Crime / Airstrikes Destroy Boko Haram Commanders’ Homes In Borno by Flakkysultan(m): 8:59pm On Jul 06, 2020 |
Structures housing Boko
Haram Commanders in Parisu
and Bula Bello in Sambisa
forest area of Borno State
have been destroyed by
airstrikes conducted by the Air
Task Force of the Operation
Lafiya Dole, The Nation has
learnt.
According to a statement by
the Coordinator Defence Media
Operations, Major General
John Enenche, the well-
fortified structures hidden
under forest vegetation,
served as stronghold for Boko
Haram Commanders.
It disclosed that the air
interdiction was carried out
after “recent aerial
surveillance missions showed
increased activities of
terrorists in a cluster of
structures in the middle of

The statement read in part,
“the Air Task Force of
Operation LAFIYA DOLE has
destroyed the dwellings of
Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs)
leaders and neutralized some
of their fighters in separate
air strikes conducted at Parisu
and Bula Bello in the Sambisa
Forest Area of Borno State.
“The air interdiction missions
were executed on 3 July 2020
as part of the ongoing
subsidiary Operation LONG
REACH II after intelligence
reports indicated a resurgence
of terrorists’ activities in the 2
settlements. Parisu, with its
booby-trapped access routes,
fortified check points and
structures camouflaged under
the forest vegetation, served
as a stronghold for the BHT
Commanders, while recent
aerial surveillance missions
showed increased activities of
the terrorists in a cluster of
structures in the middle of
Bula Bello.
“Consequently, the Air Task
Force dispatched its fighter
jets to attack the 2 locations.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF)
jets, while taking turns to
engage the targets, scored
accurate bomb and rocket
strikes, resulting in the
destruction of some of the
structures as well as the killing
of several terrorists.
“The Chief of the Air Staff, Air
Marshal Sadique Abubakar,
commends the ATF for their
dedication, dexterity and
professionalism. The Defence
Headquarters equally urges
them to intensify the air
offensive against the
terrorists and all other criminal
elements threatening the
peace and security of our
beloved country.” |

Crime / Dogara Attacks APC Over Picture With Hushpuppi, Makes Revelation by Flakkysultan(m): 8:56pm On Jul 05, 2020 |
Former speaker of the House
of Representatives, Yakubu
Dogara has reacted to a
statement by the All
Progressives Congress, APC
calling for an investigation
into his activities over a
picture with a disgraced
fraudster, Ramoni Olorunwa
Abbas, alias hushpuppi.
Dogara, in a statement made
available to POLITICS NIGERIA,
revealed that he was ready to
go to prison should a
connection between him and
hushpuppi be established.
“The statement issued by one
Yekini Nabena on behalf of
the All Progressives Congress
(APC) desperately seeking to
link Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara to
suspected cyber criminals on
the basis of a group picture
taken at a public event is to
say the least; infantile, rash
and fatuous.”
“This smellfungus, called
Nabena should have known
that it is share mindlessness
to attempt to execute
mischief and blackmail in
plain sight before the public
some of whom are better
informed. Who is that fool
that links people to criminal
activity simply because they
appeared in a group picture
at a public event comprising
of people from different
walks of life?”
“If appearing in a group
photograph is what Nabena is
now using to establish a link
or connection to crimes or
alleged criminals then why
didnt he issue such a
statement in the wake of the
arrest of a suspected money
launderer by name Ismaila
Mustapha, AKA: Mompha
whose pictures with notable
personalities including some
APC Governors are all over the
social media? Is Nabena guilty
of selective amnesia or share
perfidy? Who is Nabena
scared of? Who is he trying to
fool?”
“For the records, Rt Hon
Yakubu Dogara has agreed to
waive his right to a trial and
go to jail if Nabena establishes
any form of links or
connection between him and
the alleged cybercriminal
before the event where the
picture was taken and after
the event until now. For Rt
Hon Yakubu Dogara, that
picture was just another
picture among the thousands,
if not hundreds of thousands
of such pictures with
Nigerians from all walks of
life.
If the said Nabena is worth
his salt, next time he speaks
he should speak to issues
affecting the welfare of our
union which are well known
to all discerning Nigerians.”
“Nabena should or ought to
know that there is no honour
in speaking about group
pictures taken at public
events when the nation is
bleeding and most Nigerian
families are struggling and
hurting.” |
