If this is all the information you gathered please it will really help you to do your research well before wasting your time and money..., so you have idea most of the schools in Austria only accept IELTS

2. Anyone that tells you, you only legalize your academic documents alone is telling you lies

3.Before sending your transcript to Moe, hope you have a way of getting it out

4. Before going for authentication, hope your school already send confirmation letter to MOE, and lastly hope you have somewhere or enough money to lodge in hotel before your authentication is done

Please what is the content of this confirmation letter? My school said it's attestation letter and they are asking if it's for my certificate or for the transcript.

1. That was why I mentioned I was just starting out. Thank you for this information. This leads me to other questions: If IELTS is a must, why do some schools ask for a letter that you were taught in English?

2. Do you How do I get my transcript out of Moe?

3. Typically, how long does it take to complete authentication?

some of the stories we read on this thread sometimes. . .

1. I begged him to help me with his battery but he said if he removes it from his car his car will start having problems plus he was suspecting that my alternator will damage his battery

2. He said he will help me but I will pay him N3k, just to help me jumpstart my car oh

3. I was at a lonely stretch of road and nobody wanted to stop and listen to me because it was too late. I ended up sleeping there in my vehicle overnight.

4. My tire went flat on third mainland, I wanted to change the tire but those agberos did not allow me. I ended up paying them N2k to assist me to do what I could already have done by myself.

5. I was in the process of opening my booth to bring out my jack and wheel spanner before I heard one kind noise and before I could look up I saw Lastma clamp on my tires and a towing van reversing to position well in front of my bumper

6. My tire caught a nail, no vulcanizer for miles, my spare is not even very good plus my jack can fail me. How I wish there was a vulcanizer nearby I wouldn’t have rode on my rims damaging it totally

7. I wanted to call you but no nepa to recharge my phone

8. I wish there was light I would have sent you the file but it was on my laptop with a low battery

9. I couldn’t see well because I have no torch light to see what I was trying to replace in my engine bay

10. I woke up, took my bath, wore my clothes and stepped out of the house only to reach my vehicle and find out one of my tires went flat overnight. That’s why I came late to work.

And many many more excuses . . . there is one gadget that can avert all the scenarios above and it’s in the pictures below

Programming / Re: My Software Engineering Journey - Alx (journal) by Flocky: 12:16am On Aug 24, 2022
As at today, I have completed the video on bash scripting by amigoscode. I must say I have really learnt alot in such a short period. I also learnt from amigoscode to always try not to dive into learning to code but try to focus more on understanding the concepts first before coding.

Back to ALX, there isn't much projects yet and there won't be much projects until next week. We were given assignment on GRIT. There is so much emphasis on GRIT and your ability to persevere as it gets tougher and the reason for this is obvious. Looking at the calendar and activities we have for the next 3 months, I saw there would be projects dropping back to back and it only gets harder as it goes. Well, my mind is ready for this.

I came across a 10hours video on Freecodecamp; The C Programming Language with Dr. Chuck. According to freecodecamp, in the course, Dr. Charles Severance will help you learn C programming by taking you through the classic 1978 C programming book written by Ritchie and Kernighan. Dr. Charles Severance (aka Dr. Chuck) is a professor at the University of Michigan and a very popular software instructor.

I started the video today and hope to learn as much as I can for the next 5days before we start getting projects again on ALX.

Currently doing their VA training, I don't know if I should just further my knowledge in front end web design I did small training on it or I should do this alx software engineering they're very good in what they do

Just as Newusername suggests, your little experience in frontend web development will really help you in your software engineering journey. I advise you try the software engineering programme too.

I'm also in the same cohort with you. I've done my shell navigation, emacs and vi tasks, but I'm currently stuck on flowchart and pseudocode. Truth be told, ALX is 95% self learning, and the concepts are not easy to comprehend by novice with no prior knowledge of computer language.

True, the concepts are not easy to understand most especially when you are new to programming. That is why I do not only stay on the materials given to us by ALX. I try to do some google search or read up books too sometimes even before going through theirs.

How are you coping with your projects now?

Do you advise I start learning python now or what do you think I can do to make the learning path smoother for me.
If you have any resources that may help, please kindly share

Hello. Apologies for the delayed response. I have been really busy trying to be ahead.

I advise you start with C programming. But before then you may want to learn about shell navigation, Git and GitHub.

For C programming, I recommend any of these two books; The C programming Language by Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M. Ritchie or Sams Teach Yourself C in 24hours by Tony Zhang. But if you prefer Videos instead, you can look up for a course on C by Progamiz.

So yesterday we were given resources and projects on EMACs and Vim text editors. I kinda feel more comfortable using VIM (I will just stick with it for now).

Today, we got resources and projects on GIT and GitHub. I have learnt command line git operations like git add, git commit, git push, git pull, git clone, git status etc. and also what README files are and how to write a good README and commit messages. Now this becomes harder just as expected.

We also got resources on a topic titled Map Your Mind - So here I learnt a little about flowcharts, whiteboarding, pseudocodes and algorithm. I didn't really dwell much here but I hope to look at it again this weekend. On the other hand, I continued my bash scripting video by Amigoscode.

So far, I love the fact that I have been able to keep up with all the projects. I really hope to maintain this momentum as it get harder.

Good evening. I have just been admitted to the same programme. We're starting by September. I want to know the challenges involved and the way I can cope with the 70hrs per week.
Any other info will be appreciated. Thank you.

The programme is intense. 70 hours per week is non negotiable for this programme, most especially if you don't have prior knowledge of programming or computer science. But with proper time management, it is very possible.

So we were given a project on shell navigation.

Here we were introduced to Linux navigation and Linux - manipulation of files. I successfully completed the tasks in the project and ready for upcoming tasks.

For Linux, I came across a video on YouTube by Amigoscode on Linux navigation and bash scripting. I would be going through the video tomorrow. Here I hope to learn almost everything about Linux tomorrow.

Quote to self - "Continue to maintain the passion and perseverance for very long term goal".

We were grouped into a group of 5 people in each group. This means I have a group of people to discuss, share ideas and learn together after the onboarding.

For today, I have been able to set up my virtual environment. I will be working with Ubuntu 20.4 version, My GitHub profile is set too. I have also gotten used to some Linux commands.

I decided to go a little further by getting my hands on some books. I have also started studying the book Sam Teach Yourself C in 24 Hours by Zhang, Tony.

“Of all the hard things we have to do everyday, the most difficult one of them all is to keep going”.

My understanding of the above quote is; Fred Swaniker - in his words, "Do hard things; all of us who are privileged enough to be healthy, to be alive and to have education. Our role is not to do small things and to solve small problems, the only way we can justify privilege is by solving the world’s biggest problems and by doing hard things".

We all may have daily tasks which takes us closer to our goal and aspiration but we must ensure to possess consistency, perseverance, grit, and dedication to complete them irrespective of every obstacle we encounter and how hard they become. This of course is the most difficult of them all but we must DO IT!

This is me documenting my journey as I take on this challenge.
