The dividend of democracy. Ogas serving themselves with the luxury of office while a 15 year old dinosaur in Toyota corolla, tokumbo(toks) is worth from #1'750,000-2,200,000 because of the policies of these clowns in power,I mean the ones with the big sticks (governors and the president).
I can't imagined fighting IBB & ABACHA and the entire military juntas only to end up with these set of leaders.
What a shame!
. When General Sanni Abacha die, people were Celebrating, never knew we were celebrating our doom. Now the coast is clear. He had a better plan for Nigeria than democracy.

The youths make up 70% of the population and still can't utilize their numbers to take over leadership.

You will see the poverty stricken youths hailing their oppressors as they move in their expensive convoys driving around their massively underdeveloped states.Nigeria has the most shameless youths in the world.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVvjL7o0Iyo

the problem of Nigerian youth is abject poverty which is growing by the day. if we don't address this issue. we should just forget about rescuing the country.

the endsars organizer has the vibes and prudence to do this by gathering 78million in 4 days only to throw party and drink booze in the name of protester. But the hungry street urchins only need 500 naira to hijacked a peaceful protest.

the so call educated youths setup $100k gofundme for a disqualified bbn housemate while 87% of other graduates n hardworking youth are still living on faint hope.....

Stockholm syndrome on display is what gave this political jobbers the impression that stealing is not corruption....and they will loot until there is nothing left to loot again

if we are serious about 2023, we know what to do... .

i gave up all hope on Nigeria since 2015...

Imo state governor Lexus 570

Price range : $86,580–$91,580
Naira: N41,385,240 - N43,775,240
All these prices you are quoting are far from accurate. They are rather modest.
Are you not aware that they use armored upgrades to these vehicles?
If the regular model of land cruiser is $90k. Then the armored will be around $200k. Add cost of customs duty of another 75% +shipping+ corruption charges.
Those vehicles you see the governors drive in are in excess of 250m minimum.

All the prices you quoted are WRONG. The prices you gave are applicable to the regular version. BUT all these Governor's vehicles are BULLET PROOF versions. The prices are like 3 times higher (or more) than the prices you stated. Or maybe even like 4 or 5 times higher if you consider that these cars are FULLEST OPTIONS specs + Customized to Executive Governor class.
My prices are the conservative estimates. Even at the prices I quoted, when they cars are imported into Nigeria they are more expensive when you include custom duties.

Fast forward to the present day when they use the most expensive luxury cars in the market: Mercedes, BMW's, Lexus, Toyota and Range Rover's.

The cost and maintenance of their high end security convoys cost billions of naira and to what end. How does this expenditure benefit the poverty capital of the world..

Prime Ministers and Presidents of European countries see this and laugh at African Chimps on motorcades.
The roguish political structure and governance system make Nigeria ungovernable - create poverty, dissident, violent and secessionist groups and poverty all over the country.

Instead of change to a good political structure and governance system, politicians move around with armed forces guarding them in motorcades.

Botswana and Namibia leaders are not the best, but conservative. Their culture is not about opulence and ostentatious display of wealth.

There also needs to be a cultural re-orientation.

No 1 was a Toronto certificate governor who can hardly boast of owning any industry that employs labour before he joined politics.

No 2 was an audio engineer who can’t even change his burst car tire on the road.

If not for the ugly religious influence of far northern Nigeria on the south, southern Nigerians would be competing with Oyibos.

The only things made in Nigeria that one can find on shelves of European supermarkets are made in the south of Nigeria.

They will be laughing at your price list.

You are quoting the cost of BASE models.

These cars have full option versions which they drive. There are also the bullet proof versions which double the price tags.

For example, those range rovers you are seeing are Sentinel versions which the starting price is $400,000.

That's N200,000,000. Add the cost of importation and customs duties to the N200m.

Lol, African leaders..

Not asking for anything new. In the past the second in command to Obasanjo, Shehu Musa Yardua moved in a five car convoy of 504's in the 70's. And Tinubu's convoy in 1999 consisted of Peugeot 504's.

The governor is moving in a 20 car convoy of the most expensive luxury cars in the market. By the time you add the cost of the Deputy Governor,House of Assembly Speaker,Deputy Speaker and Commissioners convoys you will find some states spend billions of naira that could have gone to provide portable water, hospitals and schools buying luxury cars that only serve a few public servants.

If you ask them to vote for Peter obi , will they agree ?

They hate truth. They love oppression. One man was taking tea with N20 sachet milk, they said he is the saviour, he will sell off 8 planes in Presidential fleet to save money.
