Well,my own summation from this their programme is that they don t have a place for people with "innovative ideas" contrary to the whole nature when it was started. I taught they were looking for "creative and innovative ideas" which with time will transform into a very profitable business and employ people. Rather,they have decided to select people who have chosen "everyday business" in which some people have even forged and lied about their T/Os. I have put it behind me now though,but I doubt if this govt can achieve the aim of this programme if they keep going about their selections this way.Those panel interviewers are suppose to be very learned business professionals and practitioners.

edundayo: Did a critical review of my interview with the panelists today and I'm kind of glad it went it way it did because it's an eye opener.

Actually, the panelists categorically expressed how glad they were with my passion for the business and what I'm currently doing but they just wasn't impressed with the currently level of cashflow as against the amount I forecast for the next 12 months, to just the amount of grant applied for.
I would have agree with them in saying they don't believe that the income forecast is feasible for my market, but that's because they were looking at it from a too narrow minded perspective and their unwillingness to listen denied us both the expose of the strategy through which I plan to make it happen.
I really don't know for these YouWiN panelists but if you ask me I'd say I'm wowed how any entrepreneur or business person of their calibre "in this century" would be so resistance to the idea of "multiple streams of income".

And they said the idea of YouWiN is to create jobs and they wanted us to start on a such a meager levels? They gotta be kidding me!
I'm foreseeing a much lower level of job creation for this YouWiN 3 if they go around over cutting the amount applicants are applying for.....imho

I wonder o.That was how one of the panelists asked me what was wrong with my car when I told them I was getting a delivery van even after I told them I currently have 6 staff and will be employing 8 more before the year runs out. I dont think Dangote self will be this rigid if I he was giving me his cash.

I also heard from unconfirmed sources yesterday at the venue that the number of winners have been increased to 3,100 though I could not verify the gist but I feel its possible because of the upcoming elections. Afterall,the older citizens got a share of d national largese frm d national conference,so why not d youths from a productive initiative as youwin! ?

From my experience today,I think appraisal and awards should not be based on the views of these panelists alone as some of them are myopic and appear not happy that one is requesting for the money.I was interviewed by panel 7,the other 3 panelists not bad though. All in all,it was a nice 1.

Hello fellow winners.I actually applied for the youwin pro gramme as an existing business but recently had to do a fresh reg because the object clause on my previous business name is not same as what I entered the competition with.For anyone with the interview experience, since its not up to a month I did the registration,will they still ask for my tax clearance and is it possible for me to use a tax clearance of my other business?Thank you in anticipation.My interview is in Abuja on 26th.....please a good samaritan help out
