Sometime in February, I was replying some important whatsapp messages when I suddenly found myself added to a new whatsapp group by a random dude who has my number.

This guy added me to a group that was created for the purpose of monitory contributions for the marriage ceremony of a mutual acquaintance.

The group admin ever since has posted messages at intervals asking members of the group to contribute money for his friend's wedding.

I know the guy who is about to wed quite alright but we are not friends and I'm not sure we have even had a phone conversation together. We just see once in a while and say hello.

The guy getting married didn't even extend any wedding invite to me in person. And while I won't rule out the idea of gifting him for his wedding, I believe adding me to a group and asking me for money is absurd and annoying.

Who else has encountered this kind of situation and how did you handle it.

A lot of people don't really understand what is going on in Rivers. Its beyound Wike vs Fabura. Fabura played his card too early, local government chairmen worked for his success to be a governor. He started planing to undermine them and somehow replace them with his own people. He was trying to hijack power from people that helped him win. The Edo state debacle gave him balls thinking he can play the same card in Rivers. He forgot that powers that be didn't want Oshiomole again, and they already made that clear to Buhari. APC governors worked against their own party in Edo to make sure they shame Oshiomole. APC governors were bent on disgracing Oshiomole cos he stepped on many toes that was why Obaseki got away with all the nonsense he did. Obaseki even thanked Buhari for not interfering on intervening. Reverse is the case now, APC is eying Rivers, Wike has backing of federal might. Anybody thinking those lawmakers who defected will lose their sits is having a pipe dream. The positive impact of the Lagos Calabar coastal road on the Nigerian economy will be huge and generational.
I have tried to explain to some why this is a brainer but they seem bent on looking at it from a political and sentimental perspective.
Even if Obi was President and he proposed this road, I would have supported it with everything I have.

Nigeria has a long coastline and most are not been used to their full potential. Imagine how many beaches will open up from Lagos to Calabar, imagine world-class hotels, imagine the potential for resorts in many areas.


Look at it from the potential benefits instead of the potential delays and costs.

Projects of this magnitude will experience delays, cost overruns, and many other problems. But we must still start it and plan for potential hiccups as we go along. No matter how ell you plan there will be issues but that is not enough reason to back away form it.

In 2021, I decided to stay on my on and try to face life and achieve growth as a man. The journey has been challenging, I won't lie but I have been able to learn valuable lessons.
I have been living in a face me I face you since may 2022. When I got there, it was a total different kind of lifestyle.

The landlady particularly called me on the second week I got to the compound. she said I looked gentle which is good but that shouldn't stop me from washing the bathroom and toilet when it's my turn.
I kept wondering what was the similarity between being gentle and washing the toilet?
Well I had no problem complying since it's a normal routine for all tenants.

I had to share bathroom and also toilet. And when it's time to cook, I did that in my room. Sometimes I felt shy and washed in my room then one lady in our house told me my room will be smelling if I keep washing there.
Sometimes they fight over the smallest issues that can be solved with just sorry.
I found it very strange.

To top the whole issue, our compound did not have its own water or well. We had to go to the next street.
Well I thought it wise to be buying things gradually. I bought bed, standing fan and curtains. You know the normal bachelor bachelor's setup.

Then this week, I was able to rent another house which was a room and palor...
Hahahaha I have been walking up and down the house since I moved in. From the kitchen to the palour and to the room then to the bathroom. Sometimes, I'll peep through the windows to look at people passing lol. Don't mind me, I just graduated from living in a house with a single widow to a house with more than 5 windows

I now have easy access to water and I have just been laughing unnecessarily to myself. Well I think it's part of living alone.
