Just a few days after Warner Bros. brought the house down with a new Justice League trailer at Comic-Con 2017, the studio is planning reshoots that are causing quite a few headaches for the movie's very busy stars. A new report reveals that Warner Bros. has reportedly spent upwards of $25 million on reshoots in both Los Angeles and London, which have gone on for two months. These reshoots are both much lengthier, and much more costly than the average reshoot schedules that most studios stand by.

Variety reports that studios normally spend anywhere between $6 million and $10 million on reshoots, which only typically last a week or two. The report claims that the prolonged nature of these reshoots have industry insiders raising some eyebrows, which is dragging out because of scheduling headaches from a diverse cast of in-demand actors. While stars such as Ben Affleck (Batman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) currently aren't filming any other projects, making them available for these extended reshoots, other stars such as Ezra Miller (The Flash) and Henry Cavill (Superman) are "scrambling" to accommodate their schedules.

Ezra Miller is currently filming Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2, which started shooting earlier this summer, where he reprises his role from the original movie as Credence Barebone. Since that project is also a Warner Bros. movie, the scheduling accommodation hasn't been quite as difficult, although his character has a larger role that makes it difficult for him to shoot both projects at once. Henry Cavill's issues are much more complex, since he is currently filming Paramount's Mission: Impossible 6. Henry Cavill had expected that he could finish filming Mission: Impossible 6 before he was needed for Justice League reshoots, but that isn't the case, forcing him to jump back and forth between both productions. The report also reveals that the mustache the actor grew for his character in Mission: Impossible 6 will now have to be removed digitally in Justice League post-production, since Paramount would not allow the actor to shave his facial hair during production.

Microsoft is planning to end support for Paint when Windows 10's Fall Creators Update arrives later this year, The Guardian reports.

The program will not be supported nor receive new features anymore for the first time in 32 years, when it was first introduced in 1985's Windows 1.0.

However, Microsoft clarified that the app itself will be moved to the Microsoft Store, where users will be able to download it for free.

Microsoft will also retain Paint 3D, which it introduced with the Windows 10 Creators Update back in April, but the program doesn't share much with the three-decade-plus old Paint everyone knows and loves (or hates).

Paint 3D is designed to work with three-dimensional image making tools, and also allows for some basic 2D editing, but it doesn't look nor behave like the original one.

Paint will join Outlook Express, the Reader app, and Reader list in Windows 10's list of features that will be "removed or deprecated" when the Fall Creators Update comes.

Texans will soon be able to carry a whole host of new weapons, including swords, spears, daggers and more.

The Lone Star state has passed a law that will allow residents to openly carry knives with blades longer than 5.5 inches, CNN reports. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed the bill in June, but it does not go into effect until Sept. 1.

People could already carry knives with blades under the 5.5-inch limit, but they generally could not purchase or carry longer weapons. Now they will be able to take many more weapons with them when they run errands, for example, or when acting out their favorite scenes from Game of Thrones in the local park.

The new law won’t apply to places like schools, prisons, hospitals, amusement parks or places of worship, according to CNN. And if you’re going to a sports event or a bar, you’ll have to leave your sword at home.

NCC not officially briefed on new development, says Ojobo

Three days into the three weeks ultimatum handed Etisalat Nigeria to stop using the brand name in Nigeria, by Emirates Telecommunications Company (ETC), the embattled telecommunications firm may have changed its name to 9Mobile.

Though, as at press time, Etisalat Nigeria was yet to issue a formal statement to that effect, there are feelers that the new name, 9Mobile, was adopted yesterday after two hours of board meeting in Lagos.

Calls made to the mobile line of the Vice President, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs, Etisalat Nigeria, Ibrahim Dikko and Head of Public Relations, Seyi Osundedo were not answered.


However, the implication of this is that the over 20 million subscribers belonging to Etisalat Nigeria will now run on the new platform.
Also, 9Mobile is expected to drop the domain name, www. etisalat. com.ng, while further restructuring of the brand continues.

The Federal Government of Nigeria is set to issue a ban on shooting of music videos as well as movies outside the country.

The Minister of Information, Mr Lai Mohammed made this known on Saturday in Lagos when he paid a visit to the headquarters of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON).

During his visit, Lai Mohammed said:

‘This government has agreed that henceforth, whatever we consume in Nigeria in terms of music and films, must be made in Nigeria”

“We cannot continue to go to South Africa or any other country to produce our films and then send them back to be consumed in Nigeria”

“The Broadcasting Code and the Advertising Code are very clear on this. For you to classify a product as a Nigerian product, it must have a certain percentage of Nigerian content.”
