Politics / Buhari In Imo, Promises To Tackle Insecurity by edeani: 5:21pm On Mar 10, 2011 |
I JUST DEY LAUGH ALL THIS MAN IS PROMISING IN SOLVING SECURITY PROBLEM AS IF THAT IS OUR ONLY PROBLEM, A SOLDIER'S MENTALITY SHA, The presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), General Muhammadu Buhari says he would tackle the problem of insecurity in the country if voted into power saying, foreign investors no longer invest in the country because of insecurity. Buhari who made the declaration yesterday during the party’s presidential flag off campaign for the South east geo-political zone in Owerri stated that the CPC led government would provide adequate security to every part of the country even as he dismissed claims by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) administration that there was influx of investments into the country. The Kastina born General cum politician was accompanied to the rally by his running mate, Pastor Tunde Bukare regretted that many Nigerians now buy water to drink where the country is getting enough revenue to provide social services to the people. He said lack of adequate infrastructure many companies have either close shops or relocated to other neighbouring West African states pointing out that if there is power people would be able to be fully engaged to look after themselves and their families as well as less crime in the country. He therefore urged the people organized themselves in their various localities in order to guide their votes to avoid the repeat of the past. Speaking earlier, the presidential running mate of the party, Pastor Tunde Bakare said that the 2011 polls would be between honest men and dishonest men and urged Nigerians to shine their eyes to reject those who cannot keep simple promises. He said “ the contest this time around is not like 2003, 2007;” the contest is not between CPC and PDP but it is between honest men and dishonest men. It’s more than party politics. Nigerians, you have to shine your eyes because election 2011 is between promise keepers and promise breakers; it’s between corrupt, and incorrupt group.” We can no longer leave the destiny of our nation in the hands of those who cannot keep simple promises http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/mar/09/national-9-03-2011-012.htm |
