Family / Re: Nigerian Women SPOIL men with their over tolerance by FlyDiva(f): 11:44am On Sep 20, 2008
You know what i am of the earnest opinion that any Nigerian (male or female) that disagrees with the OP is just swimming and infact drowning in a deep sea of denial, we all know the truth that we spoil Nigerian men, so that is why they have problems with those that can stand up to them and they start labelling us with "names". Sometimes it's not exactly our fault, it's mostly instilled in us as our core values, traditions, cultures and even religion. And these men are the worse for it.

@poster
i must say in truth that although the general idea is right, on the content is a Lil outdated, we spoil our men but not necessarily in those ways cos those actually seem a little outlandish, in now applies in more contemporary, modern albeit minute circumstances.
i mean i have a cousin who can't possibly go to school if his girlfriend doesn't pack his bag for him, really. and she doesn't see anything wrong with him cheating on her as well.
Our general slogan, "all men cheat, so handle it", the only amendment to that is make sure you don't bring it close enough to me that people begin to mock me,
and that my fellows is the truth, i  have people trying to convince of that all the time especially when i try  to voice different thoughts. it's crazy but true

@sayhi2ay and black pro and Kojo Ameda and all the others
Thank y'all for the contributionbut i have a number of questios and i hope y'all can help me out.
First of all i finished with a third class in biochemistry and i am looking to do my masters in the US, although i wish to diversify completely to study international and global affairs, as a result i intend to first of all do a graduate certificate program. what do you advice? Am i on the right track?
Secondly, i'm at a loss whether to do GMAT or GRE, what is the difference and d'ya think schools will accept one in place of the other, because i don't think it's affordable or wise to do the two?
Third, i was actually waiting to write the exams before i applied to the schools, so as to be able to submit complete application to them, i also intend to apply for the fall 2009 session, is that ok?
Now that personal statement is another source of concern to me. Please i need advice like asap.
Finally pls i can get addreses for reputable exam centres in abuja.
Thank you all a lot
Islam for Muslims / Re: Islamic Talk: by FlyDiva(f): 12:19am On Sep 12, 2008
@blabs787
My friend, still no place where any of the above verses says you should use singing coupled with guitar, talking drum, etc to worship God.

Psalms 66:4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. If you also read Jeremiah 44:19 And Daniel 3:5,10 & 15, you will see there are different modes of worship and singing and music is included in general modes of worship and I'm not only talking bout the Christian God here, If people can use all these to glorify and worship idols, h ow much more the God of heaven and earth who made all of it, doesn't he deserve at least some worship with these things which he created solely for his good pleasure?

Health / Re: Nigerians And Dirty Habits: Can We Ever Change? by FlyDiva(f): 10:49pm On Sep 07, 2008
Nuff said on this topic, big ups to tollu, dreeldee, kingdong and others that have aat least a sense of right and wrong. As for the likes of Seun and his undertows, shame on you, you should know better,
For the record, the OP never said Only nigerians are dirty, read it again but she's referring to the one she's mostly aware of, capisce?
Get real people, we all know the right things to do, then let's do it. simple.

Business / Re: "You Can't Ban Spraying, It's Our Culture" - KSA To Soludo by FlyDiva(f): 8:39pm On Mar 05, 2008
it's really amazing how ridiculously small minded we can be sometimes. I mean just because we've been doing something for donkey years doesn't make it alright and besides why are we so averse to change? Especially positive ones?
If i recall, in the days of old our people were so anti-change that they violently protested this so called westernizaton that has brought us different technologies, tarred road, portable water, simple and basic human rights and their awareness, i could go on you know. but that, as you can attest to doesn't imply that these changes are bad. It's a given that the period of adjustment might be long and arduos but we'll get through it and we'll find our fun in some other ways (don't we always?). So for all those tongue-lashing soludo and his supporters, i urge you to use your tongue to count your teeth, and do not look a gift horse in the mouth. Let us not make the mistakes our preceeding generations made that accounts for the lax in our progress and development. One step at a  time, Nigeria will be great and stand as a world power despite it's many psycophantic "patriots" of obsolete abd destructive 'cultures and traditions'.
The world is changing and moving fast, you'd better step up or step out.
