Lindelof that is a coward in the air as CCB? Dalot that spends nearly half the time trying to pass to out opponents as RCB?

de Ligt has prevented so many potential episodes of chaos and confusion in our defence by being brave and dominant in the air that he starts as CCB for me. Maguire is another option.

At RCB the best options are Maz (who has been our best player this season) and Yoro, and not Dalot. Lindelof can be an option as RCB because of his passing and his weakness in the air won’t be too much of an issue there.

A fit Shaw is better than Martinez at LCB. He is bigger, faster, and can cover wide areas while being a good passer also. Since Shaw is never fit however, Martinez gets the job by default. By next season we might have someone else there though.

Ugarte and Mainoo is my preferred pair in midfield. The cover each other’s weaknesses well.
Collyer is a dark horse that might sneak in ahead of more senior options like Case and Eriksen.
