Sienna's story just took the words outta my mouth. so many times we are oblivious of who we really are and the kind of actions we are capable of taking in real life situations. questions like this are very easily answered albeit without proper evaluation of actual consequences. As a matter of fact I would prefer to answer in the negative then find out I can actually put up with it in real life. Let's not even talk about the fact that we are Nigerians and like it or not our culture has a way of reaching us no matter how hard we try to eschew it from our lives. It's when you are married that you will begin to notice babies. How musical their cries can sound, how cute they look, how funny they can be...There is no end to that list and like that Nigerian musician will say 'my own na my own'(That's with reference to adoption). If you're a woman, you will want to feel the pains of child birth. If you're a man, you would want to care for a pregnant wife and have her insult you at child birth. Abeg make una leave that thing. 3 Likes |

I'll miss having to tour this country to bits and becoming a stranger where I once called home. I wonder how we expect to build a country when we hate ourselves this much. Reading what y'all have to say makes me wanna travel into your past and witness the events that nurtured you into such determined tribalists. Take it from me that with this mind set, even if your family were to become a country, you would still have a thousand reasons to be divided and discriminate against one another. ndo nu 3 Likes |

@ ifems I can feel ur pain and you are not entirely wrong. developing all sectors simultaneously does not mean building all roads simultaneously or developing all places. There are groupings for these things and when you mention rural, it stands for every rural place within the state. It's a big project oh, developing that much at once. its just easier to criticize when ur outside the government and we are all guilty of that. Do you deny that there is a big erosion site that has been fixed in that same axis of which you now speak? These things are prioritised. Some projects are more important for the well being of a state than the others. If you think that the government had not treated you well, I welcome you to cross the River. Go into Anambra West and I promise you you'll understand. so calm down .Peter can not do it all. But if his successors work as well as he has, before long we will be singing a new song. I used to criticize him thoroughly but am equally well travelled within that state, I know it well so when I began to see, I had to appreciate the man. bear in mind also that Awka North cannot produce half of the food that comes from Anambra West. |

Nairaland is a good representation of the Nigerian populace. Any study that uses nairalanders as a sample population, would be valid and reliable. Haven said that, given the conclusion reached by a good number of people here after reading unambiguous and self explanatory passages, I can't help but shiver and be scared for our future. The times are turbulent as it is but with this breed... |
