Education / Re: How Is Your Class Topper Fairing In Life So Far? by Flynnthekidd(m): 6:20pm On Jan 16, 2021
otipoju:
My Class toppers are doing very good.

One is an Associate Director with a finance company in Canada...earning like 110 Us dollars a year.

Another is a very big boy with Central Bank in Abuja.

I was in the top 1 to 3 always and i am grateful for all i have and what lies ahead.

Interestingly the ones that did not shine in primary school also have become medical doctors, astro physicist and i am happy for them.

At the end of the day, the race is not to the swift nor the battle to the strong but time and chance decides.

$110 a year You sure?

When you did your BVN and your biometrics was taken a NIN was automatically created for you linked to that BVN. That was during the period we had a thinking government with some few intellects in government. If you have a GTBank account, log into Internet banking or download the mobile app and you will see your NIN just below your BVN.

So I had a BVN generated NIN and I didn't know?? Lol so what's now the point of telling those with BVN to go generate NIN again?? Na those we dey do gra gra upandan dey try link NIN with their Sim I dey pity...with all the BVN, Biometrics and every other nonsense most of us already have/did they still need NIN to "track" criminals...na wa

I guess you are still pretty young (under 20 years). You will not understand the craze around >Mercedes-Benz 190, "V-Boot" and Mercedes "220 and 230 in the early and mid-90s and early 2000s. It was the ultimate symbol of wealth or status or at least higher middle-class status in Nigeria. Nothing dwarfed them... These were the classics.

Lol do you even know the meaning of "Ultimate"?? True the "V-Boot" is a classic but it wasn't the ultimate symbol of wealth or status...no try talk that thing again! It was actually more affordable than most of other luxury brand that were way out of reach of some rich folks but calling it The "Ultimate symbol of wealth" is a no no! Why it kinda stood out apart from it being cheap as compared to other brands, was it's speed and power but in terms of Reliability, Luxury, Driving Experience etc it couldn't stand up to some cars...Roll Royce, Cadillac,Aston Martins, Bentley,Audi,BMW are way ahead

One was even trying to compare Ford raptor F-150 with Mercedes Benz X class...untill I directed him to Google... The so called X class doesn't even make top 10 spot of the best pickup truck....ford raptor and ranger made top 10...we have the likes of Nissan, Honda, Toyota, GMC, VC in the top 10. But because people dey shout Benz Benz up and down, he wan drag Ford raptor with Mercedes Benz X class... Although he later realized he f*uked up without consulting Google before yarning benz benz!

Ahhhh!! Imagine the disrespect...Ford Raptor?? The person ment? X class that was a disaster...I don't think it lasted up to a year before they pulled the plug on the car even Mercedes called the car a disaster! The person no call Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Sierra,Toyoto Tacoma(I sure say the person never hear of this trucks) to follow Raptor compete na X class...omo people get mind ooooo

See ehn bros most of them have never even driven or own a Benz but you'll see them shouting Benz or nothing like they own the latest model. Remove brabus , g wagon, nothing dey Benz. There are a ton of brands out there that will give you a better performance for lesser price. Lexus is one of them. Those Benz fans if you ask them weytin be ordinary torque, they don't even know. Benz is a good ride no doubt but the hype in Nigeria is alarming. One of them was even saying Benz is a status of success and money lol so weytin you go now call person wey get Audi or BMW

Na just the mentality... na things wey dey reign their eyes they enter...even for Toyota trims, if you ask them wetin XLE,LE mean they no go know. Even V6,V8,V12... they no know but na to shout Benz like say na Rolls Royce
Autos / Re: The "Craze" For Benz Is Gradually Fading, Lexus Is Taking Over by Flynnthekidd(m): 11:43am On Dec 28, 2020
Everybody dey shout Benz this Benz that...if them ask una the spec of Benz now una no anything...lol BMW over Benz any day anytime! Benz is just Power and Speed but rides like Beamer,Audi and maybe Lexus have a better driving experience than Benz by a mile! Make una no dey overhype things...when last did Mercedes win an Auto Award?? But you see Audi and Beamer,no go there...na for those wey know ...Lexus is considerably gaining grounds considering that it's a relatively new brand it was founded in 1999 I think compared to luxury brands that have been since the 80s

TruthSeeker1:
I have come to realize that our approach to solving problems in Nigeria is generally poor. We often don't think deep and critically enough to clearly identify and understand the fundamental factors responsible for the problems we are faced with. As a result, we usually end up coming up with "solutions" that merely alleviate the symptoms of the problem, rather than carefully and effectively address the root cause of the disease.
Police brutality, bad governance, corruption, insecurity etc are, to me, symptoms of a problem whose cause we are yet to identify/ understand fundamentally. As long as we fail to address the ACTUAL cause of the problem, even when we successfully deal with the symptoms of the problem like police brutality and insecurity, other equally undesirable symptoms may still pop up.

Now that we can't identify the "ACTUAL" cause nko What can the so called actual cause be?
