Education / Re: To All Graduate 2nd Class Lower In Nigeria by febirim09: 12:54pm On Jan 03, 2022

Can you give me a name to the NGO?
Want to do Start an Internship this year
Or others you know about

It's quite a long time I can't quite recall the name properly now. There are loads of organisations who would take an intern, just show you're good to go and how to can contribute sincerely to their growth.....
Education / Re: To All Graduate 2nd Class Lower In Nigeria by febirim09: 1:39pm On Jan 02, 2022
There are lots of opportunities that abound for you as a 2:2 graduate. It's not only IT skills, there are thousands of opportunities. But you need to decide where you want to be, don't choose something cos everyone is doing it. Decide the area, upgrade yourself in the area you decide to play at. I graduated, got 3 job offers after school, 1 in my course of study, an NGO and a bank. I settled for the Bank cos it allowed me to remain in the heart of town where I can follow through on my aspirations. I resigned furthered my education, started a business that paid 6-7 figures. You can be anything, don't let anyone or anything stop you. All the best

Phones / Re: Apple Iphone 13 Pro Max OR Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G by febirim09: 3:17pm On Dec 24, 2021
Check reviews and comparison on YouTube unfortunately some people here have used only one of both and views will be one-sided. I personally know someone who uses the two and they both perform great.
Braveryy:
Hello Nlanders.

Please help me decide between these two beasts. The Samsung release date is next year but I'm willing to wait if it is a better choice.

I'm after special features, a good camera and a lasting battery.

Budget : 800k (Nothing more)

Thanks.

Travel / Re: Please Are Local Airline Tickets Cheaper In The Airport Than Online by febirim09: 11:24pm On Dec 15, 2021
It depends on the timing. Airlines sell flights by batches say 23 K batch, 30k batch, 41K, etc. It's first come first serve. Once a batch is exhausted you cannot buy it again you only have options of the other batches. Normally people would prefer a cheaper flight and so when you have all batches available they take the cheapest and so it finishes first. The airport ticketing person and your phone have same view to buy the tickets. So you may see 23K flight but perhaps in another 10 mins it's exhausted because others have booked it.

This may not be perfect. As everything under the sun. Does it work ? Yes if you make it work.. Will it work for everyone? No. Why not? Not all footballers are successful, not all barbers are successful, not all shop owners are... Obviously cos the level of skill, environment, etc... A friend of mine got involved and pays school fees of hundreds of kids under his scholarship scheme. But not everyone who posts online is informed, not everything on nairaland is accurate. I do know for a fact some who come up with negative feedback are those who obviously failed and couldn't make it work but it's falacy to call it a scam. It's like saying Close up or Coca cola is a scam because you did a distributor business with them and didn't succeed

it's stressful, exhausting...not what I really love/want to be doing

My boss dosent like me...I can perceive my colleague see me as incompetent hence I don't have their respect

But then it pay this bills...that's the only motivation for me

I feel it shouldn't be that way...it should be more than money

I want to resign...

Just thinking out loud

I totally understand you, I can relate entirely, what you should ask yourself is what is your dream life like and what do you need to do to get there and work it from down up. It's what I did and no regrets 2yrs + and counting

Romance / Re: Do I Tell My Boyfriend He's Not Smart ? by febirim09: 7:00pm On Jun 07, 2020
cynosuree:
Good morning. This issue has been bothering me for a long time, and I feel like it's too sensitive to ask for second opinions from people I know so I figured I'd maybe ask some strangers on the internet.

I've been with my boyfriend for about 6 months now and he's everything I ever wanted in a man. Physically, he's gorgeous, and he also loves me alot. He's kind, he's patient, communicates effectively and all. You know, all the good stuff.

But here's the problem, he cannot hold a conversation beyond "what are you doing" , "what did you eat" (and all that boring stuff) to save his life. I'm not even talking about intellectual conversations like quantum theory or anything, normal conversations about stuff that's happening around the world or around us. Anytime we try to, it usually fails spectacularly. He either ends up missing the ENTIRE point and saying something totally unrelated, or he just waits for me to say what I think so he can go "Yeeaaaa that's true" , leaving me really pissed.

He has absolutely NOTHING intelligent to contribute to any serious conversation, and this hurts me alot because it is a HUGE turn off and I'm slowly losing interest in him. It's a very tricky situation because he does/did well academically, he graduated with very good grades but that's about it...nothing more. I didn't notice it at first - before we started dating, or I would never have dated him because it is a deal breaker for me.

I have considered telling him but I don't exactly know how to approach the conversation without being rude/insensitive, I know telling him would really hurt him and I don't want that. I've also thought about learning how to live with it, because no one is perfect right? Maybe I'm asking for too much?

The latter option is what I've been doing and it's gradually killing me. I fear that I'll fall out of love completely with him and end up hating myself for ruining a good thing, because he's a really good guy .

I'd like to know what you think

Pls tell him so he can improve, do it with care
