Dear V.O, Of what length of time does it take for wife of a permanent resident to go for interview after filing? What are the factors that can speed or slow the processing of the interview? If this question has been previously answered let someone refer me to the thread because I suspect someone has been deleting this question for the third time. It is unfair everyone has equal right of speech and your question is as important as mine.

No, there is no appealing visa adjudications.

Thanks. If the person failed to obtain visa as a group invited her and perhaps another group on a different occasion invites the same person in the same month can she be granted visa this time given that she was denied in the former?

V.O, Thanks and well done for the good job y'all have been doing here. Someone who was granted invitation was denied visa. The question is, can this person appeal her case, if yes what is the process to follow?

Are you asking about time or cost? The time depends on the age of the child and the child's marital status. For the cost, go to www.USCIS.gov and search for "I-130".

Thanks for the question well attended to. May I know if the citizen who is filling for the children who have already married can file for eight of them at the same time or is permitted to file for one only?

Hi VO,
Please how much does it take a parent who is a US citizen already in the states to file for the child who is not in the states already?
Even if you might not know, do please give me a guess or an estimated guess to help someone plan her logistics towards the like condition.

Yes you can track it. After making your payment for the green card, you can start checking by logging into https://elis.uscis.dhs.gov . It will be displaying "Your application/petition has been accepted and is pending review" some days after your payment. Later it will "change to card produced". You will get your card within 3 days of seeing card produced.

You are true bro, it reads: STATUS DETAILS
Your application/petition has been accepted and is pending review.
Thanks for your assistance.

oh no I'm talking of ur stopover at Doha

I was inside the airport throughout. You keep alert, walk around, and keep checking the screen board for information about your flight. Be doing this than sleeping then you are safe.Your journey at the end wouldn't be far from safe. When the flight is ready to board you proceed to the right gate, pass through security check.Do all that and enter your flight.Welcome to America and congrats though! Have I answered well now?

I finally arrived here in Michigan by 1 am, a lot of immigration delays, in addition, our connecting flight to Chicago had a lot of delays. This caused us to arrive Chicago later than we should, causing us to miss our connecting flights. I had three people connecting to Atlanta miss theirs even the one for Arkasas. But we all got reschedule time. That made me to arrive later than expected and my host ran to and fro to the airport many times untill we finally met by the time I had said.I enjoyed the trip but it was stressful. Food stuffs are welcome but ensure that they were sun dried. If you follow Qatar and finds out you missed your flight ensure that u claim your luggage that normally should have been claimed at your final destination. If you may like to call your host at that point to put him or her through about the condition at hand, try to change one dollar into coins to be able to make call to ur host since you do not yet possess U.S line nor would you buy it at the airport.

Dekonjay: Good evening everyone. Been away for sometime busy preparing for our trip. Arrived Dallas safely last night after 15hours trip from Europe (where We were based). Thank God the journey was stress free.
For anyone arriving Dallas/Fort Worth international airport please be prepared to spend about two hours to cross Custom and Border security. We spent three hours in all at the airport. It's a long and lengthy process for the paper works. After we got off the plane we walked to the custom check point and joined the queue for NON US CITIZENS on a visa. The queue was very long. 90% of the people were Asians and South Americans as our flight arrived at the same time with that of Qatar airways. It took about an hour for it to get to our turn. When we got to the custom officer we handed him our passports and sealed envelopes. He asked us if we are immigrating today, we said yes. He asked us to confirm our address where we will be residing which we did. Then he took our digital prints and pictures and then accompanied us to a waiting room where he asked us to wait until we were called.
We waited for about two hours before we were called. Our finger prints were taken again, this time the old fashioned way, by ink. Then we asked to sign a form writing our full names. We waited another 10 mins and then we were called again and handed our passports.
We were totally exhausted. I was even more worried for our luggage. Luckily they were all intact and waiting for us.
Please always check your passports have been stamped when the custom officers hands you your passports. We found out our passports weren't stamped on entry after we picked up our luggage at the last security post.
That's it all for now. Will try to keep up as time goes on.
Love this! It's informing.Weldone lady.

To be fair, the beans had little tiny worms in them. (I have stopped shopping at that particular market.)

You should have seen me standing there defiantly eating as much kilishi as I could while the agent went through my other items.
Interesting!

Our honourable moderator, with due respect and gratitude to ur good works here, I had expected to see ur response to this. I feel that if the thread in question is peculiar to a particular people not even far from here, more reasons to allow it thrive at this corner precisely abounds.Personally, in my judgement, if it's not given acceptance herein it does not worth existing entirely. In ur govt, consider d voice and demand of the masses, pls sir!

jejelady: I am thinking of opening a thread on the travel section: "Let's talk about job and accomodation in the USA here". The objective of this thread is to post jobs and apartments vacancies; we never can tell maybe someone among us need a roomie, a job that fits thw experience, etc. This will not only benefit the DV section nairalanders but any nairalander in the USA. We never could tell how much it would help. since i have a lot of ppl asking for roomies, i can post it here and if you have accomodation or job posting/ issues, then u can also post it on this thread. If welcome, i will do my part, i will do my best to visit and update the thread at least once a day. Please what r ur opinions? I don't want to open the thread and it gets moved or deleted... So Justwise, please approve.
What a great and undebateble idea. God is ever at work here I'm not surprised. @Bee God bless u continually. We count it priviledged to hear this and d4 accept it with gratitude.

Dekonjay: Anyone in the house heading to Dallas, Texas? For everyone that has had their visa issued, how are preparations going? As for me, I'm finding it hard to make up my mind on what to take along with me and what to leave behind. When you have to take only 60kg from all your personal belongings it gets really hard.
I would also like to suggest we keep this forum alive by posting our preparation and travel experience here since we lost the other thread. What do you all think about the idea?
I think 007 is heading to dt destination. Your idea is welcome, I mean to me personally. May I know pls the food items that one is free to go with and they will not be ceased or destroyed at the point of entry? However, as for my date it wld be ending of the month, as soon as it's booked u will get dat. Other details later.

This sounds like family based IV application.I personally don't know much about the requirements but I think most have to be gotten by the petitioner from the US agencies.But if some are needed from the applicant in Nigeria,then the ffg may help;

I.Insurance policies/deeds/income tax returns/social security records/census records/family bible entries:I don't think this is popular in this part of our world.

2.Govt id papers: U can go for the National ID card.

3.Passports: U can get this easily

4.Tax card:I think u can go to internal revenue to get a e-tax card if employed.

5.Records of family records: Pictures can help in this regard and also for residence.

I hope this helps a bit.
