Politics / Re: Atiku Would Have Failed As President — Bode George by emkz: 9:43am
ElevationD:

“ Had Atiku been able to consolidate his victory by uniting the PDP and bringing back the likes of Kwankwaso, Obi, and G5, he'd have won the 2023 elections. The divisions within the PDP into main PDP, Kwankwaso's NNPPC, Obi's LP and Wike's aso-ebi boys split PDP votes. That split handed victory to President Tinubu. Atiku might have worked to prove himself and immortalize himself as a good president, or he could have ruined his opportunity like a former president did. No one knows for sure”.

Atiku’s disloyalty, greed and desperation must forever remain as an example in Nigerian politics. He won the 1999 governorship election in Adamawa state and was handpicked out of a group of five great leaders from the north, to become OBJ’s vice. He was selected because he was the leader of the then Shehu Musa Yaradua’s political engine (PDM) and thought to be able to secure more votes for PDP in the north, thus defeating the then APP. That secured and in a little time he bared his fangs on OBJ himself. OBJ allowed him preside over the then economic team and Atiku further took over the governors. He ensured that he had 21 PDP governors under his control and then challenged OBJ for the Presidency in 2003. Thankfully the likes of the late Tony Anenih were behind OBJ and he won. That greed cost Atiku his opportunity in 2007 and possibly for ever of becoming the President. That was his clearest and best route to the Presidency.

Atiku had no business in 2023 with PDP/Presidency. There was no chance that he could win. The permutations were very clear. His entry cost the party Kwakanso (another greedy man). The party lost Obi and soon it would be Wike. When Atiku failed to galvanize the party after the convention, allowing the likes of Wike and his group to establish communication with Tinubu, the rest became history.

The lesson for me is that if he could not unite PDP in their dark hour; if he could not unite the aggrieved who had left/were leaving; if he could remain so aloof and not caring, how would he unite the country? The same story, just like Buhari and his divisive rulership would have continued. Atiku was not willing to shift grounds, make concessions and move forward. Even in this moment, we have not seen visible moves by Atiku to unite PDP.

Now he must be saying a lot of “if only”. With the national reach of the PDP, Obi or Wike on the ballot would have won the election. Again, the greed of Wike ( who chased out Obi and Umahi), further troubled the party. Atiku’s advisers failed and he failed himself too. Hopefully Atiku should not be on the PDP ballot in 2027, so the party can reposition and have a better Southern candidate.

I enjoyed reading this analysis.

It is spot on.

They have not learnt the lessons from 2023. This is why the same thing would happen in 2027.

I wish them well.

You know, when I saw this post, you can imagine my anger and disgust that anyone could be so low to write this poor piece in defence of a politician.

I was ready to punch back in the most vitriolic manner I could muster. But after reading through the comments, guy, my anger turned to laughter and right now I'm even feeling pity.

It must really suck to be you and do the things you have to do to survive.

Just look at how you turned yourself to an object of mockery and derision on this thread. Everyone passing had harsh words for you and some even totally spat on you.

Your job is tough man. I give you that.

The problem was that I did not even consider you smart in the first place to regard you beyond someone desperate for my attention.

From the way you follow me all over nairaland to insult me to convince yourself that you are not insignificant, there is only one explanation for your case: you are obsessed with emkz. Like I advised you in one of your lame attacks I did not read, find something to do with yourself. You think anyone that speaks favourably for the government is paid. Politics / Re: PIDOM NIGERIA Detained At FCID Abuja, To Be Arraigned Next Week - Hundeyin by emkz: 6:26am
Initially, I followed him. Then:

(1) He accused a first-class king of fraudulent activities and published whatsapp chats between the king and one lady. Did he ever reach out to the king to ask for his own side of the story? Perhaps he did, or did not. But he rushed to publish and was issuing threats. You have no right to release someone's chats to the public as a third-party. It is illegal. Then making accusations on that scale? Haba!

(2) He released an accusation that the son of Babagana Zulum murdered someone and was beating his chest that it was true. If it was a lie, defamation on that scale is criminal. What does the law say?
Section 375 of the Criminal Code stipulates that "any person who publishes any defamatory matter is guilty of a misdemeanour and is liable to imprisonment for one year; and any person who publishes any defamatory matter knowing it to be false, is liable to imprisonment for two years."

(3) During the protest, he called for 2 million Nigerians to take over Aso Rock. While he was doing this, Omoyele Sowore who was motivating them was away in the US. The call falls within the domain of a call for an insurrection and anarchy.

(4) In one of his posts, he called for the military to take over government. When I analyzed the demands of the protesters, I correctly identified that some of those requests bordered on regime change. Some armchair analysts said I was lying. Didn't some misguided people call for regime change within three days of my interpretation of their demands?

In this administration, those against the government are saying the government must free criminals, irrespective of the crimes they committed. Even when the NLC president was invited to come and explain his links with the dude associated with alleged terrorism financing who occupied the 2nd floor of the NLC building, some Nigerians started abusing the police and accusing them of witchhunt. They said they could not kill terrorists or arrest Yahaya Bello or find the kidnapped 20 medical students. They excuse one bad behaviour for the other. They don't know that terrorists are being killed daily and our gallants security forces are also killed daily, as they try to keep us safe. They have no empathy. They feel everything is witchhunt.

For those who abuse the police and army daily, let us imagine a social experiment, where the police and army are withdrawn for three days and people are given a free run to do anything they like, commit any crime they want without punishment!

How many of you will come out of your house and not live in fear for those three days?

Politics / Re: Atiku Would Have Failed As President — Bode George by emkz: 6:04am
I don't think it is fair to say Atiku would have failed as president. He is not the president, so the assumption is meaningless.

It was due to selfishness on the part of everyone in PDP that Atiku emerged as candidate. In fairness, the ticket wasn't handed to him; he fought for it like a man. So that is fair. Southern governors met in Asaba and agreed that the south must produce the next president. What then happened? Selfish interests took over, the PDP governors could not implement their own accord, and Atiku went into the competition.

Atiku won.

Had Atiku been able to consolidate his victory by uniting the PDP and bringing back the likes of Kwankwaso, Obi, and G5, he'd have won the 2023 elections. No one knows for sure.

What pained me about Atiku's case even though I do not support him, is the people that surrounded him. They failed to advise him properly. In this game of politics, bigmanism has its limits; you must stoop and negotiate with those who hold the aces to swing things. You'd make concessions to them. For example, what value did Okowa bring to the ticket? Even after the election, I can't remember Okowa attending the presidential elections petitions tribunal sittings frequently. I also can't remember if he granted interviews as much as Datti Baba-Ahmed did. Okowa was honourable, but aloof, as if he felt Atiku was on his own. If it was Wike that was chosen, you can imagine the onslaught. Now, see the risk Tinubu took, did it pay off for the victory?

Anyway, Atiku is a resilient man, he just doesn't have good friends and good advisers.

Instead of condemning the Kogi State governor for making useless appointments, they'd look for the list to find out if their names or the names of family members and friends are included.

Ajaero is acting as if he is above the law.

The Force PRO in an interview on Channels TV said the NLC rented their second floor to someone implicated in terrorism. He also said there was suspicious correspondence between the person of interest and NLC leadership.

Ajaero needs to honour the invitation and set the record straight. Delaying by a week is likely to impede investigations and makes him look guilty.

That isn't clearly defined.... It's a post from 2020 and that was APC tenure.

You're singing support for the president and asking people to hold governors accountable.... But these organs work simultaneously and without the policies of the president, the governors can't implement otherwise in their respective states.

What policies do governors need to cultivate their land and set up agro-processing zones in their states? What policies allowed Saraki as governor to invite Israeli farmers to Kwara State? What policies allowed a Harvard-trained economist to come to Jos to farm tomatoes and earned the nickname "Tomato Jos"? What policies allowed Governor Bago to import tractors and purchase buses as well as setting up a cargo airport to life agro-produce?

What policies allow governors to spend billions on Ramadan feeding and Hajj subsidy without addressing basic needs of water supply?

Now that Supreme Court granted LG autonomy, some state governors like Oyo are opposing it. Why?

My entire challenge to all of you is: do not absolve anybody! Hold everyone to account. The state governors purchased vehicles for traditional rulers; on what budget?

It will make sense to post a screenshot of you blaming the governors during GEJ and Buhari regime.

For us to ascertain that, you've been pushing for this campaign of blaming governors and not just a new routine or an awakening call for governors time to receive blames.

I believe in what you said but why are you starting now?

I have always admonished governors to work for their people. I was not on Nairaland during GEJ's tenure, and I supported GEJ then before supporting Buhari. Here is when I admonished the Edo governor in 2020.

Congratulations on winning. I am one of those who never saw your victory coming and was concerned that if you had lost, your career would be gone, but it must be said that in the build up to the campaign, you were more decorous, statemanly and quiet, while Ize-Iyamu, Oshiomole and Captain Hosa started talking too much as if you were already defeated and September 19th was just a formality. I am glad Oshiomole's wings have been clipped the same way he attempted to clip the will of the Edo people by saying that in 2016, he marketed a bad product by demarketing a good product but in 2020, he wants to demarket his 2016 good product by marketing his 2016 bad product.

Where is the integrity?

Your victory does not make you a political juggernaut, but is a step towards one. Your problem for now is not Bola Tinubu but the people of Edo State. You don't have to look over your shoulder anymore because you don't owe anyone anything but those who voted for you.

Yes I saw your pasted links however this media is just one day event at channels on 8 Jan 2023.

At previous media briefs , he had said he will phase it out completely, note the word PHASE..

Look am not here to defend this man he said he will immediately? No problem! But can we both agree that PBAT didn't take his time well even during his electioneering to actually sit down with consultants and draw up possible scenarios and aftereffects that may occur if removed immediately... because if he did he wouldn't have to start MONTHS later start coming up with various scatter gun approach to mitigate the aftereffects...

Look lets just agree to disagree that PBAT erred majorly on this front...our hope is that he will still get things right but so far his body language isn't saying so...let's call a Spade a spade , so that people up top can consistently sit up and continue looking for ways to move this nation foward..let's stop gaslighting them with hope, patience and whatever sentiments that might suit our taste!

As for communication! My man ...you see eh that word COMMUNICATION is very powerful...do you know how much stress PBAT will save himself by just coming out on TV and addressing issues daily or at the very least be transparent about issues ...

We all know that we're still paying fuel subsidy...so why as recent as the August protest PBAT live broadcast, he still had to say we won't go back to it!!! LMAO! Like how many ppl does he think he fooling? Definitely not me and am sure not you!

If anyone else was elected, he'd have faced the same challenge. Buhari tried to remove subsidy in phases, but he failed woefully. So he took the drastic action of not providing for it in the budget and kept quiet. Fuel price never increased. Tinubu probably excitedly announced it and sent shock waves across board. Do you wonder why fuel price did not increase despite Buhari removing the subsidy and only spiked when Tinubu announced it?

The power of communication. What if he had kept quiet about it as his aides advised him to?

The indication is that we are dealing with a complex country and many fat cats who want the status quo. The biggest issue here is NNPC. The subsidy claims by NNPC is opaque and NNPC keeps paying subsidy...to whom? The same organization that imports fuel? NNPC could not tell us how much fuel was consumed daily. When they came up with a number, no one believed it, including NNPC. To fix Nigeria, NNPC needs to be made a truly Nigerian-owned company. The way NNPC collects loans, what have they done with them? How can 4 refineries collapse at once and cannot be fixed? Who is sabotaging Dangote's own?

This same problems extend to the power sector and all other sectors.

As for communication, the president did talk to the nation, but how many people are ready to listen? Remember when he spoke during the August riots, it didn't stop the riots. I think himself, the 36 state governors and all elected officials must roll up their sleeves and get to work. Let the work do the talking. Imagine the statement that can be made if people see 1,000 buses to ease transportation. Imagine the statement that would be made if cooking gas is so cheap. Imagine the statement that would be made when water supply is addressed in states.

When we were young, we used to carry seats from our houses with our names inscribed on them to sit in school. Imagine our joy when lorries brought desks to our school and we carried our chairs on our heads back home.

Just to sum up; there was never a time Nigeria was an eldorado. Pick up newspapers from the 80s. The problems then have not left us. During the Abacha years, before many of the young ones were born, there was Abacha stove. There was a time people prepared meals with saw dust. There was a time people used charcoal iron. Many of us studied without electricity as generator was a luxury.

I'd say nothing has changed except that the present generation are complaining and rightfully so. What we, the semi-OG, are trying to do is refocus the narrative so they hold everybody to account.

You do not need to throw shots at Peter Obi for your point to make sense.. it just shows your ill will towards PO is biased...PO said he will remove yes! Did he say he will do that without putting machineries on ground before removal, and besides he said he will remove it in phases..no where did he say on the first day he will remove it!!!

please this guys are all politicians...don't support any of them blindly because of whatever sentiments..

Your statement is valid on a lot of reasoning no doubt, but despite your indirect presidential appraisal, you forgot to also indict him for his lack of forthwith communication and transparency on certain sensitive issues, like the removal of fuel subsidy .. if this is how PBAT wants to run Nigeria, then am sorry it doesn't bode well for me and you and our children's future..

I was quite disappointed with the lack of communication with the horde of presidential aides. At a point, I had to lobby here for Bayo Onanuga, and he was appointed within two days. I am not taking credit for that, but to tell you that I made efforts on my own to fill up the lacuna in information management. I am also not Bayo Onanuga.

The issue is that when there is no communication, there is a vacuum and people fill up those vacuums with what they like.

I am independent and was not commissioned by anyone. I am also not known to those in power. Maybe they read what I write sometimes.

Notice that Peter Obi never referred to President Tinubu as "President".

If Peter Obi does not accept Tinubu as President, then why does he expect President Tinubu to do what he wants?

He calls on Tinubu to come out and tell Nigerians his real name, date of birth, schools he attended, and where he did his youth service.

But in the unlikely event Tinubu does this, will Peter Obi's mob believe it? He has told us he attended CSU, and the school has confirmed same. They chose not to believe.

Why are they now doubting all David Hundeyin's fabrications?

I now address the President's media team led by Chief Ajuri Ngelale. I know Ajuri's people are reading, and this is useful because it concerns the image of the President.

Ajuri, you people have allowed the Office of the President to be commonized by election losers. Since 1999, no one born of a woman insulted the CinC the way these election losers are doing. Therefore, it is time to ACT! It is time to clip the wings of the opposition. If you think these evil mob leader and his master Atiku would stop, they won't! It is time to start a sustained media attack on Peter Obi and Atiku.

Atiku has a lot of corruption materials in the public domain, especially using his ex-wife, Jennifer Douglas to launder money into the United States from Nigeria. There is a whole report on that. There was also a US Senator sent to jail for Atiku's activities. Remind Nigerians of that report. Also his activities in the sale of FG assets should be released.

As for Peter Obi, he is already a celebrated failure. Release details of his Pandora dealings to the public.

Ajuri, you are too gentle for the job. Therefore, get FFK and Bayo Onanuga and let them face Atiku and Obi.

President Bola Tinubu GCFR, cannot be defenseless against Atiku and Obi. He was a man of courage, but now he is demonstrating needless weakness that may ruin his administration.

Let us forget about 2027 for now. Even if Bola Tinubu sits as President for one week, you guys MUST MAKE IT COUNT!!!

It is time to bring down Atiku and Obi; they don't mean well for the country. They just want to rule.

I am not educated.

I barely finished primary 4 before I dropped out to be responding to your level of thinking.

Since you are educated, can you answer the following:

(1) When governors received what can do a lot more than what they receive now, what did they do with the funds? What investments were made in education to enable me return to school to think like you?

(2) Do you realize insecurity played a crucial role to contributing to food inflation? Are you aware that Boko Haram became a behemoth in 2009? Are you aware of the historical farmers-herders crisis? Are you aware that by borrowing money to pay for subsidies and subsidizing dollars for the rich dug a hole in our finances?

(3) Are you aware that we were sitting on a ticking time bomb with useless leaders? Are you aware that in 2014, a finance minister wanted to set money aside and these same governors fought and shared the money? Can you explain what they did with the money?

(4) Are you aware that Buhari released excess crude funds to oil-producing states, including Delta? Are you aware they never told us, until Wike exposed them? Until today, no one person has asked those governors what they spent the money on.

(5) Are you remotely aware that state governors have the wherewithal to generate their own funds? Let them come out and tell us what they generate to augment the pittance you claim they receive from FG.

It is also painful to see that the leaders are living la Vida loca while the led are suffering.

My submission is that everyone must do their bit and everyone must he held accountable. That we put all the blame on one person while ignoring the other subheads diverts attention from those who have responsibilities to cater for their states. Remember the Oyo State governor said FG cannot dictate to him on the issue of LG autonomy. That is acceptable when money is involved, but not acceptable when other matters like taking care of the electorate is involved.

While it seems criticisms of the president are apt, certain facts must be cleared.

Presidential transportation worldwide is a serious security matter. In our case, air transport of the president is handled by the Nigerian Airforce. If the airforce says a jet is unfit to fly the president because it might have stayed in service longer than specified, hence a potential aviation threat, it is only fair that we listen to them. We do not need to like them.

Those suggesting that the president must fly commercial or use his personal vehicles (like Deji Adeyanju) are not aware of the potential security threats. A Nigerian head of state was assassinated in broad daylight in his official car, while another one was murdered for not taking their security serious.

The aircraft here does not belong to Tinubu. It belongs to the Federal Government. Once Tinubu leaves power, he won't take the jet with him. So those accusing Tinubu of purchasing a private jet for himself are being ludicrous.

Yesterday, Charly Boy lied that the president's official car, Cardilac Escalade is worth almost 1 billion naira. A simple internet search showed that the vehicle is about 250 million naira. Still expensive, why did Charly Boy have to lie? When Buhari exited power, he didn't leave with the Maybach. The vehicle was not his. The Cardilac does not belong to Tinubu. DSS handles his ground transportation. Why not question DSS for proposing that vehicle?

And for those who are just realizing, the Cardilac Escalade SUV had been in use since last year and sighted several times in the convoy, how come they are just seeing it? The vice president is driven in one of such vehicles. How come they have not seen it?

Anyway, Kenneth Okonkwo says people are dying of hunger and there is no fuel or electricity. It is not Tinubu's job to cultivate arable land nationwide. It is not Tinubu's job to provide buses to transport people within states. These are things state governors can easily undertake on their own, and even local governments. We have seen the Niger State governor buy such buses. Once the burden of transportation is removed, the issue of fuel price would not bother so many.

The fact is that the president is being blamed for policies, but all presidential candidates agreed that subsidy on petrol needed to be removed. Even the messianic pontiff said he'd remove it on day 1. Suddenly, Tinubu is being condemned for taking the decision to save us from economic doom. It didn't make sense that we were borrowing to pay subsidies. Also, the removal of the parallel trade of fx was to tackle the fx fraud that drained our resources.

This meant that increased allocation could be used for developmental purposes in the states. What do the state governors do instead? We find them doing Hajj subsidies and Ramadan feeding, purchasing vehicles for traditional rulers, buying wheelbarrows to turn their unemployed youth to mai-barrow in the markets, and stacking funds for elections they are not sure of living to partake in.

Dear governors, learn one basic thing: from what happened in Kano during the August riots, when people take to the streets, they'd target governors first and they can only move up the ladder once they have brought you down.

You still have time to work for your people and address the basic problems of food security and transportation within your state. We shall criticize the president for the things we must criticize him on.

"People are dying of hunger. No food, no fuel, no finance, no electricity, and President Tinubu is buying a presidential jet. This is the height of insensitivity," Okonkwo wrote.

Interesting.

This is what should have been done for the presidential elections by claimants to victory.

Perhaps they did and found out they lost and started chasing shadows.

Young ones, arise!

Do not wait for leaders to do the right thing. Challenge them to do it. It is your right.

There are more than 1,455 elected officials, appointed ones are even twice or thrice that number.

Your refuse is not evacuated, hold your local government responsible. Your streets are dirty, gather and go to the council. You have no drinking water, hold the leaders closest to you responsible. You are taxed excessively by local touts, hold your local government responsible.

The heat you put on the president, share the heat on everyone.

Conquer the fear that holds you back! You have no reason to suffer while the leaders live in affluence.

Since last year, allocations to states increased. Ask your governors what they are doing with your funds. The practice of governors purchasing big SUVs for traditional rulers must stop. Any traditional ruler should be able to purchase a car for himself or his community can do it. If the community is poor, there is nothing wrong in riding a horse or donkey or trekking.

The practice of using state funds to pay for Hajj or Ramadan feeding must be resisted. How come no one is talking about feeding the poor after Ramadan?

Challenge your state governors to publish monthly expenditures and tie it to allocation and IGR. Do not be taken for granted. Those leaders are there because you voted them. If they won't honour you, vote them out.

And please, start organizing as local government autonomy has been granted. Converge and support one another. You can elect your leaders from your ranks and develop your states and communities.

When you win, forget about tomorrow and your political future. Use your present position to develop your area.

That is your legacy. That is your future.

Omoyele Sowore, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, who scored less than 0.1% of the total votes in the last presidential elections, you need to answer the following:

(1) Why did you find it convenient to run away from the country few weeks to the protests to spend time with your family while motivating others to put their lives on the line?

(2) No mention has been made of those who were killed, their names are unknown, their families have not been visited, and they have not benefitted from the funds that were given to you. Were they collateral damage for your cause?

(3) You are calling for another round of protests in October, would you be on ground to lead that protest?

(4) You claimed the protests succeeded, apart from public property burnt and people's houses bungled, it seems as if the protests never happened. Even the media coverage seem to have died down. This was not the case for the EndSARS protests. If you claim the protests succeeded, there were 15 demands you presented, how many of them have been honoured?

(5) You blamed Nigerian students and encouraged them to come out like their Bangladeshi counterparts. The Bangladeshi students were led by someone. Who will lead the students you are riling up?

(6) When will you return to the country, and when will you visit those who died for your cause?

Politics / Sowore: EndBadGovernance Protests Successful by emkz: 5:18pm On Aug 18
Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, and the convener of the Take-It-Back movement, Omoyele Sowore, has commended the success of the 10-day #EndBadGovernance protests in Nigeria.

Sowore highlighted the achievements of the protests, stressing that it succeeded before, during and after the demonstration that was strategically planned and executed.

Speaking during an X Space discussion titled "#EndBadGovernance in Nigeria Protest: What Next?", held on Saturday, Sowore insisted that the demonstration was a success.

The convener of #RevolutionNow Movement explained that the first 10 days of the anti-bad governance protests were announced almost a month in advance, giving the movement ample time to gain momentum.

"The oppressed Nigerians succeeded before the protest, during the protest, and continue to succeed after the protest," he emphasized, noting that this marked three distinct waves of success.

"Before the protest, we knew what we were doing despite concerns that the announcement might allow the government to sabotage it.

"As the saying goes, “‘Anything not properly planned is planned to fail,’ but we were prepared. We identified 15 different tactics used to try and sabotage the protests," he said.

Sowore said in the South-South, they brought out former militant Asari Dokubo, who threatened that no protests would occur there.

He said, "In Lagos and the Southwest, they distributed money street by street and threatened people with thugs. They even announced that all secret cult members had been relocated to Lagos.

"In Abuja, they used heavy-handed tactics, but despite these threats, we prevailed."

He noted that the protests started strong on the first day, especially in Abuja.

Sowore said that despite the initial skepticism, by the end of the day, the protests had spread, with thousands joining in Kano, Maiduguri, and other places.

He said by 4 pm, it was clear that the protests had gripped the entire nation, adding that those who thought it would fizzle out were surprised.

Sowore said, "On the second day, the military was drafted in to intimidate people. Our northern colleagues faced harassment in Sokoto and Kaduna, with arrests in Kano, but we managed to get them released in time for the protests."

He said the army even threatened the media to prevent coverage, but this didn’t discourage people as more cities, including Port Harcourt, Kano, and Yobe joined in full force.

According to Sowore, "This was one of the most extensive protests we’ve seen in Nigeria in a long time, both in terms of geographic reach and the unity of the oppressed".

"I want to keep thanking those who participated, especially those on TikTok who kept mobilizing people.

"Thanks also to those who protested in London, New York, and other places I haven’t mentioned. In terms of reach, impact, and demography, this was a protest that spanned all generations."

He added that in Lagos, there was a judgment that restricted protests to Ojota, and in Abuja, to the MKO Abiola National Stadium.

"We see this all the time whenever there's a mass revolt—the ruling class often overreaches. One of the first casualties of these protests were those court orders. As soon as the protests began, people broke through any barriers," he said.

Sowore added that in Lagos, the protests at Ojota were well attended, but there were also smaller groups in Alausa and other places. In Abuja, the court orders quickly became irrelevant.

He said a federal judge even refused to issue more orders because they were starting to sound ridiculous.

"Ogun State had an order, but protests still happened there, not confined to the designated areas.

"These court orders failed completely to prevent the protests. The intention was not to manage where people could exercise their rights but to prevent protests altogether," he said.

He said when the protests succeeded, even those at the designated areas like Ojota and the National Stadium were attacked by the police and Department of State Services.

According to him, the judges didn’t care about this, showing that the orders were not legitimate.

"As I’ve always said, if the law keeps breaking the people, the people will eventually break the law to free themselves," he added.

What about the owner of Matrix Energy implicated yesterday for receiving crude oil allocation from NNPC and importing dirty fuel diesel from Russia, blending it in Togo and landing it in Nigeria?

What about former Niger Delta militants responsible for crude oil theft in partnership with NNPC officials?

What about NNPC topshots, past and present, who have made so much money from their businesses?

The tale won't be complete without retired military officials and naval officials who lobby to get to the Niger Delta. Remember that there was a military outpost close to where one of the export pipelines was breached.

I still think there is more after the exposure of the owner of Matrix Energy yesterday. Please reveal more. The nation deserves to know all those against our national progress.

I have no business with Obi and I certainly hope you are right about Hope Uzodinma. You will agree that most of the nation was scandalized by that judgment. If it was a matter of counting legitimate votes, I doubt so many people across the nation would have been so shocked. People simply didnt believe the man won at all.

People did not read, they just ran with the rumour that he was Supreme Court governor. I try to read some of these things to be sure of how certain decisions were arrived at. The judgements are so detailed that you'd see the logic as to why they arrived at their decisions.

I also went through the Nigerian courts. When I read the judgement against me, I didn't fault the Appeal Court panel.

All I say, let us read so we can have authority when we speak on certain issues.

I will bookmark this comment of yours and show you as evidence when tinubu leaves office... The masses should keep enduring till death... Okay ooo

Let's have faith. A wise man does not go into too many fights at once.

Many leaders kick the can down the road as they don't want to gamble with their re-election. That Tinubu took on the behemoth of the subsidy scam and fx market without thinking of his re-election only tells me he is desperate for results.

Nigerians are resilient people. They won't die and the pain from the policies won't last throughout Tinubu's tenure.
