Nigerians Qualify As UK Launches Scale-up Visa For Skilled Workers The United Kingdom (UK), says foreign nationals can now apply for its scale-up visa effective August 22. According to a statement released on Monday, the government said the new visa type will avail UK’s top high-growth businesses greater flexibility and power to entice talents from anywhere in the world. What is a scale-up visa? It is a route for foreign talents who have been sponsored by a scale-up company in the UK and who have the skills needed to enable the growth of scale-up businesses. The professions qualified for the scale-up visa include scientists, engineers, programmers, software developers, research and development professionals, economists, architects, technicians, financial and investment advisers. Unlike other sponsored visas, the scale-up visa allows businesses to employ high-skilled individuals who will receive two years’ leave to remain in the UK without requiring further sponsorship or permission beyond the first six months. “This will further enhance the government’s overall offer to businesses through the points-based immigration system to hire eligible employees from anywhere in the world. The Scale-up visa will give them greater flexibility to hire, often in-demand, talent they need so they can go to the next level, while boosting the UK’s high-skilled pool,” the statement reads. “Companies, including small businesses and those in the tech and financial services sectors, that have achieved growth of 20% or more in either employment or turnover year-on-year for at least 3 years and employed a minimum of 10 people at the start of the 3 years will be eligible to sponsor talented individuals through the Scale-up visa.” Kevin Foster, the UK minister of safe and legal migration, said with the scale-up visa, businesses will get the right level of support “to go to the next level”. “Through our Scale-up visa, we’re enabling businesses to focus on their growth and innovation by giving them more freedom to bring in the diverse skills and experience they need, making them more attractive on an international stage,” Foster said. “By supporting our high-growth tech, financial services and small businesses, we are ensuring the UK remains a global hub for emerging technologies and innovation while enhancing productivity across the economy – creating jobs, growth and prosperity across Britain. 5 Likes 1 Share |

The Presidency of Nigeria is the toughest job in Africa. It needs someone who is intellectually savvy, physically strong, mentally aware, globally informed, academically sound and cosmopolitan. It also needs someone with grit and stamina. He or she must have youthfulness on his or her side with the accompanying energy. He must be a go-between the young and the old generations. The Presidency needs someone who can represent the nation in the comity of nations, one who can command respect through his speeches, and have the ability to articulate his or her points. He must be able to sustain useful dialogues with other world leaders who are mostly digital savvy and more contemporary. The Presidency also needs one who can occasionally communicate with Nigerians through the media, unlike Buhari who rarely grants media interviews but uses mouthpieces who have poorly communicated his intentions and have largely engaged in needless tirades with those who demand accountability. Democracy is strengthened by frequent communication between the Presidency and the electorates. Look at Boris Johnson, he grants media interviews almost thrice to five times daily. He grants at least 3 media broadcasts a week. Nigeria needs an up-and-running president so that we can feel each other's pulses. Finally, the Presidency needs to be someone with no local and international baggage of corruption charges, fraud; shady businesses of drugs and cocaine and other detestable blemishes. The Presidency needs a figure who earns the confidence of all and sundry based on track records. Although he or she might not be perfect. However, he or she must have a level of transparency, accuracy and verifiable biography and source of wealth. He must not be bugged down with the temptations of rewarding cronies with dubious characters, or patronising violent non-state actors like thugs, bandits, terrorists and other agents of violence and organised crime. To this end, Peter Obi is on the right side of history. 11 Likes 1 Share |

gistbite: Please connect me with your agent. I used a polish agent last year that will even prepare a contract biding the deal where it's specifically stated that money will be refunded if he gets you a fake work permit. With that contract you can sue him if you want to recover your money. I was still preparing to apply then Ukraine happened. |

gistbite: I met her on Facebook. And many people are even commenting on her posts and no one has ever accused her of fraud. My fear is that she said no refund of money if it's not successful. And i saw her refunding money to others that sent her part payment for Denmark work visa to the tune of 1.4 million. And she said she won't refund UK.. |

Good morning everyone. An agent sent me this message I pasted below. Do you think it's genuine? Can an agent get Caregiver job from Nigeria? it's a 2months process. The first stage: is a certificate. That’s getting the caregiver certificate that’s what you are paying for Second stage: job offer. Third stage. CV and Cover letter. Fourth stage: certificate of sponsorship. Fifth stage: TB / Police clearance certificate. Covid vaccination evidence card. Sixth stage :Then go to vi for biometric and drop your passport. Their visa fee and biometric, TB is on them. Visa is is 133k Tb is 57 for adult Children 0-11 23k Individual 3m Family 5m Deposit 700k £2000 monthly salary normal work hour Standard work hour is 9 hours daily Comes with one month accommodation and flight for the principal applicant Visa is 5 years, 2years probation that is to check how capable on the job First come first served, few slots left. You’ll pay for your visa fee, Tuberculoses test, police character and that of your family if you’re going with family as well. Have your transcripts ready which will be used in processing your NARIC and you will be making a payment of 140 pounds for NARIC and that is not covered in the 3m or 5m, you will be paying to NARIC but if you don't have transcripts, then you'll write IELTS exam. Be informed that only the principal applicant gets flight ticket covered, certificate of sponsorship, caregiver certificate, job and one month accommodation as with the 5m family package but if you're applying as an individual you get all these covered in the 3m, the dependents of family package only get access to the visa and the husband can get a job on his own when he gets there. You will be providing your police character clearance, CV and cover letter yourself but if you need help with the CV and cover letter, I have a contact who charges 7k to write it for you. The payment doesn't cover your visa fee and TB test, you are to pay for that separately 1 Like |

Peter Obi is the only one, among several Presidential Hopeful today, who didn't contribute in bringing Buhari to power. That alone says a lot about his ability to take good decisions. DrAkpamudehe: 7 Likes 1 Share |
