Thank you so much for the quick response. She just told me she was directed to a DHL office or so.
I find it weird that someone is at their office and they still want them to go pay for courier after the woman tried calling them endlessly last week for inquiries and no one picked up.

It is well. Thank you again for your response.

deeteeneey:

Yes, it is true. Passport submission is done via courier services (DHL or UPS).

She should request the courier service to do drop off and pick up (final destination should be her home address in Ondo) for her. I've seen cases where DHL will only pickup from VFS to their office and one will need to go and collect PP in DHL office.

I'll advise since she's in Lagos, she should go to the nearest office to her location to courier it.

Good morning everyone and congrats to the PPR recipients.

My mom travelled from Ondo state to Lagos to submit her passport and was denied entry at the gate. She was told she has to use courier services.

Please can anyone confirm if this is true because it doesn’t make sense and she’s currently unavailable on phone, looking for solution.

Good day everyone. I know some visa offices extend your medicals automatically once it expires.
Does anyone have an idea if Ottawa is one of those visa offices? I'm considering taking my medicals again (no remed request yet) but I want to know if people have enjoyed extensions from Ottawa before I go ahead and pay.

Yes, luckily they moved mine from 11th to 14th.
I've heard that they keep to time but they are short staffed or so. Hence, the long wait time.

ottawasenators:
Thanks Ella99. Just placed a call through and it was confirmed our names are on their system against tomorrow.

Our schedule is up to date and we have 2moro all free for this activity.

But for real, do they actually keep to their timing of 7:30 am? I guess you were also able to schedule some other convenient date.

cheers!!

Please call to reconfirm your appointment. I went to their office in December to book mine and to my surprise, i was told yesterday that my name was not on the system.
Also, i heard you may spend the whole day....you're likely to leave around 3-7pm

ottawasenators:
Good Day fellow nairalanders,

While wishing every1 success in the various stages of this journey we find ourselves, and also best wishes to our prospective ITA clinchers today.

I will like to find out if there is any information that might come in handy, as we are heading for medicals @ iom tomorrow Thursday 10th January by 7:30 am. cool

Please i would not mind

Good morning people, please is there anybody who has booked an appointment with Qlife this month and is willing to swap dates with me? I have an appointment tomorrow and unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. I actually thought I booked for January 14, and I just called them this morning to postpone it, only to learn that it's actually tomorrow. The next available date is in April.

Exactly. I was under the impression that you need a SOA if the reference letter doesn't come in CIC format. I guess different experiences are largely based on the VO in charge.

harry41:
Congratulations again. It seems simplicity is key here but I’m surprised that your letters were generic and no SOA was attached.

My people, I am so happy right now that you would think I won the lottery lol My EOR results (from BC) came back successful! Writing was upgraded from 6.5 to 7 and speaking from 7.5 to 8.5. In fact, I didn't want to remark speaking, it was COPR that suggested that I do it just to increase the chances of getting my money back. Thanks man!

Congrats @Engr2000. Your testimony is too sweet.
Please i have a question regarding your POF. Did your reference letters state average balance or it's just the normal one banks provide? Cos i thought you need SOA to show your average balance.

Thanks a lot Tojued

Tojued:

Check page one for list of notary publics. Pick those ones in your area. Search Google for their websites. Call them using phone number on their website to see if you can get prices over phone so you make a choice of which to use.

For the emboldened, check page one for link to people who got ppr and what they did... Check out those who used gift deeds to see how exactly they packaged theirs.

Both affidavit (the 2k option being mentioned) and notary public (30-40k) are accepted.

Lol at shine your eye. Sorry for my "silly" question but this is notary public abi cos someone just said something about affidavit. My guess is cic only accepts notary...i may be wrong.

fmsimple:

2k.
Old Secretariat, Ikeja.
Shine your eyes when you get there, you can even do it for less.

Na wa o. The application is costing so much that wasn't planned for. Thanks for the help smiley

joo2018:
Gift deed by Notary public can cost that much.

The alternative is affidavit (commissioner of oaths) at your local magistrate/high court. That's the cheap one.

Hi @jholarharde, thanks a lot. I just DM'd you.
Please i need contact for the deed or the place where you did it. I'm hearing 30/40k and i don't have that kind of money. Thank you.

jholarharde:

I did. I worded it the way I wanted and took it to notary for stamp and signature. that cost me 2,000. a very merry Christmas to you too
