Yes, the Naigerian name indicates she was birthed by one Naigerian parent, as i ve said, she is mixed white why you chose to ignore that or recongnise that she is half white i fail to understand. Surely her white roots should be recognised.

My point about her name being given to her by her parent is because people don't have a choice in the names given to them after birth grin i wasn't suggesting that we were present at her birth.

Okay, AJ may have chosen to do that but the others might not want to, you claimed they all want to come HOME. This woman may have Naigerian roots, she also has White European roots which she could also consider as HOME. cheesy it isn't for us to chose where her home is or should be in terms of roots.

I am not disputing their associations or identifications with their roots or their birth parents countries, Never! I have children who have European mothers, hence my passion on roots identifications. I have never picked one root over another when explaining to them their roots.

Again, i point out, i was responding to the individual who described her as a foreigner in England, perhaps because he/she read her IGBO name and thought oh! a foreigner in England.

FYI, i have IGBO roots also.. (if that is how it is described) Born in the UK by IGBO parents. I consider myself IGBO too also because my both parents are IGBO. I also have IGBO name So this is not a dispute about roots, ofcourse, everyone has roots.

Naigeria, Nigeria what difference does it make? Both words sounds the same. cheesy

Thank you for your further clarification. I do not have information about her mother’s nationality. I just looked at it from the point of her name.

Your second paragraph needs for you to note that people have rights over the names given to them after birth or when they have come of age.
For example, someone can say that he no longer likes the names given to him at birth, for his own reasons. Some say there are particular names that they find nauseating and they want to change the names.

I absolutely agree with your position in your fifth paragraph. The lady certainly cannot be termed a foreigner in the UK, with her status as a Briton. Infact one is no longer called a foreigner, once citizenship is conferred.

Maybe you choose to spell Nigeria that way for your convenience. Remember to visit from time to time, especially at Christmas, when Igboland is filled with enjoyment in all the communities.

In all, I thank you for the decorum in the conversation.

Cheers.

Very sound advise.

Now the retirees face old age. They need to save their money and plan usage of such money properly. Having served for either 35 years or meeting the age deadline to retire, it is now time to rest for them.

They must not hand over their retirement funds to those who lie and deceive them.
They must not hand over to fake investment experts.
They must not put all the money into fish farming, without proper training or idea. It has ruined too many retirees.
They must not hand over to emergency importers, who promise them 500% return on investment.
They must not trust their children to help them invest in bitcoins, forex and other get rich quick schemes.
They must carefully handle the money, while planning effectively for investments, if necessary.
Sentiments must not play any role with horrible children, who want to kill their parents and run away with their retirement benefit. Stay away from them.

Yes, She is british, you are right it doesn't stop her from identifying with her roots, clearly as it appears.
My comment was in response to her being described as a FOREIGNER by the person i responded to grin grin She is NOT a FOREIGNER in England.

Maybe they want to return HOME, maybe they don't. I will take your words.

What exactly do you mean by HOME because i can guarantee you this woman or any other like her considers Africa or Naigeria as HOME

It is like saying Obama wants to return HOME grin cheesy Or Kanye West wants to return HOME or Kemi Badenoch wants to return HOME. I doubt that very very much

Haba!
The Nigerian name surely would have been given to her at birth? The two of us were not there when she was born. Our attraction to her is her name, which is Nigerian. That surely is not in dispute.

When I say home, I mean Nigeria, or to be more specific, to their particular tribe or state. AJ is an example of identifying with his home. Until his profile came up, not many knew of his Nigerian roots. To drive home his relationship with Nigeria, he visited on some occasions, even as he identifies and fights as a Briton.

Sure, they may not consider Nigeria or Africa as their home, in the context of residency. However the truth remains that Nigeria is their home and they are always welcome anytime they deem it to be here.

Obama was born in Hawai, by a Kenyan father and an American mother. He is definitely an American, but that did not clean off his roots. He admitted that and said much more about his Kenyan roots. That’s the way it is for those who do not throw away their roots because of civilization.

And by the way, why do you spell Nigeria as Naigeria?
You did that repeatedly.

Take a look at her properly. She is a white black mixed race woman

If she doesn’t identify with Nigeria, why does she bear a Nigerian name?

She’s British. She’ll defend British interests first. But it does not stop her from identifying with her roots. That’s why Nigerians in such positions abroad, either in government, sports or entertainment, always want to return home. They do not forget home.

In a war, there are no rules, otherwise Russia would not be destroying whole cities, towns, villages, people and animals in Ukraine.

Iran and its axis of evil are not able to prevail over Israel. The truth remains that Israel has the military advantage over them all combined.

Of all the nations with nuclear weapons, Israel is one of the only five who possess air, sea and land nuclear weapons. They are easily able to destroy those nations combined, if their very existence is threatened. Do you think Ukraine does not have the capacity to strike Moscow? Or do you think NATO does not u set stand the danger of Ukraine attacking Russia directly with their weapons. A nuclear war would be provoked because the Russians would see it as a threat to their existence.

We pray and hope for peace to prevail. We pray and hope for a two state solution. We pray and hope that thereafter, Iran will not continue with the desire to wipe Israel away from the face of the earth.

Rishi literally annihiliated Starmer during the debate.

Being Indian was the only thing against him which the Brits didn't like.

I wish Starmer best of luck but I cant see him implementing lot of changes with his overwhelming majority in the Parliament.

The knives will soon be out for him.

And the Indians would never give you their citizenship, yet they have citizenships of other countries all over the world. Spend eternity and you’ll never be an Indian. If the English were tribalistic, Rishi Sunak would not be the PM.

Rishi Sunak's government has faced the economic consequences of Covid 19, tensions with the union, high national debt, high energy prices, inflation with the citizens groaning under it, weak economic growth, etc.

It’s time for him to leave, just like we do not expect one baba to stay beyond 2027 with his horrible errors in Nigeria.

They somehow lose more than Israel each time the exchanges happen.

If the Israelis do not kill commanders, they kill large number of citizens. They also destroy whole towns and communities. Hezbollah, Hamas, Iran, PL, Syria, the Houthis, always pay far worse prices.

This war needs to end.

Pressed by the axis of evil and a threat to the existence of the state of Israel, expect the use of nuclear weapons in the Middle East.

G up refuse.
The citizens do not want to live with huge refuse in their homes.
Citizens payments are not up to day
When the rains come and there are no trucks to pick up refuse, the people resort to self help.
Even the dump sites are eye sores. You can go to Igando and Ojota. When it rains, those who live around the dump sites scream about the poisonous environment.
Government failed to deal with the poor environment around those areas.
The same government that failed with provision of essential services, wants to arrest and prosecute citizens.

Government must ensure that their agents pick up refuse accordingly and without delays. Citizens must pay for the services to save themselves any embarrassment from government.

What a shame.
All the joy in the hearts of his parents at his birth; all the efforts and resources spent to send him to school; all the expectations of taking care of his parents in their all age; all were in vain.

What a life. What a society. Where will his parents start from? What if he was their only child?

Who will take this menace off our society? Who will help our youths to stop cultism?

This is so sad and heart wrenching.

Only a weak father would watch his son rot in the hands of a police. Obviously you don’t know what strength and weakness is.

You are wrong?

So if you have a confirmed armed robber as a son, who terrorists you, your family and the neighborhood, you’ll protect him from the police?
A weak father is that one who in the face of dangerous realities confronting him and his family, pretends that all is well. If your son threatens to kill you and makes a definite effort to carry out his threat, it will become very foolish of you to wait until he carries out his act. He showed himself to you as your number 1 enemy. Who lost out in the end? It was not just the man, but the entire family who lost their father and now the son to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Probably as a priest, the man tried to practice what he preached. He probably always preached peace and unity in the home. The boy however was way beyond his control and he needed to call security in him. If he did that, the man probably would be alive and free. A strong willed father would without delay get the police to detain him.
Crime / Re: 28-Year-Old Son Kills Father, Anglican Reverend In Delta by ElevationD: 7:43am On Jul 04
Finally the son landed in the same police station that the father prevented him from getting to. Unfortunately this time the boy killed his father.

When there’s threat to life, there’s e Emory already. It does not matter the person is your biological child or family member. Stay away as far apart as possible.

The man made some sentimental errors and those cost him his life in the end.

You are given free accommodation, free cars and security to add and yet you tell Nigerians who voted you in that your salaries are not enough? Why not give the same workers free homes, free transport and see if they will complain?
