TEECANN:

@Salford1, freeradical, vcole et al

Kindly help with your thoughts on settling and living in either of these Alberta cities:

Calgary OR Edmonton

Which of these two will you easily choose above the other if your situation is as below:

Accountant/HR job seeking couple
With kids.

In terms of kids' school, decently priced accommodation, decently priced utilities, community safety generally(less community gangstarism), decently priced groceries, general social outlooks of both.

Thank you all in advance!

It will end in praise IJN!

I was about asking the same question when I saw this. Meanwhile, I am a Civil Engineering professional, structural engr to be specific while my spouse will be pursuing postgraduate degree. We have two kids age 2 and 4.

Experience seniors, your inputs ooo....

Hi my e-family,

Pls people my husband transferred me the complete POF and i invested it in fixed deposit. Do i still have to print my 6 months statement of account?

You only need to print the fixed deposit certificate. It is important to also provide the transaction receipt for the transfer from your husband, ur bank statement showing the incoming transfer and provide an LOE to that effect.

However, providing the six months statement is as good, just an additional proof.

Hey, my man 40manlappy, thanks a lot. I remember you answered the very first question I asked on this from about POF. You might not know because I later changed my profile name. You have been wonderful, God bless you.

I say amen to your prayers.

Good day, Please I need clarification on this issue,. If undergraduate degree of an applicant differs from his present field (where he works) however he has accumulated few years of experience in the field. Can the person apply for the express entry using the experience in his new found role and will the undergraduate degree undermine his application.

there is no issue with undergraduate degree being different from current experience. You can apply

That's the way to go @Faskey.

It reminds me of waiting endlessly for LASU to release my PT result some years ago. I heard it could take over ten years or more to get it released, with loads of backlogs.

I woke up one midnight, vexing and wrote directly to the VC. VC responded same midnight and the rest na history. That same week, omo my result/ profile was released and even got an official letter from the school signed by the DVC, Academics apologizing for the delay.

Welldone and Congrats @Faskey

That's the spirit, some things need desperate measures.

Thanks a lot

It's PPR guys....I am so happy right now, after lonnnng wait period. I am a silent reader in this great platform but do come here once in a while to drop some comments.

I feel I should update my timeline :

AOR: June 30th, 2017

Medical passed : July 20th, 2017

BG NA and IP1: July 21st, 2017

IP2: August 9, 2017

Ordered GCMS sometimes late September and realised they are conducting security screening for me.

January 22, 2018 : sent an email to the prime minister and minister of immigration complaining about long waiting period.

PPR : January 23,2018

I wouldn't know whether the mail I sent was a coincidence or not, but I give all praise to Almighty Allah.

207 days post AOR!

I wish everyone else waiting for this good news a speedy PPR.

Thanks a lot for your response, do you think he should make the transfer now and write the LOE when ITA comes or he should wait for ITA before making the transfer

Now or later doesn't matter, he can transfer it anytime. So far you guys re going together and the money is available already. Nice LOE will be enough to explain yourselves.

pls help

Your case is peculiar and one of many cases that have been witnessed. In my opinion based on what I've seen, it's a simple one since you are the PA and you are travelling with your hubby, the best option is for him to transfer to your account while you provide LOE to that effect stating that the money is meant for your POF. IRCC won't need your hubby's bank letter/statement at all, just yours.

I feel buying Tbills is additional headache

Hi Family,

Please I need help understanding this. Am I required to fill in my university graduation date?

I don't want to mess up my application.

Yes, that's correct, your university graduation date is what is needed here.

Okay, I see.

No, it won't, they will only require a letter in CIC format stating average balance for past six month at the time you are submitting. At worst, if you can't get the letter from you bank in required format, you print your six month balance as at when submitting post ITA which won't even show your activities between now and 2019.

immanuella3:

Yes I am waiting because I want to get a Year of work experience. I just graduated from university. So do you think it’ll raise any flags if I send the money to my account for POF continuously from now while I’m getting my one year work experience and apply in 2019?

Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 2 by Faskey: 3:56pm On Nov 09, 2017
Hmm, if I may ask, why waiting all the way till 2019 before you start? Waiting to complete 1 year job experience or finish Bachelors degree? If either of the above doesn't apply, then I wonder why you want to wait ooo.

If its just because of POF, I'm not sure you should wait that long.

I have come to realize one thing in life, get what you need to get as soon as now, tomorrow might be late. Who knows, CIC might have made changes that might not be favorable any longer.

An example is the tie-back change that was made against yesterday draw, now, not all candidates that have equal minimum cut-off will get ITA unlike the previous scenario. This means that, if two candidates have 458 (latest crs cut-off) and there is need to drop one of them due to maximum number of possible invitation being reached, the candidate that fills his/her profile later would be dropped.

So my brother/sister, abeg, weigh your options and start ASAP.

immanuella3:

Serious answer this time please it’s important thanks in advance

Hi everyone,

kindly advise on the best course of action.... i already created my express entry profile using my 2years experience after my Msc (2013-2015) however after seeing yesterday's saga i'm thinking of including my nysc work experience(2010-2011) so as to improve my scores, its the same Noc and also with the same company where i had my post msc work experience.

my questions are:
1. can i include my nysc experience now despite the two year gap (the two year gap is the reason why i never included it in cic forms)
You can include it. Regardless of gap, IRCC requires at least one year experience in the past 10 years, and since the NYSC was in 2010, its still valid. In fact, you ought to have included it in the first place.
2. how do i go about it? kindly note that wasn't my ppa but i was able to work there for a whole year (dec 2010 to dec 2011)
You will only need to edit your express entry profile, straightforward to do.

Dear elders in the house, please help a young woman. Ejowo ooooooooooooooooooooooo

You'll need to show proof of the information you gave us in your Express Entry profile. We may refuse your application if the information in your profile is different from what you submit.

If we find that you misrepresented yourself (gave us false information or left out important details), we could:

refuse your application
find you inadmissible
bar you for five years from applying to come to Canada for any reason

The statement above is provided on the CIC website. It is important to maintain what was filled in the express entry profile especially information regarding ECA because they asked for the date ECA was completed during profile creation.

As others have said, I will also advice that you decline this ITA now, with your high score, you should surely get another ITA in the next draw.

Start focusing on preparing your documents and POF if you haven't started.

Wish you the best.

My Canny hopefuls, please dont ignore me. Kindly advice your brother.

PefHouse:

Haba Boss 13 & Elders in the house,

Its your boy again o! Are you saying I cant show sale of landed property as inflow for POF, because that's exactly what I intend to use. See below documents I have, note I don't have a CofO. Which should I include? Or is land sale a risky POF altogether?

Proof of Property Ownership
- Deed of Assignment (between me and original seller)
- Receipts from original seller ( the person i bought from)
- Bank transfer to Original seller.
- Registered survey plan ( in my name)
- Affidavit for personal property
-Letter of Good standing from my lawyers
Proof of Property Sale
- Receipts between myself and new buyer
- New deed of assignment to the new buyer
- Account statement showing inflow to my account

I believe you are good to go with these documents. I did the same for part of my POF and I only included survey plan as proof of ownership together with deed of assignment from me. In fact, cash payments was made to my account, I simply added the payment receipts and wrote a nice LOE.

Although, I am yet to receive PPR but I know I've gone past the eligibility stage based on what is shown in my gcms notes. It was clearly written in the gcms note that my POF was acceptable.

You are definitely correct, this tread is getting annoyingly long too fast. You see everyone asking same questions over and over again.

People need to learn to read, that's the only way one can be confident of his/her application. Asking random questions can even lead to mistakes because people tend to answer based on what they feel eventhough the instructions are boldly written on cic website.

A read on page 0 to 3 of this tread is even enough to give good direction to this express entry journey.

4tunebest:

Now this is becoming repulsively annoying.

Please let's learn to read at least page 0 of this thread and stop continuous repetition of questions that had been answered previously.

I have been a silent reader of this thread, submitted my profile few weeks ago and I never asked any generic question here because all the information I needed from IELTS to ECA, etc, I got, not by asking questions, but by taking time to go through the first 10 pages.

Taking some time to go through the relevant pages is just a tip of the iceberg compared to the tedious journey ahead. If we can't do that, I wonder how we'll have the tenacity to go through the real deal.
