Karleb:Exactly! She thought she could bag someone that is going abroad, her greed landed her in her current predicament. Pining over a man who will end up with either an akata or fat, old white lady that he will be a houshusband to, but will still divorce him and take half of his assets. |
Romance / Re: How My Edo Poly Lecturer Boyfriend Left Me With Twin Pregnancy To ‘japa’ by DrFunmisticGlow: 9:28am On Sep 30 |
I actually do not have pity for this lady. She chose to put herself in her current condition and chose to raise her children in poverty. When a man expresses a lack of interest in raising your pregnancy, you abort it. She chose to be stubborn about it and chose to abort her destiny by keeping the twins and being a single mom. Parenting is hard enough for 2 people not to talk of her alone. I hope to show young ladies that this where where 'God will provide' mindset will land you. Begging for money on social media and pursuing a deadbeat yoruba man. She would have graduated and have been job-hunting or opening her business, now she has to think of 2 extra mouths to feed. She is now a 3 in 1 burden to her parents who are supposed to be enjoying retirement. She should have chosen better. She could have met a better man who would love, marry her and start a family with her. CHOOSE BETTER LADIES!! PROTECT YOUR WOMB FROM DESTINY DESTROYER MEN! YOUR DESTINY IS IN YOUR HANDS! FIGHT AGAINST REPRODUCTIVE CORERCION! 1 Like |

Lalami3232:The reason why there were little single mothers was because men knew how to accept responsibility for their actions then. Not like men of today who want to have their cake and eat it. People were still having premarital sex then. Do not be deceived. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Education / Re: Unspeakable Thing About Medical Schools In Nigeria by DrFunmisticGlow: 9:48pm On Sep 13 |
jaephoenix:Now I understand. And I do work in a facility that doesn't have the services of a dietitian or more specialized services so yes I can speak for general side effects, diets and exercises or recommendations the average doctor should know and the ones I encounter along my practice and can give general advice. It is for the rarer cases I can pick a phone in front of my patient and tell them that I am calling an expert for advice. But overall, please there is no shame in googling symptoms (althoughthe way a medical professional will googlea symptom is very different from those without medical knowledge). It is a sign of humility and the intent to do no harm by realizing that you don't know everything. |
Education / Re: Unspeakable Thing About Medical Schools In Nigeria by DrFunmisticGlow: 7:14pm On Sep 13 |
jaephoenix:Yes and no. No one has all knowledge. That patients come to the hospital to see a doctor doesn't mean that it is only the doctor that is treating him/her. Actually a lot goes on behind the scenes and the patient is managed by a Healthcare team not just the doctor. The same way you watch a movie to see the actors, but there is a whole production team behind the scenes like producers, directors, prop team, costume designers and so on |

Education / Re: Unspeakable Thing About Medical Schools In Nigeria by DrFunmisticGlow: 9:08pm On Sep 12 |
jaephoenix:True because it happens to only a few people in the grand scheme of things. It is also not really our field of study but the real experts on side effects will be pharmacists and pharmacologists. They are who I consult for side effects especially the rarer ones. |
Education / Re: Unspeakable Thing About Medical Schools In Nigeria by DrFunmisticGlow: 9:03pm On Sep 12 |
bdon123:While that is true, a lot of patient come to the hospital saying that they have malaria and typhoid or craw craw, not knowing that based on their symptoms, it is worse than that. Just because the doctor has a poker face doesn't mean he is not suspect a more insidious diagnosis based on your "typhoid and malaria" symptoms From personal experience, one thing I google is drug dosages, especially for children, the amount of antibiotics syrup I will give to a newborn is different from what I will give to a one year old and a 3 year old. Although I can calculate a lot of figures from my head, I prefer a calculator for accuracy, besides another reason to Google is if a certain drug is safe for certain populations of people. I can never be caught dead giving, most hypertensive drugs, tetracycline or ciprofloxacin to a pregnant or nursing mother. Another instance where one needs to google is skin diseases, because they look different in black people than white people you see in medical textbooks. I have diagnosed many cases of Tuberculosis and HIV and 2 cases of leprosy, one patau syndrome and many more so far in my practice. Just by googling pictures. I also helped diagnose a woman who had spent over 3.8 million naira in what she and her previous doctors believed to be ulcer that she was suffering from only to question her further and realize that the lady symptoms were because she was going through MENOPAUSE. 3 Likes |

bdon123:it is better to check Google than to make a mistake on a patients body. Even old-fashioned doctors would pore through the references in front of patients. Nothing is wrong with looking online 30 Likes 2 Shares |
Health / Re: Updates From The New Massey Children's Hospital Construction In Lagos by DrFunmisticGlow: 4:59pm On Sep 11 |
LDaVinci:Convert that tax to the dollar or pound and you will see that it is little in the grand scheme of things where health is concerned. Hospitals cost money, staff cost money, to get decent standard equipment cost money, even research to discover new drugs and vaccines to treat the myriad of diseases plaguing hhumans cost millions and billions of dollars. So all that cost has to be recouped somehow. That is why Nigerians pay out of pocket for healthcare because even the subsided, substandard Healthcare that you are criticising is being paid for by someone. Yes good health is a basic human right, but Healthcare is a business, not a charity. |

Sonnobax15:Men that behave the way that guy did, deserve to be infertile for the rest of their life, they also deserve to never amount to anything, they also deserve to have no destiny helpers as long as they live. The truth is that even some the legit hustling guys are almost no different. Infact they are more insidious. |

Scientists:for example, let's say she has a rare case of rectovaginal fistula( where there is an abnormal connection between the Anus and vagina). if excrement can enter from the anus to the vagina, what's stopping sperm from anal sex traveling the same way and causing a pregnancy?
