Hi People,just joined the thread.

Am 31 going on 32 in about three months, been TTC since 2005,I did not train as a doc but based on all the books i've read, tests have done and internet research i think i can say am a doctor in my own right(Don't get me wrong o i was not even a medical student)but i've been through the valley of shadow of death in the quest to getting pregnant, had a cardiac arrest trying to do a laparoscopy. Can u beat that.Am alive and well and still fighting on,thinking of going the IVF route but need a clinic that is extremely careful and professional as i have to do some screenings abroad in conjuction with the clinic i choose here.Which IVF clinic will you consider the best. Are there known success stories?

Anyone ever heard of Ashermans Syndrome?

Ketubah,
You could try The Bridge Clinic. Their url is:http://www.bridge-clinic.com. All the best

ziga:

I don't think the treatment for candidiasis could have resulted in the change in her periods.

I'm guessing you meant to say that the flow was much lighter than usual. She can get a pregnancy test to make sure she is not pregnant and yes, home pregnancy tests are available in Naija.

Sometimes, changes in the menstrual cycle may only be due to some stress. . . But there may be other serious conditions that require early medical intervention causing it. Anyhow, the first thing to do will be to rule in / out a pregnancy.

Hope that helped.

Thanks, Ziga. It sure helped

Hi all forums,
My heart goes out to everyone with this problem. I appreciate what you are going through being that my wife and I are going through a similar thing.
Making it worse are the various conflicting ideas one finds while consulting different doctors and on the web. For my wife and I, we have decided to take things easy a bit having done our best so far.
Most importantly, however, is completely relying on Jehovah God to do what is best for us.
Pls take good care of youselves.

Meanwhile, does anyone know where home pregnancy test kits could be purchased in Nigeria - preferably in Port Harcourt?

Hi Doc,

My wife's period is very regular in cycle length (26~28 days each) and number of days (5 days). However, this month she had it for only 2 days and the flow was not lighter than usual. What could be wrong? She was being treated for Candidiasis a few days before her period.
Also, would you know if home pregnancy test kits are available in Nigeria?

Many thanks
