This woman has has been accused of hiding two dead babies in her freezer for years after a shocking discovery in Germany this week.
According to Metro UK, the frozen bodies were found in a home in the German town of Benndorf, Saxony-Anhalt.
The ex-boyfriend of the 46-year-old woman, who can be only identified as Steffi S due to German media laws, tipped off the police about the gruesome contents of her freezer.
The ex, Uwe W, phoned the police and said: ‘At my ex-girlfriend’s house lies a dead infant.’
When police raided the house they found two frozen corpses in the freezer.
Police spokesman Ralf Karlstedt said: ‘We assume that the occupant of the house is the mother. We cannot rule out a crime. Post-mortems on the two bodies will be carried out.’
Steffi S, who lives with her 15-year-old daughter Selina in the house, was taken into investigative custody after the gruesome find but later released.
Chief prosecutor Heike Geyer added: ‘So far, there is an initial suspicion of a crime, but we still do not know whether there actually was a crime. That does not justify investigative custody.’
The shocking find left neighbours in disbelief.

A 45-year-old carpenter, John Ulaha has reportedly impregnated his mother in-law.

Ulaha, a native of Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, is currently living in regrets following his shameful act.

It was gather that his wife, Victoria, blessed with a daughter, lived in Lafia where she manages a provision store while her husband runs a carpentry workshop. But by way of augmenting their incomes, they are heavily involved in farming activities in Awe, where they hire labourers to work on their farms.

However, things fell apart after the implementation of anti-grazing law in Benue State pushed over 85% of Fulani herdsmen from Benue to settle in Awe, as they started destroying, at an alarming rate, farmlands belonging to others.

This situation made Victoria to invite her mother who is a widow to come over and help her husband harvest their farm produce of yam and guinea corn since she was very busy with her shop business in Lafia.

In the course of time, sometime in mid-September 2017, John and his mother-in-law, Mrs. Ashetu Igbasue, 42, relocated to Awe in order to fast-track their harvesting.

Amazingly, three months after, Victoria was shocked to know that her mother was heavily pregnant for her husband.

“I’m distressed, I don’t know how to handle this matter,” Victoria told Saturday Sun.

“I got married to my husband nine years ago. The marriage is blessed with a baby girl and my mother used to come around to spend some time with us especially when she lost her husband.

“But this time around, I personally requested that she should come and help us do some work on the farm. Since then she had been in the village with my husband helping on the farm, though both of them used to come to Lafia regularly to pick supplies and go back because they were determined to evacuate all crops from the farm to the house before herdsmen could come to destroy them.

“There was a time my husband came to Lafia to get some cooking ingredients and I asked him whether they were feeding well. He told me lightheartedly that my mother’s cooking was more delicious than mine. I did not suspect anything bad. I believed my husband. And, moreover, the woman in question is my mother, not a rival.”

“The last time my mother came to Lafia from my husband’s village, she shockingly told me that she did not see her period for the first and second month running which implies that she is pregnant and said that my husband is responsible for it. She said she wants it aborted because it would be a shameful thing for her to be pregnant at her age when her husband is not alive.

“I invited her to come and assist me to take care of our farm work since Fulani people have been destroying it, but I did not know that my husband had established a love relationship with her. She confessed to me that my husband was responsible for her pregnancy,” she said.

Expressing her disappointment at her husband’s behaviour, Victoria remarked: “It would have been better for him to get a second wife who will be stationed at home or even look for a girlfriend to satisfy him in my absence rather than going into a love affair with my own mother; it is a very shameful thing and an abomination of the highest order; it is wrong.”

The mother-in-law, Mrs. Igbasue, on her part said that it all started in the farm during a joke which led to sex later in the night when they returned from the farm.

“I agreed to his demand for sex and thought it was just to satisfy his sexual feelings, but somehow, it became a daily thing,” she confessed.

“I never thought I could get pregnant due to my age. I told my daughter the truth so that we can get a solution to it and out of anger she went public with it. I have since regretted my action. My intention is to find a way and abort it. My daughter earlier agreed to look for somebody to abort it for me because I can’t keep it. The whole thing was temptation and I completely regret it. I have pleaded for forgiveness from her,” she added.

John on his part admitted that he has deeply offended God as well as his wife for going too far by sleeping with his mother-in-law to extent of getting her pregnant, adding that the pregnancy won’t stand as he will do his best by pleading with his wife to accept aborting it.

“I have regretted what happened. It is not in my character and the shame this very act has brought to me, my wife and the entire village as well as those who know me is unbearable,” he lamented.

“Since my wife leaked this out, I have not been comfortable and have lost appetite for food. I have been pleading with her to forgive me because it is the devil’s work,” he said.

new Igbo socio-political group, the Igbo Ekunie Initiative, has emerged.

They came with advice to President Muhammadu Buhari to engage self determination groups in Nigeria in a fruitful dialogue that would ultimately address their grievances and permanently end agitations in the country.

The group, which had existed for about two years in the Diaspora, apparently came out in the open to fill the gap created by the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

President of the group, Mazi Tochukwu Ezeoke, who spoke with reporters in Awka, however observed that violence and marching on the streets would not achieve any objective, insisting that dialogue remained the best approach.

He said:-

We, the Igbo Ekunie Initiative, submit that time has come for a fundamental restructuring of the Nigerian state to a structure and system that provides optimal governance that meets the needs of the populace and allows each region develop at their pace.

“We note that the fundamentals of restructuring suffer no conflict as all proponents virtually agree that more control/autonomy in all facets should be given to the states and regions as the case may be.”

“Government systems should also be modified and streamlined for more effective governance such that there should be rotation of power for purposes of nation building.

“Efforts should also be made to eliminate corruption and security enhanced so that development and welfare of the citizenry should be the clear and unambiguous goal of government at all levels.”

He described as an irony the federal government’s proscription of IPOB, while, according to him, the same government was treating the killer Fulani herdsmen with kids glove, despite the pains they were inflicting on the people.

He said further: “2019 general election is around the corner and it is time for government to take decision. Herdsmen cannot be killing our people and somebody would be looking the other way, but had to proscribe IPOB that is innocuous. It is unacceptable.

“We call for immediate withdrawal of all charges against IPOB members and the unconditional release of all their detained members.

“In a democratic and heterogeneous state, dialogue should be championed above repression as that is the only way to achieve lasting peace.

“It is unfortunate that President Buhari’s government is returning Nigeria to full blown marginalization and vexed politics of exclusion.

Ezeoke said it was obvious that the status quo was unsustainable; adding that attempting to retain it was at best, suicidal.

ABUJA – MINISTER of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has told the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to wake up to his responsibility by protecting citizens and residents of the State instead of encouraging militants in the name of playing politics.

Amaechi lamented that about 21 persons from Omoku alone and another two from Akutoru were killed in the New Year eve on their way back from a Cross Over service, Sunday, alleging that killings had become the order of the day in the local government areas of the State.
The Minister said there should be much more than age to qualify to be a governor.
Amaechi who was answering questions from State House Correspondents on the alleged killings in the state on Sunday, after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, advised Governor Wike to get a bit more serious with governance and stop encouraging the militant groups in the name of politics and election.
He urged Governor Wike to jettison his PDP (Peoples Democratic Party) verses APC (All Progressives Congress) disposition and work hard to provide dividends of democracy for Rivers people or quit the office.
He said, ”I think the governor needs to get a bit more serious, he should stop encouraging the militant groups in the name of politics and election. You heard about 21 only in Omoku, what about in Akutoru where two person were killed, what about other LGA. I think there should be much more than age to qualify to be a governor because it takes much more than age.
“I was governor of Rivers State, I did not play PDP/APC politics, life is life it has no symbol. Nobody has APC life or PDP life. The first responsibility of a governor which is what the oath of office requires, is that you swear to protect lives and property.
“When you don’t protect life and property what do you do? Is impeachment.

Unfortunately there is no House of Assembly in Rivers State.”
He advised Governor Woke to focus on human capacity development as against what he described as “noise” currently emanating from his administration.
He said, “Too much noise coming from Rivers State, the governor just wakes up and starts shouting, abusing people that’s all he does. Mr. Project painting roads, the first thing you do is human capacity development and keeping human beings and we are losing lives every day.
“Two important men were kidnapped before I left Port Harcourt, the first person is Chief Adoke till today, nearly one month after nobody can tell you where he is. The next person is Chief Omagh.

He was kidnapped luckily the villagers ran after the people and rescued the old man from the bush.
“It never happened when I was governor. We (the security and myself) ensured that we will not sleep at night. We stayed awake for the citizens to sleep, I think the governor needs to do much more than that or quit the office.”

On what he thought was lacking in Wike, he said, “I just don’t know
because the things are there for him to work with. He is not like me that during my second term, President Goodluck Jonathan took away Police, SSS, (Department of State Services) the Army Brigade Commander. They couldn’t visit me. But in his case, everyone is disposed to him.

“He can see the Commissioner of Police, Director SSS, unlike my period, but we fought insecurity. But because he needs these people for election purpose that is why they are still there, that is why they are killing we need much more than that.

“I swore not to be talking about Rivers anymore but you don’t keep quite in the face of 21 lives, you can’t just keep quite.

“I have said it that nobody should criticize his successor, let him do his beat. But a successor that watches the lives of people go like that and does not care? God will bless him.”

On his mission at the Presidential Villa, he said he came to the State House, to discuss with President Buhari on the planned commissioning of 10 new coaches and two locomotives for the Kaduna-Abuja train service tomorrow.
The Minister said the commissioning will bring the total number of coaches to 14 on the Kaduna-Abuja route.

He also revealed government plan to increase rail transportation fare on the Kaduna-Abuja route.
The minister explained that the arrangement will be able to discharge the passengers’ pressure on the rail transport and halt the incidence of ticket racketeering.

His said, “When demand outstrips supply then you see all sorts of attempts to cheats the passengers. There are two things I know the president likes, I have mentioned one.
“The second one, is after commissioning even the passengers agree that the cost of transportation to kaduna via the railway is a bit too cheap. So, there will be a need to increase the price of the cost and then there will be more comfort.

“More comfort in the sense that when you have excess seats multiply by the number of passengers that will come, then anybody that wants to racketeer will have to eat the tickets himself.”
The minister who declined to disclose the new fare on the route said one of the locomotives will be dedicated for a non-stop direct trip from Kaduna to Abuja.
According to him, “That should be doing 1:15 or 1:20 minutes non-stop. That will enable those living in Kaduna and working in Abuja to actually come to work on time. If you leave at 6am by 7:15, 7:20 you should be in Abuja.”

Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly is set to lock horns with other politicians for presidential race at God’s appointed time.

Mr Bakare, who was a Vice Presidential candidate to incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari, said he had been directed by God to contest.

According to Punch, Mr Bakare said God has told him not to end his political career as he had earlier contemplated.

Mr Bakare, in 2011 contested as the vice-presidential candidate on the platform of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC.

He said God told him to run for the Presidency.

The Lagos-based cleric spoke in the early hours of Monday during the watch night service at the Latter Rain Assembly in the Ogba area of Lagos.

Contesting the presidential election of one of the 12 things God revealed would happen in 2018, he said.

Mr Bakare explained that God had not told him when the “appointed time” to run for the presidency would be.

“This twelfth one is a difficult one for me. It may draw excitement or condemnation. I have tried my best to keep it (to myself) but the Holy Spirit will not allow me to do so.

“In my study around 4 am on Sunday morning, God told me ‘you cannot bring your political career to a close; there is still more to do. Run for the Presidency. I will do it at the appointed time,” the pastor added.

Mr Bakare declared that he was unfazed by the daunting task that his aspiration might pose, expressing confidence that once the Lord had spoken, it was left for God to perform it.

“Joseph (in the Bible) did not contest an election; yet, he became the prime minister of Egypt. Why must I worry myself about where to get the resources for the task? Your own duty in this assignment is to pray along with me. When it is the appointed time, He (God) will do it. When He tells me the time, you will hear about it,” he stated.

Mr Bakare said that most “political juggernauts” in the country would fall “at the feet of women in 2018”.

“In 1998, I told you that I saw your President dying between two women. Did it happen? I’m telling you again: some of these political juggernauts will fall at the feet of women and you will see it happen,” he said.

BENIN CITY-THE Edo state police Command has arrested a driver identified as Samson who allegedly killed his boss and dumped his body in a tank at Ekiadolor, Ovia North East Local government Area of Edo state. Two other suspects were also arrested in connection with the killing.
Vanguard gathered that Samson was said to have sold the vehicle of his boss to a herbalist at Ovbiogie village and told his children that their father was kidnapped. According to a police source, ¨ the suspect after selling the car informed the victim’s children who are based abroad that the supposed kidnappers were demanding for the sum of N2m.

¨He collected the money from the children and promised that their father would be released soon¨.It was learnt however that when the victim´s relations visited his residence, they found the decomposing body of their brother in a tank.

It was gathered that luck ran against the suspect when he went for the balance N500,000 with which he sold the car to the herbalist that he was apprehended by policemen attached to Ekiadolor police station, Benin City. A police source told Vanguard that the corpse had been recovered while three suspects are being interrogated.
Spokesman of the Edo state Police Command, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, who was contacted, said he will get in-touch with the Ekiadolor police station so he can be properly briefed.

ILORIN-Irates youths in Taiwo area of Ilorin while performing annual youths Carnival in the area on the eve of new year clashed with religion worshippers during which three persons sustained serious injuries while vehicles and other domestic properties worth millions of naira were destroyed.

Kwara police command in a swift reaction yesterday afternoon claimed it had so far arrested ten persons in connection with the incident.
Also,Govennor Abdulfatah Ahmed in his reaction condemned the action of the youths describing it as criminal and ordered the police to launch manhunt to nab the perpetrators.
Vanguard reliably gathered that suspected youths in Taiwo metropolis of Ilorin had gone on rampage to celebrate the carnival despite their refusal by the leaders of the area not to go ahead with the carnival on the eve night of the new year in the area.

Eye witness account who sought anonymity, told our correspondent that, the Christians worshippers at Methodist and other churches in the area and Muslims faithful under the aegis of Quareeb Muslim Society that were having their new year eve at one of the Secondary school at Taiwo were seriously attacked by the youths during which three persons were wounded and properties destroyed.

Meantime, the state police command in a statement issued yesterday described the incident as unfortunate.

The statement which was signed by the state police command Public Relations, Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ajayi Okasanmi said that, the police command has arrested 10 suspected youths in connection with the attack.
He also said that, three people sustained serious injuries during the attack while they were receiving medical attention in one of the private hospitals in Ilorin..
Okasanmi stressed that, “ It is important to note, that the attack has no religious undertone. It is simple an unlawful act by the disgruntled youths of the area, as both the Christian and Muslim gatherings in the area”.
He noted further that, the state police command has commenced full investigations into the act adding that, anybody found culpable in the act would face the full wrath of the law.
He therefore admonished the people of the state to continue to embark on their lawful assignment and assured that the police command would continue to be alive to its responsibility in order to ensure full maintenance of law and order.
Also Gov Ahmed in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahaab Oba described the dastardly attack as criminal, satanic and alien to the state.
Governor Ahmed, who hailed those who made efforts to protect some of the victims regardless of their religious inclination, called on security agencies to immediately launch investigation into the incident and unravel the perpetrators of the unholy act with a view to bringing the culprits to book.

According to the governor, “peace is sine qua non for the development of any society and the government will not tolerate any act capable of breaching peace, unity and tranquility of the state”.

The governor called on the people of the state to imbibe spirit of tolerance and harmonious relationship for sustenance of growth and economic development in the state.

UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) reports that approximately 20,210 babies were born in Nigerian on the New Year’s Day.
The births, represented third largest population of newborns in the world on Jan. 1, 2018.
The agency reported that Kiribati’s Christmas Island in the Pacific would most likely welcome 2018’s first baby while the U.S., its last.

Globally, over half of these births are estimated to take place in nine countries, according to UNICEF.
These are: India, 69,070; China, 44,760; Nigeria, 20,210; Pakistan, 14,910; Indonesia, 13,370; United States, 11,280; Democratic Republic of Congo, 9,400; Ethiopia, 9,020; and Bangladesh, 8,370.

While many babies would survive, some would not make it past their first day, UNICEF regretted.
Stefan Peterson, UNICEF’s Chief of Health, said on Monday that the UN children’s agency was challenging nations around the world to make sure more newborns survive their first days of life.

UMUAHIA – Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, has called on the Federal Government to protect every Nigerian irrespective of tribe or religion, lamenting the number Igbo youths killed last year in the hands of soldiers of operation Python Dance.

OYC also lamented that most Igbo Youths lost their investments estimated at over N63 trillion in Northern Nigeria, South West, especially the Igbo traders, when their were gutted by fire as well as due to demolition of shops by the Lagos State Government.

And to minimize such huge loss, the group called on Ndigbo to relocate their business headquarters to Igboland and make South East the economic hub of Nigeria.

Rising from its end of year meeting in Umuahia, OYC said that “Igbo Youths mourn our Youths who fell victim during the operation Python Dance and those killed in the North East. We call on the Federal Government to protect all citizens no matter the circumstances”.

A statement signed by its Secretary General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike and the National Vice President, Obinna Achionye, the group urged “the Federal Government to resolve the issues surrounding the hike of petroleum products prices.

“We commend the South East Governors especially the Enugu state Governor, for rising to the occasion to protect Ndigbo from Fulani herdsmen, Governor Umahi for his developmental strides in Ebonyi, Governor Obiano for preservation of Igbo political identity, Governor Ikpeazu for his Made in Abia Products and Governor Okorocha on his developmental strides in Imo. We urge all the Governors of South East to do more for the people”.

OYC also urged Ndigbo to expect tougher times in 2018, to be prepared to adjust to the economic realities on the ground.

Swedish Reality TV star, Fredrik Eklund and his husband, Derek Kaplan, have welcomed twins together, a baby boy and a baby girl and the couple named their son and daughter Fredrick and Milla respectively, multiple sources have confirmed.

Abaribe was challenged by Sen. Lawan who challenged his choice of words. He said it was not right for Abaribe to describe a document submitted by the President himself as ' a piece of fiction'.

President Muhammadu Buhari together with the national leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu and some Governors on Tuesday traveled to Cote d’Ivoire to attend European Union-African Union (EU-AU) summit.

A middle-aged man whose name was given as Maduka Nworiegu has been allegedly killed by a gang of five assailants allegedly led by his elder brother (name withheld). The incident happened at Akunakuna Village, Amagu in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
According to the residents of the area, the victim was beaten by his assailants with iron, cudgels and other dangerous weapon till he died.

This dastardly act came shortly after news filtered in that a vigilante group in Amudo Community, Ezza South Local Government Area of the state allegedly led by (names withheld) attacked a 32-year-old man, Emmanuel (surname withheld) with machete yesterday and inflicted him with injuries.

Emmanuel, at the moment, is receiving treatment at Chidindu Hospital in the same area.

In the Amagu Ikwo tragedy, the deceased younger brother, Donald, alleged that the assailants dropped the corpse of the victim at his father’s house and fled the village when they discovered that he had died.

He dismissed the insinuation that the death was politically motivated, as rumour had it that the assailants acted on the bidding of a top politician from the area.

He said there was no misunderstanding between the two brothers to have warranted such dastardly act, as none of them had complained of any misunderstanding between them.

“Our brother hired assassins to kill him. It was our brother that led the gang that killed him. The victim is my immediate younger brother. We are from the same parents. I was not aware that there was any problem between the two because if there was, my father would have known or even told me.

“I was not home when it happened but my people told me that they beat him with iron and other weapons and when they discovered that he had died, they kept him in our father’s parlour and ran away,” he said.

For Emmanuel who was attacked by a group of local vigilante, his relative who gave his names as Charles told Daily Sun that Emmanuel was returning from Afikpo where he worked when he met the group at Onuokpuru Ikwe in Amudo Community who arrested him and gave him machete cuts to the point of death.

When contacted on the telephone, the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Loveth Odah, said she has not been briefed on the incidents. She promised to get back to our correspondent.

Troops with the 202 Battalion of 21 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have killed 8 Boko Haram members.
According to Daily Post, the sect members were killed during the clearing of terrorists’ hideouts in enclaves in Abusuriwa, Newchina, Bonzon, Usmanari, Goyayeri, Shitimari, Gashimari, Awaram amongst other villages in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

The soldiers also rescued a total of 30 people during their raids.

The Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman in a statement, said “The gallant troops were also able to recover 4 AK-47 Rifles, 3 Magazines, 7 Dane guns and Machetes, amongst other items.

“In addition, the troops also rescued 3 men, 12 women as well as 15 Children, among whom were an aged man and a woman held captives by the Boko Haram terrorists.

“The suspected terrorist has been handed over to the relevant authorities for further interrogation, while the rescued civilian captives are being attended to.”

Boko Haram has been defeated
President Muhammadu Buhari recently said that Boko Haram’s wicked methods of using innocent children for suicide bomb attacks on soft targets are the last kicks of a dying horse.

Buhari said that the war had moved to the next phase, which would be intelligence-driven.

Lagos Commissioner of Police have rescued a 13 year Old maid whose madam constantly locked indoors whenever she is traveling outside Nigeria.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police Ag CP Imohimi Edgal, today led operatives of the command to rescue 13-year-old Nkechi Oseh, pictured above, at No. 30 Adeniran Ajao Estate Anthony. The CP stormed the residence after he got an information from a reliable source that Nkechi’s employer, one Ms Betty Ifeoma, a staff of NNPC Lagos state office, was in the habit of locking her up for weeks anytime she is travelling within or out of the country leaving her with only two (2) packets of cabin biscuit.

After she was rescued, Nkechi who was looking pale and malnourished, said she is an orphan. She said whenever her boss travels and locks her in, she resorts to drinking water from the toilet whenever she is thirsty.


It was observed that Nkechi had been subjected to series of domestic attacks as scars were seen all over her body. She told the commissioner of police that she has been locked up at four different times since her uncle brought her from Igboju in Delta state.

In her words, the frail-looking Nkechi said “I have been locked up for two weeks, one-week, three-weeks when she traveled to London and since she traveled on Saturday I have been crying before God helped me today”.


During the rescue operation, empty packet of biscuits and a container of eaten food which was passed through the burglary proof for Nkechi to eat was discovered on the floor. Nkechi is currently under the care of the child protection unit of the ministry of youth and social development lagos state.


The commissioner of police has vowed to get to the bottom of the matter.
