When we say religion is one of the major problems, apart from politics, why Africa is backward nobody will agree. See this now. If you check around you, are not everything not satanic: the sign of the cross we make, the cross itself, ocultic symbols such as Bluetooth, WHO (World Health Organisation) logo, logos/emblems of cars, power button sign of our electronics, to mention but a few. So, the woman and her family should avoid associating with all the above and others, not just football. Their is a thin line between Ignorance and faith. AFRICA.

So, election has become pure mathematics. Is it not FFK that said GEJ will win PMB in 2015 by over 2 million vote margin based on his mathematical calculations and permutations?

With the dissatisfaction and poor performance PMB brought upon himself even his people in the North West will vote against him.

We don't want a president that declare "shoot at sight on ballot box snatchers" but kept quiet in the face of Fulani herdsmen (his foot-soldiers and kinsmen) slaughtering and butchering farmers across the country.

Buhari has never been so scares of election but this one.

"Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!

You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness.
You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former.
Mathew 23 Vs 23.

It means you should do justice, obey the law show mercy and faithfulness...Then Pay tithe.

Don't leave any of these ...

This is from Jesus Christ himself.

My question to you :
Are you are Pharisees or a Jew?
If yes then the woes are for you.
If no, then read Gal 3:10, and Gal 3:23-26

Show me just one verse from the Bible where Jesus or the Apostles collected or paid tithe?
Does it means they won't make heaven?
Christ is the end/purpose of the law. In Christ the law of Moses died. The law has done its job - to bring the Jews to Christ. Gal 3:23-26.

Atheist, Pagans, Hindus, Budhist etc. all count their words with their teeth before talking.

But this is so bad. He first conceived a foul idea, modified it in his mind and then took time packaging it to look presentable, and what turned out was: "bald headed foul"?. shocked shocked shocked Jesus Christ.

Freeze, a so-called pastor, one who wants to emancipate the sheep (mind you, Jesus Christ calls His followers sheep) from "religious slavery" with just that single post shows he either does not read his Bible, or has overlooked:

Matt 15:18-19 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Matt 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

1 Peter 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

Ps 34:13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Prov 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

Lord, Have Mercy!!!

Yes Jesus said some pretty mean things to people. Following is a list of things he said that were quite harsh. Take a look at these many verses spoken by Jesus.

Matt. 7:4, "You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye."
Matt. 15:7, "You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, 8 ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me." 9 ‘But in vain do they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’”
Matt. 23:13, "But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from men; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in."
Matt. 23:15, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites..."
Matt. 23:16-17, "Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, that is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated.’ 17 “You fools and blind men; which is more important, the gold, or the temple that sanctified the gold?"
Matt. 23:23-24, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cummin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others. 24 “You blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!"
Matt. 23:25, "“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!"
Matt. 23:27-28, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 "Even so you too outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness."
Matt. 23:29, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!"
Matt. 23:33, "You serpents, you brood of vipers, how shall you escape the sentence of hell?"
Mark 12:38-40, "Beware of the scribes who like to walk around in long robes, and like respectful greetings in the market places, 39 and chief seats in the synagogues, and places of honor at banquets, 40 who devour widows’ houses, and for appearance’s sake offer long prayers; these will receive greater condemnation."
Luke 11:39, "You foolish ones, did not He who made the outside make the inside also?"
Luke 11:43, "Woe to you Pharisees! For you love the front seats in the synagogues, and the respectful greetings in the market places. 44 “Woe to you! For you are like concealed tombs, and the people who walk over them are unaware of it."
Luke 11:52, "Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered."
Luke 12:1, "Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy."
John 8:44, "You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father..."
John 8:49, "I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me."
John 8:55, "and you have not come to know Him, but I know Him; and if I say that I do not know Him, I shall be a liar like you, but I do know Him, and keep His word."
It is obvious that Jesus, who is God in flesh, the great loving teacher, also said some pretty harsh things to people. He called them hypocrites, fools, blind people, blind guides, whitewashed tombs, lawless, of their father the devil, and liars.

Why would Jesus be so harshly people? He did this because he hated their sin and despised those who hindered others from coming to saving relationship with him. Remember, saying harsh things to people is not wrong. But what is said needs to be true and tempered with wisdom. We need to be careful when we speak harshly and we need to attempt to be loving and kind whenever possible. But it is not wrong, in and of itself, to speak the truth when dealing with peoples' rebellion against God.

Before we bury Freeze: Let us study the scripture.

So many abuses and curses are being hurled against Freeze because he called "A man of God" bald headed screeching fowl.
Are these words worse than the instances below as found in the Bible?

The issue of age should not even arise here. Reasons: Jesus was just 30-33 years old when he started confronting the teachers of the Law and the status quo.
How old were the scribes and pharisees? 20,30,40? No. They were in their 60s,70s, 80s.

Jesus calling the teachers of the Law Snakes/vipers:
Matthew 12:34 (KJV)
34. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Paul Confronts Peter:
Galatians 2:11-13(NLT)
11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong.

Jesus cursed the Scribes and Pharisees:
"But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!".....
“Woe to you, blind guides,......

Age is Not the Issue here, but the Truth in Love.
How old was Jesus when He started questioning the teachers of the law?
Luke 2:41-52 (ESV)
46 After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.
47 And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.

So, freeze is taking the foot-steps of Jesus, and our first Apostles. How they challenged authorities and customs of men.

This is not the time of respect but Truth. It is time to enmacipate ourselves from mental slavery.

God has not given us (Christians) the spirit of fear:
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

For sometimes now, have been hearing prominent people in Nigeria clamoring for restructuring here and there.... Poor me I couldn't understand the merits to our country
Can anyone please educate me
Share the advantages and disadvantages to Nigeria Economy.

Restructuring means re-organising, repositioning or re-constituting a body, institution or even a business for better performance.

Nigeria should be restructured in the following areas:
1. Federating units (state government) should control their resources.
2. The Federating units should allocate 13% of their revenue to the federal central govt, against the present structure.
3. States should have and control their own police, as is done in USA.
4. Power generation, distribution should be left in the hands of the Federating units/regions.
5.The federal government should be in charge of currency printing, stabilization and exchange rate control.
6. The education system should be in the hands of the Federating units.
7. Religion should be separated from the state/government.
8. A new constitution should be drafted and implemented.
9. No political office holder should seek medical care abroad.
10. No political office holder should have a private power generating plant.
11. Children of political office holders should be schooled within their states along others' children

Politics / Re: What Buhari Told Me On Biafra Agitation – Gov Umahi by dsealofGod(m): 5:37pm On Oct 07, 2017
AYLiveSHows:

Recently, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state and Chairman, South East Governors’ Forum, travelled with President Buhari to New York to attend the UN General Assembly. In this interaction covered by our correspondent, OBINNA ODOGWU, the Governor revealed the details of his private discussions with Buhari on Biafra agitation as well as the President’s response.

Hate speeches seem to be the order of the day in Nigeria. What is the Ebonyi State Government doing to curb the menace?

We have a very important law we are going to make and that will be on hate speeches. You will have to prove henceforth whatever allegations you put forward, whether it is on the social media or on the pages of newspaper. We are going to make the law so that when you are accusing anybody you will have to prove it. We will create a department that will be in charge of that so that we regulate hate speeches in the state.

Already, Kaduna state did it and I told the Governor, please export whatever you have in Kaduna and bring here. What is pulling this country down is our mouths and mindset. People just sit down at one corner and start to destroy people and cook up all kinds of things you cannot prove. We know that this is democracy but he that comments must prove his or her point and we must insist on that. The courts are there to prove our points and strengthen democracy. Anybody who stays at the corners of his/her house to accuse you, that person must be fished out to prove it.

From all indications, the country will soon be restructured in view of the clamour all over the nation. How prepared are South East states?

Very soon, there will be no more money coming from Abuja, it will happen just suddenly. If they just say okay let us do restructuring and of course the North is doing greatly very well, how do we survive? North has a lot of opportunities, they are moving into agriculture.

And so some people see restructuring as a dream that may not come to pass. If they say we must restructure and let every region harness its resources and keep it, bring 50% of it to the centre, 30% to common pocket to be redistributed and 20% to the federal government. The question is: what are we going to bring to the centre? But this is one of the aspects of restructuring and so we must wake up. I will continue to shout it, we must hear that and I am happy the President commended Ebonyi state in agriculture and fertilizer. One of my fights in this state is such that the Abakaliki rice would not be dimmed because it is known all over the world. But we have to do different things if we must excel. We have improved in agriculture actually but we have not reached our destination and we must get to the destination in rice production in this country.

What can you say about the ongoing agitations in the South-East region for the actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra and the recent proscription of IPOB?

I want to thank the Governors of South-East and the North for their efforts in ending the ugly incident that occurred recently. Let me assure Nigerians that Mr. President has heard you and he is going to address all the issues raised. There is no need to continue insulting our leaders and abusing other tribes. No need trying to pose danger to the existence of our people. We are not untrustworthy people. We are very, very trustworthy. We are hardworking and well cultured people and so, we have made our points.

I had private discussion with Mr. President in New York and I want to assure the South-Easterners that the President will address all our problems. Nigeria is going to see peace. We are stronger when we are bigger. Let me also tell our people that we are playing too much politics. It is only in the South-East that you see petitions that they are piling in the EFCC. Everything is now about politics and we left our hard work for politics.

As the incumbent and 3rd civilian Governor of Ebonyi State since its creation 21 years ago, what efforts have you made in living up to the dreams of the founding fathers?

In our efforts to create a new Ebonyi State of the dreams of our founding fathers, we christened the platform upon which God brought us to leadership and raised us so high above distractions through the divine mandate. We remain grateful to God. We can humbly say that we have achieved a lot through God’s divine mandate within the two years of our administration. We have kept hope alive and delivered on our campaign promises despite obstacles that have stirred us and still stirring us in the face, but we are surmounting most of them.

Undoubtedly, this year’s celebration for us as a people is an important juncture in the annals of our statehood; because, we have worked hard to bring development to our state.

In the previous years, we have devoted this celebration to enumerating our collective challenges in which insecurity had formed the major challenge. But today, we have modified this annual event such that it has become a convention for our collective achievements. We have kept hope alive and tackled our challenges as a people who are destined to succeed.

Let me emphasize that the dream of our founding fathers was that should Ebonyi State be created; it will survive based on the human and mineral resources that God endowed us with. It is important that we know how far we have harnessed these resources that God gave to us.

Hate speech is one of the tools used by PMB before, during and after all his elections in history. Why does he want to stop it now? Is he scared of being used against him in the coming elections?

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Religion / Re: As A Christian, Is Court Wedding In Place Of Church Wedding Acceptable By God? by dsealofGod(m): 11:31am On Sep 10, 2017
safarigirl:
white wedding is the original name. Not even church wedding

And white wedding is the western version of a traditional marriage. That is why the girl's FATHER walks her down the aisle and hands her over to the man. That is why the official asks 'does anyone have a reason why these two should not be joined in matrimony'?

It is a traditional wedding that misled black people have adopted as God's wedding. Not everything white people do has God attached to it

History of White wedding

white wedding is a traditional formal or semi-formal wedding originating in Britain.

The term originates from the white colour of the wedding dress, which first became popular with Victorian era elites after Queen Victoria wore a white lace dress at her wedding. However, the term now also encapsulates the entire Western wedding routine, especially in the Christian religious tradition, which generally includes a ceremony during which the marriage begins, followed by a reception.

Visit https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_wedding for more details.

Question: the marriage attended by Jesus at Cana, was it white, traditional or church wedding?

It is a Hebrew traditional wedding, not church nor court, or any other.

We African, we also have our own traditional marriage/wedding which is fully recognised by God (particularly, if devoid of fetishism). As far as both families if the couple have agreed to such marriage and the necessary bride price has been paid, such marriage has been contracted, accepted in the eye of God and man.

All these so-call white wedding (so called because of the dress code of the day), court (legal marriage) or church wedding were brought to us by the white after calling us monkeys, people of low mentality, and inferior to them (the white).

We should stick to our African beautiful culture.

67.2 Billion that could have built world class specialist hospitals in all the States in Nigeria.

67.2 Billion that could have revamped our refineries.

67.2 Billion that could have built good roads around the Country, especially those bad roads in the East.

67.2 Billion that could have equipped our Military to be one of the best in the world.

67.2 Billion that could have touched everybody's life one way or the other in Nigeria.

But what happened?Goodluck Jonathan led a very organized crime ring,to KILL and BURY Nigeria.

About 15 people stole what belongs to almost 200 Million people.

If you are still supporting the last Government. Just walk slowly to the "Mirror" in your bathroom, and very slowly whisper to yourself " I was Born a Fool"

Then come back to this thread ,and look at the amount again "67.2 Billion" and then repeat the " I was Born a fool" again.

GEJ was very corrupt compared to previous leaders. on the contrary, PMB is very innocent and upright that he has recovered 7trillion tru TSA, money that is enough to finance our 2017 budget, undisclosed amount of recovered loots since the war against corruption begins, yet he still wants to borrow money. Itse Sagay had before now given Lawal (SGF), Magu, Burutai, a clean slate absorbing them of any corruption activities. Now that Lawal has been sacked by PMB, is Sagay guilty of or covering corruption? Don't u think the Sagay Anti- Corruption Committee be devolved since they are covering evil? When PMB leaves office today his administration will also be probed remember! It is then we will see who is more corrupt between GEJ and PMB.

Career / Re: Degrees Are No Longer Enough: It's Time To Learn A Skill! by dsealofGod(m): 2:51pm On Sep 25, 2015
dearpreye:
Today, and once again, I'm writing on a very familiar issue. Degrees are outrightly overrated - especially down here in Nigeria.

This system churns out thousands of graduates every single year, and almost all of these graduates have the same mindset of seeking and getting a job somewhere. Whether or not we accept it, the JOB MARKET is overcrowded and government won't give everyone a job. Actually every serious government should be more concerned with creating a supportive and enabling environment than creating jobs for its people.

Every individual has a talent and a passion, and their wealth and fame lies in their vigorous pursuit of those passions and talents.

It's about time everyone begins learning a skill OR start to develop some latent ability within them. There's nothing wrong with adding a skill to your degree. It could be learning plumbing, professional driving, wiring a house, tailoring, selling, carpentry, painting, fashion designing, etc, or it could developing some soft skills like becoming a great communicator, writer, or even becoming a motivational speaker or personal development expert.

I had gone to give a safety briefing to some contractors and other management staff this day. After the briefing, one of the managers approached me, appreciated the manner of the talk and asked, " are you a motivational speaker?". Of course I sad NO. And she enthused I would make a good speaker if I could put my heart into it.

I laughed away the talk, but the speech replayed later in my mind as I was preparing to retire to bed in the evening. I Googled on the topic and started to read almost all the materials that came up. That was how I started on the journey to personal development and motivational speaking.

Last week, I went to give a give a talk to some youths. Although I refused to take a dime but I left there very fulfilled and I know I'm on my way to adding another skill to my skill pool. In this era, there's no limit to the skills we can acquire.

At the moment, an old man is fixing some plumbing works for me. As we talked, he told me how he's been looking for youths to assist in learning that skill, but none has shown any interest.

As an undergraduate, you can still make plans towards learning a skill while on campus. Skill is the way forward. No great nation ever took skill development for granted. It's time to learn a skill. Any skill can be a temporal source of income. Men are losing their jobs; competition is fiercer now than ever. Even if you're seeking to be the best in your chosen field, you can still add a skill. Any skill.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day.

Lalasticalala, good morning.

That is straight and simple talk my broda. The Nigeria situation is moving frm bad to worse. As for me, I read Geography n Environmental Mgt but today I am teaching Information n Communication Technology in a renown private school. A skill I acquired wen in school.

The formula of "Go to school, get a good grade and get a good job" is no longer working. But "Go to school, get a grade and setup a system or buy one, so that you can even employ professors to work for u....." The first formula will prepare you to look for job while d second will prepare you to create a job and employ others...

APC should not think that all is now well wit them. those defecting to APC shouting "change", "change" are the same corrupt Nigerians. They are just changing their clothing not their character. A Nigerian is a Nigerian anywhere.

As I always say:

GEJ is not the best neither is GMB better.

GMB cannot be a moralist in an immoral environment.

Those bringing GMB to power are all selfish, corrupt and greedy people. so GMB cannot bite the fingers feeding him in the name of fighting corruption.

Those surrounding GMB will not make him see the light of the day........let keep our fingers crossed.
