Family / Re: Why Do Marriages Fail? by Fammie(f): 5:13pm On Aug 17, 2009
I am not saying that I'm a victim or doing what is right. If the couples allow 3rd party into marriage, such marriage can hit the rock within a minute.

Thanks

A lot of factors can cause marriage failures, especially the bad in-laws,

Family / Re: Coping With Nagging Mother-in-law by Fammie(f): 9:58pm On Jul 31, 2009
At first, he didnt want me to stay alone, becos my papers are not ready, and with this economy meltdown,,i have to stay in Nigeria for now, becos there are no jobs over there, and i work in one of the leading bank in Nigeria.

But becos of the stress i'm going thru with his family, he allowed me to stay alone now. So, i have accommodation of my own and im stayng with my mum and my son.

Thanks people for your advices.

To know how terrible it is, when my husband travelled back to US, i stayed with my brother in law and i was badly treated, i was heavily pregnant, they will cook without giving me any food to eat, it was really hell,

Even, when i put to bed i stayed with my MIL , cos i had my baby thru CS, my mum had to stay with me. MIL showed me hell, she cursed my mother and I, that we are fetish and that what i sued to marry her son, and a lot of things that i cannot mention here, i am sorry to say, i don't hate my MIL, but i don't like her either,
Family / Re: Coping With Nagging Mother-in-law by Fammie(f): 9:06pm On Jul 31, 2009
I think i have a terrible MIL . At first, i loved her, showed her love. Most of the time i always send money to her every other month. All of a sudden, she just changed because her 1st born told her something about me, which are all lies anyway,

Actually, my husband's brother didn't like me, cos they wanted him to marry someone else. I tried to satisfy all the members of his family, but they kept on planing evils,

Most times, I'll ask my husband what is my offence, he'll just tell me that i didn't do anything for his family. And that his wedding was so sudden to them, (my husband stays in US)

It's hell to have such a family as in-laws, but my father-in-law is so wonderful and he likes me a lot.
Romance / Re: Should I Marry Her Without Courting Her? by Fammie(f): 8:29am On Apr 30, 2007
My dear friend, i'll advice you to know the girl very well, you can come to Nigeria to spend few weeks or invite her to London and im telling you that you'll be able to pick out some things about her,but you wont be blind with love.
I just started a r/ship with a guy in USA, he is planning to come to Nigeria or i'll travel to London so that we can meet there and spend sometimes together.
Please, i have a brother who did exactly what you wanted to do and he is regretting it now. Marriage is more than i love you stuff oo.It is an institution that has one entry but no exit, unless you want to break the wall to go out i.e divorce. Think very well
Thank you

Politics / Re: Jimi Agbaje's Picture Was Omitted On Ballot Papers by Fammie(f): 8:24am On Apr 16, 2007
Omitting Jimi Agbaje's picture is very unfair. It made the election not to be free and fair. More than 90%of Nigerians are illiterates and they all had time to register. Even most literates were busy in their offices and businesses, so they didnt register. I'm very sure that the illiterates would be looking for Jimi's pictures to vote for him, because they might not recognise his Logo and cannot read his name.
This is very annoying and INEC really committed open fraud. Although, i still prefer Fashola to Obanikoro
Investment / Re: Investment: Bank Shares Or A Plot Of Land? by Fammie(f): 8:02am On Apr 16, 2007
The guy asked for First Bank shares and not just any bank or company's share. First Bank is one of the best banks in Nigeria and they are doing very well in all parameters. I have First Bank shares and my investments in it has doubled greatly. For instance, i bought First bank shares at N18.00 in 2002 and today it is around N40.00, with yearly bonus shares and dividend and believe me, it'll still get to around N55.00 after their PO. Calculate the returns based on the units purchased.
For Landed property, the risk is very high if you dont get it from a good source. I had been duped before and it took me like 3 years before i could get my money back from the seller(who was a friend of mine). But if you get it from a good source, it's a good investment too.
Moreover, it's very easy to dispose shares but not landed property.

Thanks
