Politics / Re: Minimum Wage: FG Offers ₦‎62,000 After Hours Of Meeting by Fiyin007: 9:21am On Jun 08
This right here is the solution to the present problem. The present government policy is the root cause of the economic crisis and reversing it is the only way out. Enough of the merry go round motion. Add repayment of fuel subsidies and reversal of Pms to N162/litre too!!

pianogirl:
Lobatan!!! NLC Strike Episode 2 loading.
We all saw this coming. After all, N62,000 is higher than N60,000. Isn't it?
Shebi it was National Grid they shut down before. This time around, dem go kuku disconnect all the electric poles join. Let's see how this movie would eventually play out.

On a more serious note, NLC should make more pressing demands beyond minimum wage that affects the entirety of the Nigerian population, not just the civil servants and salary earners. How about insisting on government tackling the inflation rates and high cost of living, price regulation of goods and services, reducing the electricity tariffs, creating enabling policies for business owners and ensuring the welfare of every Nigerian.
Politics / Re: Strike: Electricity Unions Shut Down National Grid by Fiyin007: 10:10am On Jun 03
Labour needs all the support they can get from ALL NIGERIANS at this point in time for the strike to succeed.

surgical:
This is the vest they can do,if they adopt your suggestion, this wicked government will term they saboteurs, that they want to derail their well thought policies that was just about to deliver eldorado to the people, they will make NLC the fall guy
That's when you will different fake and half baked analyst telling us how we missed a perfect opportunity to turn Nigeria to a first world in a twinkle if not for NLC

And sing the colonialists national anthem too.

Let the strike continue for the next 1 month na with port shutdown and supply routes blocked. We shall see then

Angelfrost:

Filling stations that steadily supply fuel to the elites?!!

Dey play first.

Even this grid shutdown, most top leaders and elite members of this society have uninterrupted power supply.
Politics / Re: Strike: Electricity Unions Shut Down National Grid by Fiyin007: 9:27am On Jun 03
Labour fight is unreasonable and unrealistic cos they're not tackilng the root cause of the problem which is the floating of the naira and the removal of fuel subsidy. If they're serious they'd fight for the benefit of all Nigerians and not government workers alone. There's inflation already with 30k miminum wage and you want 494k for government workers only. How daft

Except they have unlimited fuel cos Fuel stations will shutdown too.

pianogirl:
In as much as I am very much in support of Labour going on this strike, the question is who will the impact of shutting down the national grid have more effect on? The average Nigerians/masses trying to survive or the politicians and lawmakers at the helm of affairs?
Sadly, your guess is as good as mine. The bitter truth is these class of people aren't feeling the heat of the moment at all. They can afford to generate their own power independently without blinking. As long as this move isn't directly affecting Aso Rock and State government Houses, the Electricity Unions should have a rethink.

Politics / Re: NLC Mobilises Unions For Nationwide Strike by Fiyin007: 2:07pm On Jun 02
The only thing government is going to succeed in doing is further dividing Nigerians by agreeing to pay an unrealistic minimum wage which is only going to benefit civil servants. They have not created an enabling environment for private coys to afford paying bogus minimum wage yet cost of goods would increase and the same private workers are expected to buy from the same market?? If NLC were truly serious they'd demand government to humble themselves admit their mistake of removing fuel subsidy and revert fuel price back to N162/Litre for the benefit of ALL NIGERIANS.
Politics / Re: FG To Sanction Discos Supplying Below 20 Hours To Band A – Adelabu by Fiyin007: 9:34pm On Apr 11
The banding makes absolutely no sense cos those on Band A are not more Nigerian than others. We should be asking why an economist is our power minister. Renewed Hope indeed
Politics / Re: Budget Padding: “our Senators Are All In Support Of Senator Ningi”– Labour Party by Fiyin007: 1:18pm On Mar 16
They are NEVER going to pass that law into existence. The solution is simple ask your senator if they collected the 500m if the answer is negative simply recall them from office because its either they've 'chopped and cleaned mouth' or they are not lobbying well enough for constituent development.
Those who have collected must give account after a year in office. He who has an ear .....
Racoon:
Silly damage control. These are the same Labour Party Senators who collect expensive SUV cars while this nation is actively bleeding financially. The executivie is corrupt. The NASS is corrupt. The judiciary is morbidly corrupt. No way out for this nation except death sentence for corruption
Politics / Re: NERC Fines 11 DISCOs N10.5bn Over Overbilling Of Unmetered Customers by Fiyin007: 8:23pm On Feb 09
It would have made more sense if the Discos were directed to provide free meters to the unmetered consumers and also credit the excess charges to the meters
Politics / Re: LASG Acquires More Train-Rolling Stocks For Blue And Red Line Rail Operations by Fiyin007: 8:10am On Feb 02
It'd be a good idea for LAMATA to increase speed of the electric trains on the blue line just as fares has been recently increased too.

I don't see price of the diesel and Aviation fuel crashing anytime soon as long as Dangote still has loans to repay which he'd want to quickly get done.

Let's don't forget Dangote has huge debts to pay. Its one thing for the refinery to start refining crude, its really up to him to either sell refined products to the Nigerian market or export it to the west African sub region where its more profitable!!

People deserve the kind of leaders they get. Bad people can't produce good leaders and good people can't produce bad leaders. Doing the same things over and expecting different results is INSANITY.

Not strategically wise for Kidd with Baye on his case. If I was Baye, I would have poured mine on the opposite container on my swing to counter the tilt and leave the two to knock each other out. Unless it was forbidden by
