhance the security of lives and maintain public order, Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Jos/Bukuru Metropolis, effective from 12 midnight on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Governor Mutfwang, in consultation with state security agencies, took this decision after reviewing the actions of unscrupulous individuals who exploited the nationwide protest to unleash terror on innocent citizens. The governor noted that these criminal elements, armed with daggers, machetes, and other dangerous weapons, broke into shops and restaurants along Bauchi Road and Zololo Junction, looting foodstuffs and other valuable items. Governor Mutfwang emphasized that the curfew is in the best interest of all citizens and urged everyone to comply fully to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. He directed security agencies in the state to ensure the total enforcement of the curfew across Jos/Bukuru Metropolis. He warned those planning to unleash further terror on innocent citizens to desist immediately or face the full wrath of the law. The governor also called on the relevant security agencies to remain vigilant and proactive in their duties to prevent any potential disruptions to law and order. Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude to the citizens of Plateau State, particularly the clergy and imams, for their unwavering support of government's policies and programs. He acknowledged their cooperation and adherence to directives during the planned nationwide protest and praised their commitment to maintaining peace and unity. "The peaceful conduct of our people before, during, and after the nationwide protest is commendable. I urge everyone to continue to uphold this culture of peace as we work together to build a united and progressive Plateau," Governor Mutfwang added. Please Note: Any earlier statement should be disregarded as this is authentic. Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor of Plateau State. August 4, 2024.

A Jos based social media influencer, Charles Obinwa (Charles The Talking Pen), shared this story on his wall! *†*********************** Let's make this go viral.. Enough is Enough!!!!!! NSCDC personnel assaults woman in Jos, partially blinds her A yet-to-be-identified personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC on Friday assaulted a shop owner, Mrs. Joy Owolabi at the Nanmwa Junction, Abattoir area, Jos South local government area of Plateau State, leading to serious injuries on her eyes and other parts of her body. The incident happened a few meters away from the office of the organisation, although the victim had reported the incident, the organisation is yet to apprehend the personnel and his accomplice who assaulted her. Before the Friday incident, it was gathered that sometime last month, the said personnel (whom Mrs. Owolabi could identify facially as she does not know his name,) came to the betting shop next to the victim’s shop and parked his official motorcycle in front of Mrs Owolabi’s shop, blocking her entrance and she called his attention to re-park the motorcycle but she was ignored and an argument ensued. On that Friday, the personnel returned to the betting shop with his colleague and parked his motorcycle in the similar manner that the woman complained about. The incident led to an exchange of words between him and the shop owner. Instead of parking his motorcycle properly, the victim and some eyewitnesses confirmed, he punched the victim, pushed her to the ground and started flogging her with a wire as neighbours and passersby watch helplessly. None could rescue the woman as the assaulter and his colleague were armed. Narrating her ordeal, Mrs. Owolabi said, “I was in my shop on the 2nd of September, 2022, at about noon, I saw two men in uniform, they were from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, they rode into my shop. One stood by the roadside and the second one came to the entrance of my shop. “They came with an official motorcycle, when the man parked, blocking the entrance of my shop, I went and met him and said please, help me re-park this motorcycle because the way you parked, I cannot enter the shop. “My neighbour who is the Naijabet Manager also came out and saw the way the man parked the motorcycle; he started pleading with the man to re-park it. As we were talking, the man punched me in my left eye and I fell to the ground. “As I was trying to stand up, he punched me in the second eye. He removed the wire and started flogging me. They came in armed so people were afraid of coming to my rescue and when this thing was going on, people were just watching. “After flogging me, the two of them left with the motorcycle. When they left, I locked my shop and went to their office which is not far from my shop to report.” Another shop owner who did not want to be mentioned added, “This is somebody’s wife that this boy beat like an animal because he is wearing a uniform. We were scared of going close for fear of being shot. It appears that the boy is on something, apart from getting justice for the woman, he should be fished out and punished to save the woman in his life. It could be that is the manner he is flogging them at home.” He appealed that the NSCDC should not sweep the incident under the carpet in the guise of not being able to identify the culprit, saying, “the owner of the shop that he used to enter can help to identify him.” At the time of this report, the victim was still receiving treatment at a hospital in Jos as she is feeling severe pains all over her body. It was also gathered that the victim was asked to return on Monday as all personnel on a motorcycle would be presented for her to “identify” who assaulted her. However, the State NSCDC Public Relations Officer, DSC Madaki Longbit said he was not aware of the incident but would find out on Monday. His words, “I was not informed, Friday was a busy day for us and I was not at the Command but give me till Monday to confirm, I will get back to you. © Victor Daniel Charles The Talking Pen Let's push this to the Front page please! Justice must be done!

Crime / 8 Primary School Pupils Attack Their Class Monitor (Graphic pictures) by dreamzy(m): 3:50pm On May 27, 2022 |
This happened today at Bukuru, Jos South. Plateau State. 8 Primary School Pupils attack their Class monitor for writing their names in the "Noise Makers Book". A follower of my Page shared this images with me this afternoon. In his words, the Pupils who waylayed the monitor, threatened to kill and butcher him. He (The Monitor) gathered courage and got into a scuffle with them as he was faced with his death, until succour came his way when the Follower and some passersby noticed what was happening. The boys were given a hot pursuit and two of them were caught while the others escaped. The attack has been reported to their school situated around "Angwan Doki". This is so unfortunate. I wonder what would have become of this boy if help didn't come his way early. Charles The Talking Pen 1 Like 1 Share

A Facebook User Ujin Jossy - Bliss shared this story.. This is Abdul Isa,a fourteen hear old boy, resident in gangare metropolis of Jos North LGA of Plateau State. He was brutally beaten to this state by his Kawu (Uncle) by name Musa for stealing a neighbor's money summed to be #3,000. The said money was retrieved from him and given back to the owner. In my chat with him on his hospital bed where he's receiving treatment,he narrated the incident to me in hausa language. As a result of his condition,he was not accepted at the Plateau State Specialist Hospital,he was taken to a private hospital where he's being treated. He has stitches on his face, and swellings as a result of the assault on him. My question is,why treat this young lad like a hard core criminal when you're meant to be a father to him, seeing he lost his father at a tender age and also without a mother? What do you expect of a young boy as Abdul who has not been to school all his life but the street as his favorite spot? I want to call on all relevant authorities to endure Abdul Isa gets justice for this inhuman act perpetrated on him. The perpetrator is in custody of the NPF C Division in Jos North LGA of Plateau State. I really commend the effort of the inspector who insists on the boy's healthy recovery and justice for him too. And to the Doctors and Nurses who are up and about to see Abdul regain himself fully,I say kudos to you all. I feel the pain of this young lad,who was all teary as I conversed with him... I don't think he deserved this ill treatment meted on him by his uncle, let this serve as deterrence to everyone manhandling children in this manner. If you can't love them and treat them right ,or correct them as ought to, please leave them alone... Do unto them as you would want others to do yo you!

am just so disappointed with bet9ja. I applied for change of details. my phone number. so I can make withdrawals since yesterday. I mailed and called them more than 5x the keep telling me the have forwarded my complains to the technical team. but nothing has been done. it's not fair. it's scam. it's wickedness.. I had plans. I wanted to make withdrawals and solve issues but it seems your policy is never to allow your customers gain anything. maybe you expect me to bet all the funds in the account so you will be happy.. |
