That is the problem we are suffering from right now,and it is continuing.
People multiplying indiscriminately without any plan to train them.
It is a pity.Just another case of non implementation of laws.
By the way,has the Law pegging the number of children to 4 been abrogated?

BA should be banned totally. They treat their customers shabbily. What about their discriminatory pricing? Go to their website and check out the disparity in rates for flights between Lagos-London and Accra-London.I stopped flying BA almost 10 years ago in personal protest. Kudos to Stella Oduah.

Business / Re: How Do I Start Up A Fund Raising Organisation? by elegal1(f): 2:51pm On Oct 20, 2011
You need to get the proposed name approved first at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
If you print t-shirts and other documents first, and later on the name gets rejected,
you would have incurred huge losses.
If you want to open a bank account, you must supply the registration documents and certificate.
Most donors also need evidence of registration before they donate to your cause etc.
So, bottom line is you need to register it first.

Where I live in Abuja, the light comes on and off 100 times a day.

Two weeks ago,I was in Umuahia, capital of Abia State. The light was permanently off for over two weeks.

In smaller/impoverished African Countries like sierra Leone,Togo,Senegal, etc.,the light is on 24/7.

I have followed this saga with keen interest.
It is a great shame that people choose not to use analytical minds while discussing important issues. If the Governor had remained silent,he would have been vilified as well. Is it true that the Student's body claimed the incident did not occur on campus? How many students are there at Abia State University? Why is it that up till now,no one has come out to say they know the alleged victim, despite the fact that her face was clearly visible (according to those who claim to have seen the video)? Some persons have claimed that the pictures of the alleged rapists are in fact those of persons who could help the police find the culprits. The smear campaign on Abia State is premature and unwarranted.PLEASE let anyone with credible and relevant information send it to the appropriate authorities, for necessary action.WE ALL WANT TO GET AT THE TRUTH OF THIS MATTER.

By the way,why all the horrible English language here?

1st Kings:Chapter 12
The Israelites, assembled at Shechem to crown Rehoboam, ask him to relax their burden
1 And Rehoboam went to Shechem: for all Israel were come to Shechem to make him king. 2 And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was yet in Egypt, heard of it, (for he was fled from the presence of king Solomon, and Jeroboam dwelt in Egyptwink 3 That they sent and called him. And Jeroboam and all the congregation of Israel came, and spake unto Rehoboam, saying, 4 Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee. 5 And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to me. And the people departed. 6 And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people? 7 And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever. 8 But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him: 9 And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter? 10 And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins. 11 And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. 12 So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king had appointed, saying, Come to me again the third day. 13 And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men's counsel that they gave him; 14 And spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions. 15 Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the Lord, that he might perform his saying, which the Lord spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

16 So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents. 17 But as for the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them. 18 Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem. 19 So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day. 20 And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of David, but the tribe of Judah only. 21 And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah, with the tribe of Benjamin, an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam the son of Solomon. 22 But the word of God came unto Shemaiah the man of God, saying, 23 Speak unto Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and unto all the house of Judah and Benjamin, and to the remnant of the people, saying, 24 Thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the Lord, and returned to depart, according to the word of the Lord.

Are we sure EFCC and ICPC can tackle this monstrous assignment?

Where will they start? What time frame will they cover?

The stealing and looting has continued unabated because no one ever got punished for these offences along the way.

LET EVERY ONE WHO HAS EVER HELD ANY POSITION ANYWHERE COME FORWARD AND GIVE ACCOUNT OF HIS/HER STEWARDSHIP IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN.

Let's start from there.

Then let us invite the FBI and Scotland Yard to do the job for us. Period.

Business / Re: Can Any Tell Me How To Turn N3,500 Into N50,000 Per Month by elegal1(f): 8:46pm On Aug 17, 2011
It is only those who lack imagination, who think that you cannot grow N3,500 into N50,000 in a month.

YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES YOUR ALTITUDE!!!!

There are so many businesses one could start and make more than N.5million every month.

One example is establishing a mobile car wash business.
Invest in washing up liquid, towel, brush bucket etc for less than N3,500.
So many people are too busy and need this service.

START SMALL AND GROW BIG.
You can make that amount in one week if you put your mind to it.

For more training and tips go to,

We shall soon conduct Training on such businesses you could start and grow.

This is the greatest joke of the century. Is it only handcuffs that the Nigerian Police Lack?
Most of their investigators lack the brains to even know how to use a handcuff.
Some do not care. Some are blinded by material gains.
Woe betide you if you have a problem that requires police intervention.
You are on your own.

Nothing short of a total overhaul of the police force will do.

Sorry to sound harsh, but I agree with the poster.
Most jobseekers lack imagination, are lazy and are only out for
somewhere to sit down and collect salaries at the end of each month.
Most employers have tales of woe about their employees. We need attitudinal change
as a people, and this includes jobseekers.

What are we really sharing?
National loot
Sense of importance??

Why are we not discussing the responsibility and service attached to the variuos offices,
and what the occupants of the seats intend to bring to the table,
in terms of bettering the lot of all nigerians,Hausa,Igbo,Yoruba,Efik,Ibibio,Ijaw,Fulani
and infact all the other tribes that make up Nigeria.

The sooner we stop looking at who is getting what, and focus on what really matters, the better for us.
Otherwise we will still remain as ignorant and as primitive as ever while the greedy and insatiable continue to rob us blind of our collective wealth.
Politics / Re: Orji Wins Abia State by elegal1(f): 7:13pm On Apr 29, 2011
@ Kc3000
- Ok, we (Abians) don't need anyones's pity. Try fixing your own wretched states before you come to ridicule us with your pity.

- Yes, there wasn't really a concerted Ngwa opposition to Orji this time around. Most of the Ngwa political elite are in the PDP as well, and the only other option would have been to tear the party apart, as the party had naturally given Orji the nomination for a second term. The people had spent so much resources on battling Uzor Kalu, that they aren't quite as willing to jump in every seemingly fruitless fight. Moreover, since it would take a supernatural act not to have an Ngwa indigene emerge the next governor after Orji, I think most of the eligible Ngwa have their sites set on 2015.

- In the very least, we have rid ourselves of the colossal evil known as Orji Uzor Kalu. Most people outside the state do not appreciate the ridiculous extent of devilishness in this Kalu character, an individual that introduced ritualism and occult practices into every fabric of governance. Even council men in LGAs were made to take oaths of allegiance, as I heard from a first person account. Kalu underperformed like many other governors in Nigeria, but his ruthlessness, the stench of his voodoo practices, and the fact that he and his mother had their tentacles in every single facet of government, just crippled the state.

- The 'hope' is that T.A Orji, having finally rid himself of the Kalu burden, can get to work and find some redemption in the sight of the common Abian. I would NOT hold my breath on this.
Good talk!!!
Abians should look to the future and plot how to assist this Governor to make amends. He has promised to work for the betterment of Abia from now on.He should be given benefit of doubt.Enough is Enough of Bad Governance in Abia State. angry
