Education / Re: International Business Or Human Resources Management by feeldevoe(m): 1:04am On Jun 28, 2008 |
I guess it all depends on what ur plans for the future are. I think International Business is more broader and has more options than HRM. |
Travel / Re: Why Is Everyone Keen On Going To The Uk For Their Masters by feeldevoe(m): 12:19am On Jun 13, 2008 |
North American and Uk degrees are respected in Nigeria. After studies in the US, students are normally allowed to work for a year and therafter One would need a sponsor for a Work permit. Work Permits are normally hard to get since it's based on a quota and individuals with technical degrees like engineering stand more of a chance to be granted one. The UK on the other hand is more flexible, Students are allowed to work for a year, though there are speculations that this might be extended to two years, after that I believe one has options of an HSMP or work permit. In terms of fees for graduate students, the UK might be a cheaper route since its mostly a one year course compared to two years in the States, but for Undergraduate study I would say the US has an upper hand when one factors in cost of living. |

Romance / Re: Are Virgins Still Respected? by feeldevoe(m): 9:31pm On Jun 04, 2008 |
I think the whole virginity thing is a little bit overated. Whether a girl or dude is a virgin or not aint gat nothing to do with respect. |
Travel / Re: What Did You First Experience In The US? by feeldevoe(m): 7:04am On May 30, 2008 |
Landed In amsterdam on me way to the US. Went to use the restroom and had no clue it was an automatic flush, so after carrying out my business and was busy pulling up my pants, the toilet just flushed on its own accord I nearly jumped outta my skin. Landed in san francisco and all the ladies I walked pass were smiling at me, thought it was because I was cute not knowing it's the culture out here. Glad I didnt approach any females. First two days in Mview I didnt eat anything tangible cos I didnt know where the restaurants were and was too proud to ask. Third day I summoned courage and asked and was directed to castro street where i found dozens of restaurants, I was all chinese food thereafter for the entire semester. |
Travel / Re: After My Second Attempts I Want To Apply Again To Us Embassy by feeldevoe(m): 8:36am On May 28, 2008 |
Dude, I think your future US visa appplications are screwed because of the differing reasons of your past applications. Would advise u to chill on the US visa for now, and try applying for a visa to the Uk or some other first world country and reapply to the US from there. Goodluck. |

Getting a visa at the embassy shouldnt be that difficult. U just gotta get the right document, dress conservatively, keep a steady eye contact and handle yourself with confidence. Try not to act cocky or overly nervous. A basic knowledge about your major and college of choice is also expected. My advice would be to do as much research as possible. its not a requirement neither is it necessary to pay your fees in advance. When u get to the states do what u gotta do to get ur status changed to an immigrant. Good luck fellas. |
