I studied a similar course. I applied to Concordia university and University of Windsor. Got admission in both but I chose university of Windsor. I believe you'll also get admission there.

For CIBC, fill the application details on the banks website. A payment instruction will be generated for you, take it to your bank for the transfer.
Ensure your dorm account is funded with the required amount in one of the acceptable currencies. Also, the funds must be transferred from the applicants account (not sponsor or any other person on applicants behalf).

Thanks. Have you paid for it? Which bank did you use please?

Thank you for this, i think Qlife is better though. It was very accommodating and the staffs were caring. We werent crwding the whole place they resume work by 8am but those that came early sat outside under a canopy with full AC and TV. Ill reconmend them. The test fee is 40,000 except youve had some viral illnesses before.

I just have to agree with you concerning the reception. Outside the gate where we sat, dust and ants disturbed a lot. Upon entering and completing the blood sample collection, there were 6 chairs only. The rest of us had to either stand or look for building block to sit on.

I don’t even know if it’s possible to swap or not. I was rather trying to know the details of the appointment, furthermore if the swap was gonna happen, don’t you think there will be some sort of private communications anyways? To clarify, I’m not trying to contribute negatively to this or any other forum , you just seems to have mistaken my intentions or taken my words out of context.

I did my medicals at IOM on the 27th. When I booked this appointment, they haven't resumed online booking. However, when I discovered that online booking had started, I filled the online form and picked the nearest available date which is 1st of February. That's how I came about 2 medical dates.

With what I saw on the day of my medicals, I believe it's impossible to swap dates.
Anyways, let me brief you of medical protocols at IOM Lagos..

I got to the venue around 7:00am. I met some people hanging around. We were informed that the gate will be opened by 8am. At 8am, people crowded the gate and the security man came out to address us. He brought out a list and asked those with 8am appointment to form a line. He confirmed their name from the list and asked them to enter. Next the 9am were marched in and it came to the turn of 10am. Mind you, I entered around 9am so the time was not a barrier.
Upon entering, you will be asked to show your international passport and your receipt of payment. You will be signed in by a machine which takes a picture of either your palm or your face.
There are several buildings which caters for different countries like Newzealand, Canada, UK, USA, ...... You will then be directed to Canada building.
There, you will be directed to fill this Google form:. /iomha
Afterwards, you will be asked of your passport. Next, you will be directed to a room where your blood sample will be taken.
After a while, your passport will be returned to you with a checklist of other tests you'll undergo.

Next, it's the chest x-ray.
Next, a urine collection bottle will be handed over to you. You'll fill it halfway with your urine and wait to be attended to by a nurse.
When called in by the nurse, you will be asked series of questions which you must truthfully answer. Your weight and height will be checked. You will also read some letters from a board to test your eyes. The urine sample will be tested with a strip and disposed of.

Next, you will be led to a waiting room where you will see a doctor. The doctor will ask you to wear the hospital gown with minimal clothing underneath. He'll check your feet, stomach, chest, eyes and go over your initial tests (x-ray, etc). I was asked to wait for an additional one hour by the doctor because the x-ray was sent to Nairobi for analysis and the result wasn't available yet. After an hour, I was informed that I was done with my medical test and could leave.

c'est Fini.

Good evening everyone ! please is there anyone here that has a medical booked for either Qlife or IOM for next week but won't be able to go cos of any reasons? I've got a medical booked for the middle of February but I'm hoping for a sooner date, and I'll be glad to trade medical appointment date with anyone who might be willing to shift their appointments to later days. Thanks.

I actually have an appointment booked for tomorrow at IOM Lagos but with the way it's done online, I don't think it's possible to swap. During registration, name, passport no,address were used to generate a reference ID which is particular to each person.

Does anyone know how to book an appointment for medicals at IOM and what the cost might be. None of the numbers on their website is working and there’s no way you can book on their website unlike Qlife.

There are some annoying questions people ask on this threads that makes one wonder if they even went to school at all. Try and read through some threads in part 16, 17 & 18 and you will be well informed of what it takes to apply to schools and process study permit. After reading, then any clarification you have will be easily rendered.
Pleas desist from being lazy. If you can't read, get an AGENT. Some will ask questions that can be easily gotten from GOOGLE.
Don't get me wrong. No man is an island and we all need clarifications from time to time.
Thanks.

My advice is DON'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THOSE GUYS! But if the owner asks you anything, feign ignorance and advice him neutrally that he should be careful. Maybe he should install CCTV if he's serious about it. Then, conclude with this Nigerian conclusion: Let's thank God it's turkey that was stolen and not we human beings. This is just to douse any tension.

Lemme share a story of my grandmother. My grandmother lived in a building with a family. The family was made up of 2 wives. One day, the elder wife left for the market leaving the younger wife at home. The younger wife took a pregnant goat belonging to the elder wife and dropped it from a 2 storey building. The goat died and the impact removed the foetus from her stomach. It was a gruesome sight. My grandmother kept her mouth shut when asked about the dead goat. The other wife lied that the goat was killed by a careless driver. Unfortunately, when the younger wife who was also pregnant at that time wanted to give birth, she gave birth to a stillbirth. KARMA

The problem with Yoruba is UNITY. If 10 Yorubas hold a secret meeting to do something tomorrow, don't be surprised, either one of them sneaks to tell the person concerned as par friendship or one of them tells his wife who in turn can't keep shut.

See as different factions are holding different views concerning the insecurity that affects all of them. Instead of the so called Afenifere to back him up and reprimand him in secret, they are disgracing themselves. The so-called Afenifere, what one thing have they ever stood up for?

Family / Re: How Do You Feel When Your Wife Suddenly Starts Looking Older Than You? by englois: 8:18pm On Jan 20, 2021
The OP is funny sha! Though I'm not excusing your wife but can you describe yourself too?
Note: No offense intended

(1) Are you bald or not? You no say some baldness eh! Make I no talk my mind. We have front baldness, middle baldness, center-parting baldness, etc

(2). Do you have Potbelly or not? What's the size? 3-months pregnancy, 6-months or just a little.

Hope it's not pot calling the kettle black sha.

We women tend to lose some confidence in our body after childbirth. Is it the slightly saggy breast, belly fat, etc. I have a friend that after giving birth, her shoe size changed to bigger.
First thing to combat this is to communicate.
The first thing you'll do is to appreciate her very well. Thank her for birthing your kids, for taking care of your kids, the home and your humble sef. Thank her very well. She may even become emotional when you thank her from your heart.
Then, gently proceed by asking her that "Does she like herself the way she is presently or lemme rephrase "If you are to change anything about yourself, what will it be?
Don't be surprised when she opens up to you that she want to do this or that. You can then take it up from there. Maybe help her with gym registration, taking her on a date etc.

But OP, just thinking aloud. Hope you've not body shamed her before. That thing does a lot of damage on a woman's self esteem and makes it difficult to change.

Just my view though.

hi please, can i ask a question real quick. Let’s say I get my visa in February, can i travel to Canada the same month when my classes are starting april or is there a certain amount of days before your resumption date you can come cause I want to work a little. I’m 17 sorry, i don’t know much about this

If you go before resumption date, you can't work. Consider the money you'll spend on accomodation, feeding and other provisions. If you are up to it though, you can go like a month before.

This is my view, let's hear from others.

Hi guys!

I'm fairly new here. Been reading and catching up. Wish I joined this thread before my spouse applied. We ended up using an immigration consultant living in Canada.

Please is there anyone who applied in November and has received an approval?

Hubby applied alone in November (after a refusal in September). We are yet to get any feedback from our consultant.

She also added all the NSE requirements (IELTS, mybankstatement, upfront medicals) even though we did not get NSE request.

His classes were to start on the 11th of January but he has deferred to March intake since there's been no response.

Anyone in our shoes please? We are getting so antsy waiting for a response.

It shall end in praise by God's grace

I guess you mean he deferred to May not March. Well, has he done medicals before the initial rejection, if yes await good news. If no, he should go ahead and do upfront medical. By the way, some even applied in December and have gotten PPR. It's not easy to be kept waiting but just be patient.
It will surely end in praise.
