Romeo can I drink lipton tea? I've been told it's not good for me to drink it right now because of caffeine but can I drink it say twice a week. I'm looking for an alternative to milk.

grin grin What's the matter Aladunni,it looks strange? What I do when exercising is that I begin with a number and work on building it. I used to do 20 reps of squats as a set(not funny) then I didn't exercise for a while but when I resumed I began with 10 squats a rep and was building to 20 squats a rep. You can do it as long as you set your mind to it. Our bodies are marvelous machines. If you do 7 now,okay. Maybe you can do that for a week then increase to 10 and in a month you'll find doing 20 squats a set to be easy as ABC. I guarantee that as long as you remain consistent. This was meant to encourage.


@cold,i dropped 6kg in 3 months. Healthy eating and exercise works,it's the consistency that matters and lack of that results in some of us having drawbacks.

@Romeo,what shall I do? I tried taking other breads and it made me want to puke. Even my constant companion,milk is beginning to fail me and I am always SO HUNGRY! grin Yeah yeah I'll weigh myself soon.

1:30pm - 1.5 serving beans and boiled ripe plantain
4:30pm - 1.5 serving beans and boiled ripe plantain
7:45pm - 2 large servings spaghettin,stew,1 pc of meat
Water - 2.5L(yay!)
Exercise - nil.

Comment - milk is becoming a no no for me sad

@confused,i guess you just have to drink it anyhow. Some people squeeze lemon into their water,you could try that. drinking water has been a trial for me for some weeks now but I drink it when I remember all the wonderful things it does for the body and after a while,you'll come to love the taste of water above other drinks.

@ Arly,it's well,your sister will deliver safely in Jesus name. Pregnacare is basically a multivitamin designed for pregnant women. It contain folic acid,iron,magnesium,vitamin B family etc. It can be taken berfore conception(as they claim,there's Pregnacare conception),during pregnancy and during breast feeding. I am presently using this as a prenatal drug and since it's one tablet a day,i find it easier to handle,except it makes me hungry angry

L - beans and boiled ripe plantain
D @ 7pm - fist size poundo yam,ogbonno soup and 1 pc of meat
10pm - 3 slices of fruit bread with some margarine
Slept at midnight
Water - 2L
Exercise - nil

Comment - somehow I seem not to have added weight,it's either my body is still losing or just maintaining because my clothes are still hanging loose and sliding off grin

I know the difficulties of seeing medical specialists in our environment. Especially for a non-life-threatening condition. Ideally he should see a Consultant Dermatologist - they handle all skin eruptions no matter what part of the body they occur, including Venereal Disease with skin manifestations like Syphylis, for example.

He can start again with a general duty doctor, such as myself. They have a broad enough knowledge to handle easily diagnosable conditions that cut-across the different specialties.

I thought oats are healthier than cornflakes. I eat oats a lot and it's low in calories. Also it depends on if you're using low or full fat milk and sugar. Use low fat milk i.e. skimmed milk and no sugar wink About the jogging,it'll take time for you to build endurance so keep at it.

Hi Doc, this boils on privates is an issue. I know a guy who gets boils on his privates usually on the p e n i s just before the cap and/or on the area above the p e n i s where pubic hair is. The boils are usually pimple like,no pus,not painful,itches sometimes. Once in a while a boil with pus would appear and go. They come and go usually after a bout of antibiotics and application of antibacterial/antifungal cream. But they keep recurring. What could be the issue?

i have been peeing a lot lately. about once or twice every hour. is this normal 

i am also introducing spinach, carrots, cole slaw, etc to my diet .ie. salads.
i know that salad cream and mayonaisse is a NO-NO.

But greens do not taste nice without some dressing on them. is it okay to put vinegar on them or some other sauce [/b]or should i just endure and eat them as they are  undecided

i do not like wheat bread cos i do not like the way it tastes.  but i am replacing white bread with wheat bread in my diet. [b]any tips on what i can ''put on'' the wheat bread to make it a little tastier  undecided

Olive oil is the recommended healthy dressing,about a tablespoon or two depending on the quantity of your salad.

In my experience,wheat bread tastes better on its own but you can try other stuff. I tried it with peanut butter(yuck!),margarine(ew!), toasted with egg(manageable). So you can try stuff and see what your taste buds like.

Hi peeps, welcome Aladunni cheesy This is my 2 cents,your regime looks harsh shocked Like Romeo said,this is a lifestyle change. I've been overweight most of my life and tried different stuff but it wasn't until I started eating healthy and exercising that I saw good results. I still receive compliments till today about how much weight I lost,the compliments won't last long though but what the heck! Please do not starve yourself,it never works. One loses weight fast only to put it back on when normal eating resumes and trust me it will unless conscious efforts are made to eat healthy. That's my 2 kobo.

@ size12,it's not by force to eat beans,there's moinmoin. You might like that grin

I haven't been writing down what I eat but I have been eating as healthy as possible. Let's see

@Kay9,after reading that I couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy 'cause he's not getting a fair deal. Now if my hubby did that to me without provocation from me angry
I would reflect on my home and count how many children I have. Do I need more,nah! I would call my hubby and set a date for a wild night,purchase a intimacy toy to make things more fun. Dim the bedroom lights, play slow music, scent the room and myself, wear somefing naughty and wait. Just as he's getting heated up,I'll be like, "wait dear,I've got something for your pleasure" *evil laugh* and present him with this delectable bu.tt intimacy toy. "Try it out baby" I'll croon. Unbeknownst to him, there's a live scorpion waiting for him there.

The rest is history.
